RACE TWO

GINATIANO (5) featured in a stable switch during a spell and will be further tightened following 2 runs back from a spell.  1st up over the AP mile, she was not too far from the winner LOVE YOUR WORK. Snagged back to find position as ITZ MAJOR RICH dictated last start, she should appreciate this class of contest.

ARTISTIC SAINT (6)
was a winner over the 2040m trip 4 runs back when capitalising on gate 1 and leading them throughout. Not much has really gone his way in 3 starts since, the latest when he struck some trouble from inside the 2nd line. The gate is not ideal, but he can challenge in this.

BEE GEES BEST (2) faded last start to be near the rear which had followed a fade out after doing some work in the run. If he can limit the work in transit, he has podium claims from this alley.

CHILI ROCKS (9) has the tricky gate to overcome but with the right tempo can be making a late play. JUSTA LITTLE BIT was too sharp for her last start but with a cart into this she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: GINATIANO (5), ARTISTIC SAINT (6), BEE GEES BEST (2), CHILI ROCKS (9)
SUGGESTED BET: GINATIANO (5) to win

RACE THREE

SUKI DAYO (3)
should appreciate this grade of contest after tackling some stronger events in recent outings. Only 6m away from ROCKNROLL DUDE last start, she was not far away after landing the pocket trail here 3 runs back. With early hustle she looks to have found suitable conditions.

TORQUE IS MY GIRL (1) started from the 2nd line over this trip 2 starts back when finding the 1x1 trail in the run. Looming up she was within 3m of the winner JILLIBY JACKPOT and followed that when chasing behind SHES MISS DEVINE. With the options from the gate, she can challenge.

BLISSFULDAY (5) started from the 2nd line last start when settled near the rear before closing out soundly. Things did no go to plan the start prior behind VIENNA BOY and with a better than 50% top-3 strike-rate here on The Triangle can feature.

AQUA CRUISER (4) was a winner here 2 starts back from the 1x1 when over the 2040m trip. Finishing smartly to claim that event, the inside 2nd line gate saw him buried away last start. He is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: SUKI DAYO (3), TORQUE IS MY GIRL (1), BLISSFULDAY (5), AQUA CRUISER (4)
SUGGESTED BET: SUKI DAYO (3) to win

RACE FOUR

BARBOO (1)
is yet to get into the winner’s enclosure this season but he has fared well when the marbles dropped for this contest. A runner-up 2 starts back when locked away on the poles from an inside 2nd line gate over the AP mile, he has the options here and looks to get his chance to cash-in.

NON PASSARE (2) started from the 2nd line here 2 starts back when settled in the running line before making a closing play to get within a head of the winner. Firing off the arm before releasing last start, he was carted back through the pack by a tiring runner and lost all his momentum. He will throw it down here.

GWENADLION (4) was in the running line and set out to chase JAY DE BE ROLLIN last start when finishing in 3rd. Not suited from the outside gate at Marburg the start prior, she can be chiming in.

ROCKNROLL PROMISE (8) was a winner here 3 starts back when finishing over the top of them in the closing stages. It has not gone to plan at Marburg in his past 2 starts and he can bounce back here.

SELECTIONS: BARBOO (1), NON PASSARE (2), GWENADLION (4), ROCKNROLL PROMISE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-4-8

RACE FIVE

QUICK STEP (9) started from inside the 2nd line here 2 starts back and was soon angled to the running line and worked home smartly for 2nd to subsequent winner KENDYS BUTTERFLY. Locked away last time out at Marburg, she is moving closer to a breakthrough Qld win and might just have found the race here.

MOONLIGHT BUTCHER (2) was a winner here 3 starts back when swooping late from a rearward position to score a narrow victory. His next run at Marburg he was angled to the pegs and then never saw daylight as TUAKANA claimed victory. From this gate he gets his chance to make a play.

MAJOR LUCKY (4) eased from gate 5 last start to find position before closing out strongly in the latter stages to grab the silver. This looks within his reach if he can settle handy without working too hard.

JUKEBOX JET (7) will be relying on some luck at some point to find clear air but if the gaps arrive, he can be joining in. Working home nicely last start to grab the bronze behind DON HESTON, he will be probing here.

SELECTIONS: QUICK STEP (9), MOONLIGHT BUTCHER (2), MAJOR LUCKY (4), JUKEBOX JET (7)
SUGGESTED BET: QUICK STEP (9) to win

RACE SIX

This looks a tricky contest to dissect with several winning chances able to arrive dependent on how the tempo plays out. By virtue of the ace gate HARRY CROFT (1) lands the options and with those available can arrive. Beaten by the 2nd row when 3rd to MIDNIGHT QUEEN last start, he gets his chance.

