Trainer - Kelly Schweida

"On paper tempo was always going to be the issue, but the scratchings probably helped us being only a few lengths off and ripping home the last 600 in 33.8."

"Steph rode him a treat she got the back of Sir Barnabus who we thought was the horse to beat and gave him every chance to peal off his back."

"The owners have been really patient since he came over from Singapore, his form over the last twelve months has been pretty average honestly, but this time in he's a different horse and the owners are being rewarded."

"He's has three of four runs quickly so we'l give him a wekk off on the water walker and look for an 1800-2000 metre race in a couple of weeks."

Jockey - Steph Thornton

"The speed was always going to be the concern he's a backmarker and thankfully the small field saved us we weren't too far off them and he travelled beautifully."

"I had hit up underneath me coming to the six hundred and got a beautiful run on the back of Sir Barnabus and we let down a little better."

Trainer - Robert Heathcote

"He's a special little horse and it's good to have the whole ownership group here today, the horse didn't cost a whole lot and it's giving them a huge thrill, I think we might have a nice one."

"Jimmy (Byrne) said to me that it had been a long time since he'd ridden a two-year-old so calm cool and relaxed, two weeks ago when we had to get back the the stalls three times he didn't bat an eyelid."

"He hasn't missed a beat at home during the week and he carried the weight today and when Jimmy (Byrne) hit the go button he went bang."

"He's not Magic Millions I bought him privately, He's obviously Stakes class so I'll pick my mark around the summer carnival there.'

Jockey - Jim Byrne

"I've got to see I think he's improved again off his first start, he's never tasted defeat whether it be in a trial or race day and he kept that well and truly in tact today."

"He did want to race a little bit with the other horse early, but backed off and was happy to sit second and was way to good."

"The most impressive thing about him is his versatility you don't have to lead with him, he's got a beautiful disposition and looks like he could be something special."

"He doesn't feel like a baby he feels like a five-year-old."

Trainer - Tony Gollan

"We took the tongue tie off him a few starts ago and ever since he's been exploding out of the gates."

"You probably saw at Doomben the other day his career best win and I think he's one upped himself today I was really pleased with his progression towards the summer carnival."

"There were times earlier in his career he wasn't really furnished and thought he was going to run 1400, but now we know to keep him nice and fresh over the sprint where his record is very good."

"I'm looking forward to heading to Caloundra for the $100,000 dollar race in a fortnight's time I think he can go really close as well."

Jockey - Baylee Nothdurft

"It's been a pleasant surprise (barrier speed), he wasn't doing it last prep and all of a sudden he;s coming out like a rocket, Tony 9Gollan has definitely pulled the right reign on him."

"He travelled sweet he's a horse with a high cruising speed and will be perfectly suited to the 100 metres at Caloundra."

Trainer - Tony Gollan

"They probably didn't go as fast as I expected early, he fell out of the gates as well but the plan was to get to the outside and get there late and Baylee (Nothdurft) executed perfectly."

"I really thought he was going to win first up this horse, we gave him a little freshen up and a trial and it's done the trick he was really really strong late today."

"He's a real thousand metro horse love good ground, he's got an impecable record over the distance and is a fantastic little money spinner for connections."

Jockey - Baylee Nothdurft

"We were a little but lucky in the run he missed the kick which put us on the back foot, but things didn't turn out too bad."

"I thought they'd go a lot quicker but I thought it helped this bloke I just had to time in right when to ask him for an effort."

enterprise-louise2.jpeg

Trainer - Michael Lakey

"It was a lovely win, but I think she's got plenty of progression left, her Winter coat hasn't completely let go yet we're looking forward for what's to come."

"Brad (Stewart) rode her in a jumpout on Tuesday and gave us the thumbs up she was ready to go, he's a good judge."

"She did wobble a little bit up the straight, but I think Brad (Stewart) might have been trying to ease her out to the better ground four or five off."

Jockey - Brad Stewart

"She's a nice little mare there's not a lot of her but I've always had an opinion of her but thought she would always come into her own this prep and she's started on the right foot."

"The first time I gave her a tap she wanted to get out, she probably would have won a bit easier than that but she got the job done anyway."

