RACE ONE

REMEMBER THEM (3)
will strip fitter following 1 run back from a spell where he was drawn wide at Redcliffe. Taken back from gate 5, CONTROVERSIAL set all the pace from the front and he struggled to work into the race with a slick tempo over the 2280m. With good early speed he can look to dictate here.

WAR DAN APOLLO (1) has been freshened since he last started off the 2nd line and was well covered by the in-form WATCH PULP FICTION. That followed a 2m 3rd to MAX RICHTER when closing out strongly. His past 3 have been from tough barriers and with a cosy trip here can take the last shot.

FEEL THE COURAGE (5) is in good touch and has now been in the money at 10 of his past 12 starts. His past 2 runs have been through a Rising Stars series where he led throughout in the heat before working hard in the breeze in the final and holding on for 3rd. He is versatile and is right in this.

WRITTEN IN RED (8) has been off the 2nd line at his past 3 in succession and does get some respite here with the fence-line gate off the 2nd line. Here last week he was working home wide off the track and hit the line nicely to be 3m from the winner FLAMING HERO. He can place with the cheap run.

SELECTIONS: REMEMBER THEM (3), WAR DAN APOLLO (1), FEEL THE COURAGE (5), WRITTEN IN RED (8)
SUGGESTED BET: REMEMBER THEM (3) to win

RACE TWO

FLOYD MAYWEATHER (1) started fav from this gate 3 starts back and after getting the trail couldn’t land the knockout up the passing lane. In the heat here on Tues he started fav and couldn’t push into space when needed and finished 4.5m from the winner. With the momentum up the passing lane, he is worth another chance.

WYNBERG TERROR (12) is racing in good touch and was rewarded with his 1st Qld win in the heats here on Tues. 2 starts back he went within a nose of victory when running a slick closing panel and his win came when swooping on them late. He will need a slice of luck and the right tempo, but he can swoop home again.

COMPLY OR DIE (2) went on a 5-run place streak and then converted to a passing lane win at his 6th starts over the sprint trip after starting from inside the 2nd line. In the heat he looked gone before fighting back to finish 6m in arrears. With brilliant early speed, if he can sneak a stanza, he will have them chasing.

BLUE POINTER (7) landed successive wins from wide gates, both when working in the run. 2 starts back he took on an open Torpedo and was 10m from AMAJORJO and then in his heat was on the 2nd line when sent forward to the breeze and wasn’t far away in taking the bronze. He is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: FLOYD MAYWEATHER (1), WYNBERG TERROR (12), COMPLY OR DIE (2), BLUE POINTER (7)
SUGGESTED BET: FLOYD MAYWEATHER (1) to win

RACE THREE

ANNIKA MAGIC (3) was a winner in mares only company 4 starts back when taken back at the start and finishing strongly to arrive on the line for a head margin. Since that win her next 3 starts have all been from the 2nd line yet her performances have still been strong. With the improved gate she can arrive in time.

WITHALOTOFLUCK (8) will need to live up to his name from this gate and will be probing for runs. 3 starts back he landed a Rising Stars final from gate 7 after being taken back early and then arriving with a booming sprint to score. He was a neck from the winner last week and if can see the gaps in time will be descending.

LANCELOT BROMAC (1) keeps on keeping on and is never far from the action. 4 starts back he took on a Rising Stars heat from this gate and took the trail when finishing a 3m 3rd to POLISHED ROCKS. Luckless in the final when taken back from a wide gate, with the sweet ride here can be in the mix.

CONTROVERSIAL (7) shoots for the hat-trick after wins at Redcliffe over the 2280m where he set a strong tempo from the front and then here over the 2138m from gate 6 where he was sent forward after the dust settled and put them away in a tidy effort. The gate hurts but he is going well.

SELECTIONS: ANNIKA MAGIC (3), WITHALOTOFLUCK (8), LANCELOT BROMAC (1), CONTROVERSIAL (7)
SUGGESTED BET:  Exotics 1-3-7-8

RACE FOUR

ALWAYS MY MATE (8) will take good confidence from his maiden Qld win here last week when he worked home strongly from a wide gate and kept finding in the stretch to take the win. 3 starts back he was 2nd to BULL MARKET when having little luck in seeing space. With the cosy trip he can take the closing shot to score.

VILLAGE WITCH (1) returned a tough effort here 5 starts back and was only 4m from THE SHADY ONE who took them all the way. Her next few she had little luck from the draws and then at her most recent start was put into the race at the right time and pinched a break to score. She will be gripping to the front.

DEANO ROBYN (4) was a winner from gate 4 here 6 starts back when set alight early and finding the front then kept them running to post a comfortable 6.5m win. He has been mixing his runs between the claimers and these type of races and last week was only 3m from BETTABE PERFECT. In the mix.

LIKEALLOFUS (5) made the most of an improved draw here 2 starts back and took them all the way to score a strong win over the 2138m trip. Back to a tough gate last start, he started from gate 7 and struggled to make ground from the back behind the talented ANYCHANCE. He is better suited here.

SELECTIONS: ALWAYS MY MATE (8), VILLAGE WITCH (1), DEANO ROBYN (4), LIKEALLOFUS (5)
SUGGESTED BET: ALWAYS MY MATE (8) to win

RACE FIVE

THE PACMAN (8) started from this gate in the Rising Stars final 3 starts back and found the tempo a touch too strong in finishing 9m from the winner. His past 2 starts have been better than his returns suggest and following the pace will find this race more to his liking and can take the closing shot.

MAYWYNS BEST (1) will strip fitter for his latest start which was his 1st outing since Feb. Starting from the 2nd line he found running line cover and ran an encouraging effort 1st up to be 12m from the flying ANYCHANCE. He has good early speed and from the ace gate can look to take them all the way and will be gripping on.

MONARKMAC (5) started in red figures when finishing with the silver 5 starts back and was sent for a spell after 1 more start behind the smart CHANTREY. He was 3rd up at Redcliffe on Wed night and was able to turn around a 10 run winless streak with an all the way victory, running a smart closing 800m. A repeat of that effort will see him go close.

CHAL FIRE (6) has returned from a spell in good order and has landed the bronze in 2 runs back. Last start in a similar type race he worked to the front from gate 2 over the 2138m trip but couldn’t see it out when 4m from the winner. The gate hurts but with further fitness can podium.

SELECTIONS: THE PACMAN (8), MAYWYNS BEST (1), MONARKMAC (5), CHAL FIRE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: THE PACMAN (8) to win

RACE SIX

WITH AUTHORITY (6) started from this alley in a Rising Stars heat 2 starts back and arrived in time in a strong finish to claim victory. In the final he worked forward early before receiving running line cover and took the bronze when 6m from CHAPTER ONE. He is racing in good touch and can overcome the gate.

NUI TOC TIEN (3) completed a hat-trick of Redcliffe victories last start when leading all the way from gate 1 and setting a good rate over the 2040m. His previous 2 wins were from 2nd line draws and from this gate he can have an early shot and will be right in the thick of the action.

LIVING GRAND (1) lands his best gate for some time and will be looking to make the most of the advantage. 2 starts back he worked home strongly from the 2nd line to take the bronze behind MAKE A STATEMENT and followed that with a 2nd to the tear-away winner SPORTS CHATON. He is up to this.

CASINO TOMMY (8) will be sweating on LIVING GRAND looking to lead throughout and if that scenario eventuates, his stocks will rise. Last start he was sent forward from a 2nd line gate and worked in the breeze and dug in for the fight to be 3m from ALWAYS MY MATE. In the mix.

SELECTIONS:  WITH AUTHORITY (6), NUI TOC TIEN (3), LIVING GRAND (1), CASINO TOMMY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: WITH AUTHORITY (6) to win

RACE SEVEN

ONLY IN ROME (3) was a beaten fav 3 starts back after working in the run and was 7m from the winner. Given a freshen he was luckless on returning and then found his race here on Tues when able to use the passing lane and run home a nice closing panel. He looks well suited again and can go back-to-back.

PROJECTILE (1) led them up at Redcliffe 2 starts back and set a good tempo when over-run by NUI TOC TIEN and was able to hold on for the bronze. Buried away last start he again finished 3rd behind the tear-away winner MAGNUSSEN. With options from the gate he will be right in the fight.

DOMESTIC ART (8) found his race last start and from gate 3 pounced on the lead and took them all the way to score. He had been doing well without a great deal of luck leading in to that win and from this gate will secure a cosy trip and with the economical run can find the podium.

JAKES A JOY (4) added another minor to his record on Wed night and has now been in the top 3 at 7 of 10 starts this season. Working hard in the run on after being sent forward from gate 4 he battled away to be 2m from the winner, the in-form TOP FLIGHT CRUIZE. In an open contest he can place.

SELECTIONS: ONLY IN ROME (3), PROJECTILE (1), DOMESTIC ART (8), JAKES A JOY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: ONLY IN ROME (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

WIN OR DIE (3) was a Redcliffe winner when leading throughout over the 1780m 5 starts back and made it back-to-back wins when taking them all the way over the 2040m. His past 3 starts have been in qualifiers with the last 2 when unsuited from 2nd line draws. He can take the early shot to force the issue and dictate terms.

HARD TO HEAR (1) started from this gate 3 runs back when releasing the front and then finished mid-field when 10m from the winner ZARAS DELIGHT. Too far back to issue a challenge last start, he will get a good trip here and will be looking to make a closing play.

CROWNING GLORY (8) started fav and looked to have the race in the bag 3 starts back before he was grabbed up the passing lane. Luckless at his next start he went around on Thurs at Redcliffe. He will need some favours in the run here, but with a rub of the green he will be right in the mix.

YANKEE STRUTTER (2) started off the 2nd line here 2 starts back and after receiving running line cover worked home to grab the silver behind ROCKNROLLHIGHLIGHT.  He took on a Torpedo on Tues and was chasing all the way. He can take an early shot and can feature in this type of race.

SELECTIONS: WIN OR DIE (3), HARD TO HEAR (1), CROWNING GLORY (8), YANKEE STRUTTER (2)
SUGGESTED BET: WIN OR DIE (3) to win

RACE NINE

GLENFERRIE HOOD (5) has been back to the track twice since returning from a spell and has been the runner-up on both occasions. His 1st up run was a strong effort when forced to do the work and grabbed on the line to be a half-neck from the in-form WATCH PULP FICTION. His run last start from the 2nd line was strong and he can take this.

ULTIMATE ART (7) returns from a spell following a top-two finish at each of his 4 starts since returning to Qld. At his last run before going for a break he was within a half-head of AVONNOVA. The wide gate hurts his chances but he is a quality campaigner and can’t be denied.

OUR HI JINX (1) has worked his way back into form and was able to go back-to-back and then followed that with a sub-par effort after finding his way too far back. Last start he was again a long way back in the pack and found the line strongly to finish 2m from FLAMING HERO running some strong closing panels.

IDEAL SCOTT (4) had been working up to a win with some solid performances and was able to put it all together last start when sent forward to find the front from gate 7 and take them all the way. He can take the early shot here and get forward and will be right in the mix.

SELECTIONS: GLENFERRIE HOOD (5), ULTIMATE ART (7), OUR HI JINX (1), IDEAL SCOTT (4)
SUGGESTED BET: GLENFERRIE HOOD (5) to win

RACE TEN

FIREBBY (10) will benefit from her run last week off this same gate when resuming from a let-up. Settling in the running line she closed out the race in good order to be 2m from the winner. She had been in the money at her 5 previous starts and she will be right in the mix here.

GOTTA GLOW (5) makes her Qld debut after being claimed out of an event at Penrith at her last start. Following a tough run in that race she proved too strong in recording a 3m victory. If she can bring the same form to Qld, she can make an impact at her 1st outing.

IOWNATURBO (12) has placed at her past 2 starts including a 3rd in the mares race last week. Starting from this same gate she was hitting the line hard and went within 1.5m of the winner. That followed a tough run at Redcliffe and with a strong tempo she can swoop late to score. Follow.

HAVETOGETAWAYMORE (8) made a winning return following a spell when using the passing lane to arrive for the prize at Redcliffe. She is effective when saved for one sharp inside sprint and even if shuffled to 3 back here, she can still show a clean pair of plates and find the podium.

SELECTIONS: FIREBBY (10), GOTTA GLOW (5), IOWNATURBO (12), HAVETOGETAWAYMORE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: FIREBBY (10) to win
