RACE TWO

PAGEANTRY (1) takes his 1st look at this venue after 3 starts at Redcliffe since arriving in Qld. Settling rearward when 2nd up over the 1780m 2 runs back, he was strong to the line for the bronze behind SHEZ GOT BLING. Beating himself when firing up in front last start, he can atone for that effort here.

TICK OF THE CLOCK (6) started from the ace last tine out when tackling the Redcliffe sprint trip and did not have the smoothest passage when fading as WHATELEY landed the prize. Strong to the line here 3 starts back when wide off the track to grab the silver. With the soft trip on offer, he will be looking for space.

REDDY FIRE (7) has a nice record here at the track that shows 7 wins and 9 minors. He held on for the bronze as LIVING FREE carved it out in a Trot Rods heat last start and is a podium hope here.

TEACHERS PET (5) has a 50%-win strike rate here with 3 wins and 2 minors in her 6 outings. Returning from a spell for this without a public trial, she can improve on her achievements in this.

SELECTIONS: PAGEANTRY (1), TICK OF THE CLOCK (6), REDDY FIRE (7), TEACHERS PET (5)
SUGGESTED BET: PAGEANTRY (1) to win

RACE THREE

CLARES FOOL (2)
has developed a smart record here at the track with a pair of wins and a pair of 2nds in his 5 outings. Setting the tempo here 2 starts back from gate 1, he was unable to see it out when grabbed in the closing stages by MELTON LUCKY. Tough in the breeze last time at AP, he can look to dictate.

AURORA ROSE (1) eased from gate 3 to find the pegs last start before hitting the line in nice order when officially last, but only 6m from the winner in a blanket finish. 5m in arrears the start prior from a similar position when 3 back against the poles, she has the options here to make a challenge.

NIFTY STUDLEIGH (6) started from gate 1 last time out over the AP mile when starting at big odds and chasing as MAYWYN TROUBADOR arrived. He will be pinned away and probing to offer here.

MARTHAS VINEYARD (8) resumes from a spell and is a two-time winner at this track. Returning from a long spell, she has been to the trials twice to prepare and is a rough hope of finding a minor.

SELECTIONS: CLARES FOOL (2), AURORA ROSE (1), NIFTY STUDLEIGH (6), MARTHAS VINEYARD (8)
SUGGESTED BET: CLARES FOOL (2) to win

RACE FIVE

DANCING IN AMERICA (1) will be 2nd up in Qld and has been kept fresh since his 1st appearance back on April 8. Making an error on that occasion, he was not that far away despite the issue as AQUA CRUISER took the prize. The gate is a big plus, and he gets his chance to capitalise.

LA PISTOLA (7) settled in the pocket trail 2 starts back over the Redcliffe sprint trip and hit the target when taking the closing shot up the passing lane. Working home wide off the track last start after easing from gate 4, he takes his 1st look at this track and can look to make it a challenging display.

GOTTAHAVEAHOBBIE (8) make his 1st appearance in Qld for new trainer Graham Dwyer and arrives with 4 wins and 11 minors in his career. Only 2m away at Bendigo 2 runs back, the distance is a query, yet he stays under notice.

ARTS PEREGRINE (2) is winless in 22 attempts here at Marburg but has managed to fill a minor in 9 of those. Buried in the run last start when grabbing 3rd behind subsequent winner ARTISTIC SAINT, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: DANCING IN AMERICA (1), LA PISTOLA (7), GOTTAHAVEAHOBBIE (8), ARTS PEREGRINE (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

SCHEU CREEK (1)
was caught trying to secure position last start after rolling forward from gate 6 and was forced to retreat to get closer to the pegs and his chances evaporated in the process. Locked away against the poles the start prior, he has the gate to fire out here and taking control can look to dictate.

ARTISTIC SAINT (6) made the most of the ace last time out at The Triangle, holding them wide over the 2040m and then taking them all the way. A winner when leading here 5 runs back and running home a tidy closing 800m split, he will be pinned away here and be searching for the space to challenge.

OUR BELLA LUCIA (3) features in a stable switch with Vicki Rasmussen now preparing this filly. Beaten by gate 7 last start in an APG heat as JASPER arrived, she can be thereabouts in this.

MAGICOL IDEAL (7) settled back in the pack from the 2nd line last time out headquarters over the 2138m as the star MANILA PLAYBOY landed the prize. Given a tough run the start prior, he has claims in this.

SELECTIONS: SCHEU CREEK (1), ARTISTIC SAINT (6), OUR BELLA LUCIA (3), MAGICOL IDEAL (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-6-7

RACE EIGHT

ROCKNROLL DUDE (1)
was last seen when tackling a qualifier from the 2nd line over the mile. Settling in the running line, it was a tidy effort as HARPS was able to take them all the way. Not much went right at his previous 2 when striking trouble in each and with the gate and speed to capitalise here looks tough to stop.

GOTTA MOMENT (6) has a perfect record here at this track winning both times he has stepped out on this surface. Fading last start in a much stronger contest than he faces here after setting the speed, he will be pegged away in the run here but can be an improver if the gaps open in time.

ISLAS JOY (2) fired off the arm last start from the three-hole at Redcliffe and from the front was never in danger, running a strong 1780m in putting them away by over 17m in slick time. He can take an early shot here to feature.

IDEAL SITUATION (7) takes his 1st look at this track but has been going well without making a threat to win of late. Backing up from a sound effort on Thursday at Redcliffe, he is a podium chance here.

SELECTIONS: ROCKNROLL DUDE (1), GOTTA MOMENT (6), ISLAS JOY (2), IDEAL SITUATION (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCKNROLL DUDE (1) to win
