The Capalaba Greyhound Racing Club will hold its first TAB meeting on Sunday 9 December 2018.
The elevation to TAB status is permanent with the Club scheduled to hold 52 meetings a year.
Capalaba will race on Sunday morning and will be broadcast on Sky Racing alongside Australia’s only other straight track Healesville in Victoria.
Class 5 prizemoney has been increased to $1575 for Maiden/Graded races ($1050 to the winner), and $1840 for Best 8/Open races ($1225 to the winner).
For the first TAB meeting, Racing Queensland will allocate $10,000 in prizemoney for a new race called the TAB Anniversary Cup for the Best 8 greyhounds nominated. Preference will be given to greyhounds that have had at least one race start at Capalaba.

- Tommy Hoyland Memorial 5th Grade Heats 366m
- Maiden Heats 366m
- Novice 366m
- Masters 5th Grade 366m
- Graded races as required
Nominations close on Thursday morning at 9.30am.
Scratchings close on Saturday morning at 8.30am.
The first race is scheduled for 10.05am QLD time.
Kenneling will open at 8.35am and close at 9.20am.