MONTANA PRIDE (9) tackled a strong APG 3YO event 2 starts back when down the line as LOVE YOUR WORK took the prize. Back to Marburg grade last start, he was defeated by a 2nd line gate but was still hitting the line in smart order to grab the bronze. With even luck in transit, he looms large against this line-up.

WHATA CHALLENGE (8) used the passing lane to grab the bronze here 3 starts back after taking the pocket trail from gate 1. Burnt early last start that contributed to a tiring back-end of the race, he has podium claims in this.

WAVEDANCER (4) was hitting the line in good order here 2 starts back when 3rd to BERTILS FIREFOX after retreating in the early stages from a wide gate. Only 7m in arrears last start, he can be joining in.

SELECTIONS: HARRY CROFT (1), MONTANA PRIDE (9), WHATA CHALLENGE (8), WAVEDANCER (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

PATCHWORK JET (8)
was a winner here 3 starts back from gate 9 when saved for a closing run. Working home over the top of them, he pulled clear to claim a 7m victory. Hemmed away from the inside 2nd line at his next start, he worked home in nice order last start and with the tempo looking to suit can arrive here.

TURN TURN FLYER (2) was angled to the pegs last start for a cosy trip but faded over the latter stages. Closing out in nice style to grab the bronze at Marburg 2 starts back, his run 3 back over the AP mile had merit behind MAYWYN TROUBADOR and from the gate here gets his chance to challenge.

RITCHIE BEE (7) has hit the board in 3 of his past 5 starts, the latest here 2 runs back when closing out in nice order to be 4m in arrears of the winner. He will need a rub of the green here but will be probing.

TORQUE TO THE MAX (4) was not ideally suited from gate 1 last start but was still able to return a tidy effort when 6m from the winner. He attacked the line strongly 3 starts back and can be chiming in here.

SELECTIONS: PATCHWORK JET (8), TURN TURN FLYER (2), RITCHIE BEE (7), TORQUE TO THE MAX (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

TRACES OF TARA (4)
has great speed out of the machine and might just have found a breakthrough chance here. Gunned down in the latter stages at Marburg 2 starts back after setting the speed, she was not suited last start when sent around to the breeze from the 2nd line before fading out. If she can pinch a panel or two in front, this looks ripe for the picking.

THATS FUNNY (6) was pegged away from inside the 2nd line here 3 starts back and when finding the space grabbed the silver when 6m in arrears of the winner. Midfield last start behind CARIBBEAN ROCKET, she might need to work at some stage from this alley but can be in for the fight.

FEELING THE POWER (8) fired off the arm from gate 4 last start and had them rolling in front when only collared in the closing stages, finishing 3m from the winner. With the right trail through he can feature.

LEAPING LEO (7) will be relying on a slice of luck at some stage to see open space. 2nd line gates have made it tough at his past 2 starts and probing for an opening here can chime in if the gaps open.

SELECTIONS: TRACES OF TARA (4), THATS FUNNY (6), FEELING THE POWER (8), LEAPING LEO (7)
SUGGESTED BET: TRACES OF TARA (4) to win

RACE NINE

A wiiiiide open maiden to close the week where ONE HELLAVA PARTY (4) might be the one to secure the moment of glory. Angled to the pegs from the 2nd line last start, he was out and chasing over the closing stages to grab the bronze, hitting the board for the 1st time in his career. Only 7m in arrears the start prior, this could be the night.

REDUCED TO ASHES (5) has been showing steady improvement through his career and last start was sound to the line over the concluding stages. Given a trial at Marburg prior to this engagement where he looked sharper, he can look to make a play for supremacy.

IM A CLASSY GIRL (8) is the only runner for trainer Gail Geeson for the night and she will need to wait around for this filly’s first race appearance. By Mr Feelgood out of the mare Classiness, she is a 3YO half-sister to APACHE WHITESOX. She stays under notice.

SWEET SCOOT (3) has placed in 9 of her career starts and returns from a break here. Last seen at Marburg back in December, she can be chiming in late in this.

SELECTIONS: ONE HELLAVA PARTY (4), REDUCED TO ASHES (5), IM A CLASSY GIRL (8), SWEET SCOOT (3)
SUGGESTED BET:
