RACE TWO

HUNTER RED (2) will be tightened from his last outing when 1st up since February. Trialled back on October 7, he was then 1st up in the Non-TAB event on Nov 3 when hitting the line in good order from a 2nd line gate to be within a half-head of the winner. With the good gate, he can look to capitalise.

HIGH ON MONTANA (5) is never far from the action and last start was closing in good order over the 2138m to grab the bronze behind the winner MOYU AMETHYST. Striking trouble here 2 starts back that ended his chances, he has no favours from the gate but with even luck in transit can challenge.

PETITE PAREE (6) was 2nd up in Qld last start when tackling the mile at The Creek. From back in the pack she attacked the line with gusto to arrive for a new career PB. The gate stings here but the last start win was strong.

PRINCE JOY (7) did not have the smoothest passage last start when not that far from the winner PETITE PAREE. Tough from the chair the start prior in holding on for the bronze, he will be probing for the openings here.

SELECTIONS: HUNTER RED (2), HIGH ON MONTANA (5), PETITE PAREE (6), PRINCE JOY (7)
SUGGESTED BET: HUNTER RED (2) to win

RACE THREE

ADRENALINE RUSH (1) started from inside the 2nd line last start when taking on a non-TAB event and after the easy trail was mid-field behind the winner DEVOUGED. Grabbed in the last strides when leading them up here 2 starts back as GOTTA MOMENT arrived, she has all the options from the ace.

LETTERKENNY BOY (5) will take good benefit from his last outing when returning from a spell. First up in 4 months without a preparatory trial, he closed in good order for the bronze behind LITTLE CHANGE. Hitting the board in 9 of his 11 outings on the track, he can throw it down here.

BURMACH (3) had a look at Marburg last start over the 2200m but with no lead on offer was obliged to race tough thereafter. Fading late in a track record run by the winner, he can be thereabouts in this.

NO CONFESSION (7) returns from a spell tackling The Triangle where he has a tidy record that includes 7 wins. Charging home last start before the break, the soft trip suits fresh up.

SELECTIONS: ADRENALINE RUSH (1), LETTERKENNY BOY (5), BURMACH (3), NO CONFESSION (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-5-7

RACE FOUR

DOWNTOWN LUCCA (3) started from the 2nd line last start and did not have the cleanest passage when only 4.5m from the winner PLAYING ARKABELLA. Racing tough the start prior when only 2m in arrears of the winner, he can fire some early bullets here and looks to have found his chance to capitalise.

ROCK THE HOUSE (4) settled back in the pack from the 2nd line here 2 starts back when making a sweeping run to arrive for the prize. That form has been franked with 2nd placed HOLLIE and 3rd placed ARMA AUGUSTUS both subsequent winners. Finding a handy spot can see him challenge.

WAVEDANCER (1) closed soundly here 2 starts back when only 6m from the winner BEEF CITY STARZZZ. There were maybe some excuses last start and with the inside gate he can chime in.

BARONE (5) was the best of the chasers last start behind the in-form BLISSFULDAY after starting from the 2nd line. Fitter again after 3 runs back from a break, he can be looking to chime in.

SELECTIONS: DOWNTOWN LUCCA (3), ROCK THE HOUSE (4), WAVEDANCER (1), BARONE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: DOWNTOWN LUCCA (3) to win

RACE FIVE

PLAYING ARKABELLA (7)
was 2nd up from a spell in her 2nd run for Mal Charlton when securing the pocket trail from gate 1 here on Wed night. After the easy trip, she had bullets to fire in the stretch to power home to the prize. Fitter for the run, with a similar trip she can arrive once again.

CANNAN (3) was a Marburg winner 4 starts back when securing a cosy trip and them finding an opening to sprint over the top to score. Placed at his next 3 in succession, the latest here on Wednesday when wide for a long way after snagging back before working forward. From the gate he can challenge.

MANOFLISA (1) did not have much go his way here last tome out and was forced to retreat from a wide gate and his chances expired. Grabbed late when leading 2 starts back, he will be gripping on.

BARBOO (4) held the 1x1 trail last start when chasing home for the bronze behind NEWMERELLA MOLLY. Positioning cheaply will be key to his chances of finishing in the money.

SELECTIONS: PLAYING ARKABELLA (7), CANNAN (3), MANOFLISA (1), BARBOO (4)
SUGGESTED BET: PLAYING ARKABELLA (7) to win

RACE SIX

OUR ULTIMATE HANNA (1) will take great benefit from her return to the track last start when 1st up since May. Sent around the field in the early stages from the 2nd line, she worked to the front and was fighting when 5m in arrears of the winner. With the gate advantage, she gets every chance.

