RACE TWO

ELENIARK (5) will strip fitter from her return to the track when finding a mid-week conditioned race to kick-off her 5YO season. Settling at the rear she cruised past in good order to land a nice return win. A tidy effort behind Inter-Dom bound OUR UNCLE SAM 2 starts back she can arrive for the prize.

TOP TRIO (1) has been runner-up in 3 of his past 4 starts following an all the way Redcliffe victory 5 starts back. Pressing on to the front after a mid-race scrimmage last start he was best of the rest behind FRANCO TOTEM. With the options from the gate he will be right in the fight.

ANOTHER BROADWAY (3) wasn’t suited off the 2nd line last start and buried in the run faced a forlorn task with NONE BETTOR controlling from the front. He took them all the way 2 starts back and can look to fire the 1st shot here.

LIVING AGAIN (2) was strong from the breeze last start when fighting for the bronze behind LILAC FLASH. A Menangle M0 winner 3 starts back he won’t be too far away here.

SELECTIONS: ELENIARK (5), TOP TRIO (1), ANOTHER BROADWAY (3), LIVING AGAIN (2)
SUGGESTED BET: ELENIARK (5) to win

RACE THREE

FRANKIE ROCKS (4) had been building towards a win after 4 successive placed performances, the last 3 of those when never further than 1.5m from the winner on each occasion. Holding the pocket trail last start he took the passing lane to cash-in for the win. From the front line he looks hard to stop.

BODHI TREE (3) was hitting the line strongly down the outside last start when beaten 3m behind FRANKIE ROCKS. Placed in his previous 3 including a half-neck to MATCH POINT and a half-neck to OHOKA PUNTER, he will be right in the thick of the action here.
MATCH POINT (6) was snagged down to the pegs from gate 5 over the 1780m trip last start and with all the favours found space and sprinted hard to score. Unplaced in 2 previous AP runs, he can look to change that in this.

THE SPACE INVADER (1) has placed in 3 of 5 starts since returning from a spell and from this gate should get the perfect trip. Finding the line nicely last start when 4m from LILAC FLASH he can place.

SELECTIONS: FRANKIE ROCKS (4), BODHI TREE (3), MATCH POINT (6), THE SPACE INVADER (1)
SUGGESTED BET: FRANKIE ROCKS (4) to win

RACE FOUR

ALWAYS MY MATE (6)
was a Redcliffe winner 5 starts back when finding running line cover and then finishing over the top to claim a 2nd division band 5 event. With no barrier favours since that win, his efforts have been solid and with the return to the 1000m track in his favour, he can look to capitalise.

FIOKI (10) went back from gate 6 to the pegs in a small field on Tues and after securing the cosy trip, sprinted hard and fast to arrive for a 1780m victory. His run from the 2nd line 2 starts back was strong when within 3m of the winner ANNA BAL AL and despite a tricky gate will swoop hard.

ROCKING (8) settled in the pocket trail on Tues from inside the 2nd line and was held up behind a tiring leader. Squeezing away she nearly got there to score when claiming 2nd. With better luck she can go close.

DAYS END (3) sat behind the leader when 3m from THE DEMOCRAT at Newcastle 2 starts back and followed that with a late closing 4th over the 2550m trip. With a Tamworth run on Thurs on the way to this, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: ALWAYS MY MATE (6), FIOKI (10), ROCKING (8), DAYS END (3)
SUGGESTED BET: ALWAYS MY MATE (6) to win

RACE FIVE

LILAC FLASH (7) has been in white-hot form and will look to make it 9 successive wins in this. A winner of 4 of his past 5 when starting from gate 6 at Redcliffe, his closing acceleration is brutal which gives him the luxury of floating back here to find position. This is another step up but he is answering everything that has been asked thus far.

CHAPTER ONE (1) started from gate 5 over the sprint trip 2 starts back and was sent forward and burnt early before holding on for 2nd to LILAC FLASH. Last start from inside the 2nd line he used the passing lane to share the bronze behind MATCH POINT. With early speed he will be gripping on.

REMEMBER THEM (8) was buried away in the run last start after snagging back from gate 6 to find position and was never in the mix. With the cosy trail from the ace he won’t be too far away.

GANGSTER BOY (6) returns from a 2 starts Menangle trip where started from wide gates in each and acquitted himself in good order. Sent forward to attack he will be right in the fight in this.

SELECTIONS: LILAC FLASH (7), CHAPTER ONE (1), REMEMBER THEM (8), GANGSTER BOY (6)
SUGGESTED BET: LILAC FLASH (7) to win

RACE SIX

MY ULTIMATE FELLA (8)
did plenty of work in the run over the 1780m trip 2 starts back when getting within a half-neck of the winner. Last start he put the heat in the run from gate 3 and controlled the race from the breeze to score. He will need some factors to work in his favour but is worth a chance.

DANCE FOR GLORY (7) was a good winner at Blayney last start when sent forward from the 2nd line to get to the front and claim the 2400m Billy Soo Memorial. That followed a solid effort from gate 10 at Penrith behind JONAH JONES. With even luck in transit he can look to lay down the right moves.

KOTARE KASAI (1) held the pegs from gate 1 over the 1780m trip 2 starts back and leading them deep into the stretch went down by a neck. Her run on Wed night was solid and with the inside line will be gripping on.

MARETTI (10) will strip fitter from his latest outing when resuming from a spell. Facing the breeze off gate 4 he worked hard when only beaten 1.5m and back to AP will put himself in the mix.

SELECTIONS: MY ULTIMATE FELLA (8), DANCE FOR GLORY (7), KOTARE KASAI (1), MARETTI (10)
SUGGESTED BET: MY ULTIMATE FELLA (8) to win

RACE SEVEN

OPONONIS BLISS (1) returns from a 2 starts Menangle campaign where she finished 3rd on both occasions. Sent to the front from gate 8 last start she set a solid tempo when grabbed in the closing stages to be 4.5m from the winner. With the early options she looks to get every chance.

RED CHARMER (10) is 1st up since the 3YO fillies Breeders Crown Final and has not been seen in an official trial. Gunned down here 4 starts back by LILAC FLASH who has since progressed strongly, she was beaten by a wide gate and some very smart fillies last start. Back to AP she is in the mix.

ARK TEAMO (2) pressed to the front at Redcliffe last start and once in control packed too many guns to score a comfortable 5m victory. Settling handy here she can look to chime in late.

LAUGHING EMOJI (9) found the position behind the leader last start at Menangle through an early burn and then finished hard to score a solid win. Trailing through early she can challenge.

SELECTIONS: OPONONIS BLISS (1), RED CHARMER (10), ARK TEAMO (2), LAUGHING EMOJI (9)
SUGGESTED BET: OPONONIS BLISS (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

SHARDS HALO (8)
is knocking on the door after 3 top runs in Qld. Her closing sectionals were brilliant 3 starts back behind MR KALYPSO and last start she struck trouble early. Making up a stack of ground she grabbed the silver in a superb run. With a rub of the green from this alley she can power over the top.

PARISIAN ROCKSTAR (1) was buried in the run last start from the 2nd line and chased home strongly to be 10m from the winner MY ULTIMATE FELLA. He should take benefit from that run after being freshened from his previous outing and hustling early to protect the pegs can look to dictate.

EVERYTHING (7) has no favours from this gate but he is in good touch and if able to limit the burn in getting into the contest can challenge. His closing splits last start at Redcliffe were off the charts and it will pay to follow.

TED WEST (2) landed gate 1 last start and tried to take them all the way but was worried out of the contest by MY UTLIMATE FELLA to finish a 4m 2nd. Only beaten a nose 3 starts back he has claims.

SELECTIONS: SHARDS HALO (8), PARISIAN ROCKSTAR (1), EVERYTHING (7), TED WEST (2)
SUGGESTED BET: SHARDS HALO (8) to win

RACE NINE

COLT THIRTY ONE (9)
returns to start his 4YO term and comes into this without the benefit of an official trial. Last seen when finishing runner-up to RIDE HIGH in the Breeders Crown 3YO Final, the reigning Qld Horse Of The Year can look to start his season in winning form.

OUR MAJOR DAY (4) was strong from the breeze at Armidale 2 starts back and packed too many guns to score victory by a half-head. Starting fav from gate 5 in a qualifier last start he went down swinging after doing all the work to be a head away. He can look to get forward to run the quinella.

MIGHT AND MAIN (1) had a shot for the lead last start but after being unable to cross was left to work in the run and fought hard to be 1.5m from the winner. With a cosy trip here she can place.

JUSTARUMOUR (8) was looking to lead all the way last start at Newcastle when grabbed on the line to be beaten a head. Beaten by a wide gate on Wed night, he can stick to the pegs which looks the place to be in this.

SELECTIONS: COLT THIRTY ONE (9), OUR MAJOR DAY (4), MIGHT AND MAIN (1), JUSTARUMOUR (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TEN

ALLELUIA (1)
speared out from gate 5 over the 2280m trip last start and tried to dictate in front at Redcliffe. Setting a strong tempo he couldn’t see it out when under 3m from the winner. Much better suited back to the 1000m oval, he looks set to get the perfect run and will be hard to stop.

OHOKA PUNTER (3) sat in the 1x1 at Redcliffe 3 starts back and with ALLELUIA carving out strong panels in front was able to finish best and break a long winless streak. Doing plenty of work from gate 6 last time out he fought on gamely for the bronze. He will need to roll the sleeves again here.

MAKO BANNER (2) has good early speed and last start was looking to take them all the way when he was grabbed up the passing lane by FRANKIE ROCKS. A 2280m winner 3 starts back he can look to drop to the pegs early and will be looking to swoop late.

SELECTIONS: ALLELUIA (1), OHOKA PUNTER (3), MAKO BANNER (2)
SUGGESTED BET: ALLELUIA (1) to win

RACE ELEVEN

OUR OVERANOVA (7)
overcame the 50m back-mark last start over the 2280m trip when finishing strongly to score. That saw him back in winning form following a 3rd the start prior which came off 3 successive victories. With a near faultless record at the AP mobile start, he can add another win.

SPUD (8) returns from a spell after a tough run last start in the breeze where he fought hard but just faded in the closing stages. A strong winner over the mobile mile here 2 starts back from this same gate, he opened the pipes with a tidy trial and will be probing for the gaps to find clear space.

IONA GRINNER (6) arrives from Sydney to target the upcoming Summer features and arrives a last start 2300m Menangle winner. A three-time winner here at AP she will be right in the fight.

MIRACLE RISING (4) stepped cleanly to take them all the way over the 2613m trip 2 starts back and then last start worked hard in the breeze. Not overly proficient from the mobile thus far, he has place claims.

SELECTIONS: OUR OVERANOVA (7), SPUD (8), IONA GRINNER (6), MIRACLE RISING (4)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR OVERANOVA (7) to win