Stewards Comments - 2nd vs 1st protest - Dismissed

"We believe Sukwhinder shifts in marginally before straightening when Enterprise Louise shifts in causing both horses to become unbalanced."

"From that point onwards to the winning posts we've taken into account the way the race was finished and the margin at a long neck and stewards can't be confident that the interference that occurred cost the second horse the race."

oddyssey.jpeg

Trainer - Kelly Schweida

"He's taken a bit of time, it's well documented he raced pretty solidly through August last year right through until March."

"He needed a big break so we gave him six months and being a colt he can eat a bit and got away from us a bit and it's just taken that few runs to get him to where he was today."

"I feel for Jimmy Orman who rides him usually but i think even he admitted we had to think about getting a top apprentice on like Steph (Thornton) with the claim."

"We'll go to Caloundra in two weeks time for a 1000 metre QTIS race and pick out spots from there."

Jockey - Steph Thornton

"He was happy today as soon as he set foot on the track he knew what he was there for and showed them what he was capable of."

"It worked out well we wanted to cross the horses on our inside, I thought there might be a little bit more pace outside me early but when he landed in front and travelled the way he did he was going to be very hard to run down."

Trainer - Gregory Booth

"A good mate of mine Les Kelly told me this horse was crying out for the mile, so I took that advice and I'll be going back to him for more next time."

"I love my horses, but this one will always have a special place in my heart giving myself and the connections our first city winner it's a great feeling."

"He's a very honest horse we've just missed out a couple of times this preparation at Ipswich and I thought he'd be close to a spell, but gee I'm glad i left him in."

Jockey - Sean Cormack

"I just had to keep River Flyer in my sights, we had a really good run with a bit of cover and it was always going to work out nicely that I could pick and choose when to go."

"i was a bit concerned with the weight so I got him going a long way out, but always thought I was going to get there."

"He's run really well when I've ridden him this horse I wouldn't say he's been unlucky because he's run well, today was his day and i couldn't be happier for Greg (Booth) and the owners."

valario2.jpeg

Trainer - Natalie McCall

"He had no luck the other day and probably in stronger class, he got a nice soft run in transit today and even though he was held up was bursting for a run the whole straight.""Ron (Stewart) has been riding this horse for a while and he's always been a big advocate for him and I think he's a pretty good judge."

"He's a winner he's a very competitive horse even in his trials he'll never just cruise along he wants to be in front, but it's a nice trait to have."

"He'll run at home over 1400 in a fortnight and we'll see how he measures up there, our main target is probably the Four-Year-Old Gateway race over the summer."

Jockey - Ron Stewart

"I was in a really nice spot early, a couple corssed us which made it a little awkward to find him in a run in the straight but he had plenty left in the tank."

"He could have thrown it in when a few gaps closed but he just kept surging, the best horse won the race."

"I've really liked the horse all the way through I've always ridden him and I loved the way he burst through to win today."

Trainer - Matthew Dunn

"He's taken a while to find his groove this preparation but he loves this trip and was very well ridden by Steph (Thornton) out in front there she's got some talent that girl."

"The horse came back to her well which shows signs of maturity and lets us know we can ride him forward in the future."

"He can possibly go further than the 1400, if he can set up a lead like that and give a good kick off the corner who knows how far he came get."

Jockey - Steph Thornton

"I took my time getting down across the field but when I got to the top he came back under me beautifully and had a great time out in front and really let go in the straight."

"I don't think a longer trip would be out of reach at all he was going as good as ever through the line and could definitely cover more ground."

deep-image.jpeg

Trainer - Robert Heathcote

"I thought we'd have a good day and we've finished off on the right note with Deep Image and Cool Chap who ran a nice race in third as well."

"The win sets him up for a nice Summer Carnival he was desperately unlucky two weeks ago and he got things his way today."

"The track has played a bit toward the front runners today and from barrier sixteen I thought it might just give him a bigger price."

"It's a great start here the 1400 metres Robbie (Fradd) did a great job cruising across without spending any petrol."

"He'll go on to a listed race over 1350 at Doomben in three weeks time."

Jockey - Robbie Fradd

"He's lost a little bit of his gate speed, but I think that's because he's so calm and relaxed."

"He's ready for listed class everything he showed me today points towards a good result."