VOODOO FELLA (4) shoots for the hat-trick after backing up his Marburg victory with a win here on Wednesday night. Doing his share of early work, cover arrived before he was shown open road and cruised home to a 10m victory. The gate stings but this is no harder as he chases the three-peat.

ABERCROMBIE TAB (5) has been runner-up his past 3 in succession, the latest when holding on behind VOODOO FELLA. Forced to work tough in the breeze his past 4, he looks set to grind again.

MAYWYN TROUBADOR (7) earns a return to the main draw after facing barrier issues for much of his career to date. This will be a shade easier than his last start and he cannot be ruled out.

SELECTIONS: OUR ULTIMATE HANNA (1), VOODOO FELLA (4), ABERCROMBIE TAB (5), MAYWYN TROUBADOR (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

MY ULTIMATE LOUIE (8) resumes from a spell and will step out for Donny Smith for the 1st time under race conditions. Mid-field last start over the AP mile when prepared by Jarrod Alchin in much stronger company than he faces here, he has looked sharp in a pair of trials here on The Triangle and can return in style.

BEE GEES BEST (7) will be query from inside the 2nd line as he has plenty to learn about the racing game. Having a good look around and racing greenly, he was knuckling down for the fight last start when only a neck from the winner. Beaten by his tractability 2 starts back, he is a risk but has the ability.

BAZIL BOY (1) is a 4YO Mr Feelgood gelding on debut for David Millard. Trialling soundly when tapped up to keep his focus, he will take good experience from his debut outing.

QUALITY TIME (4) was wide for a long way last start at Marburg when trying to secure position and finished down the line. If able to get across cheaply here, a podium result would be attainable.

SELECTIONS: MY ULTIMATE LOUIE (8), BEE GEES BEST (7), BAZIL BOY (1), QUALITY TIME (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MY ULTIMATE LOUIE (8) to win

RACE EIGHT

GRETELS GIRL (6) comes up with the wide alley but her 2 runs since returning from a break for the Ron Wells barn have been full of merit. Closing in nice order when runner-up to ARCHILLES 1st up, she followed that with a half-head 2nd when grabbed in the closing strides. The gate impediment can be overcome in this line-up.

LEAPING LEO (5) should appreciate this level of opponent after meeting stronger types in recent outings. Put a line through his last start as a forgive effort when he was never a factor and look to his run 2 starts back when 4m from ARCHILLES and GRETELS GIRL. With even luck he can challenge.

REGALIA (7) will strip fitter from his latest offering when 1st up in over 14 months. Not looking entirely comfortable at the return, he will have an economical trip and can look to join in.

TUESDAYS COURAGE (8) eased from gate 6 last start to find position and returned a sound performance when 7m in arrears of HANOVER LECTER. Holding on for 3rd here 3 starts back, she has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: GRETELS GIRL (6), LEAPING LEO (5), REGALIA (7), TUESDAYS COURAGE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: GRETELS GIRL (6) to win

RACE NINE

CHANG (7) will be requiring some factors in his favour but if they line-up he can be ready to make the closing shot a wining one. Wide off the track last start at Marburg, it followed a sound effort here when trying to make ground wide out. With the soft trip he might just pinch this.

LITTLEDEE (3) was locked away against the markers last time out at Marburg when finishing mid-field to CLARES FOOL. In for the fight after racing tough from the breeze 2 starts back when 10m from LAZY BLAZE, she can be thereabouts in this line-up.

OUR MASQUERADE (1) released after leading early last time out and couldn’t go on with it when the pace went on. Slowly getting near full fitness following 4 runs after a long lay-off, the gate helps.

DAVEY MAC (6) is a trotter taking on the pacers and may just appreciate the mobile start. Making errors in both starts since arriving in Qld, he has the wide gate but can chime in.

SELECTIONS: CHANG (7), LITTLEDEE (3), OUR MASQUERADE (1), DAVEY MAC (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TEN

CLARES FOOL (8) has no favours from the 2nd line but what the draw takes away, the fact that she is the only runner in any sort of form in this contest can see her home. Too strong from the breeze last start at Marburg, it followed a 1st up 2nd also at Marburg. Fitter again, she looks the one to beat.

BAMBOLE NERE (6) started from the 2nd line last tie out at Marburg when trying to work into the contest in the closing stages to grab 3rd behind CLARES FOOL. Finishing nicely from a long way back here 3 starts back, she looks best placed of the rest to issue a challenge.

FEELING THE POWER (5) resumes from a spell after finishing down the line last time out when setting the tempo. Only 8m away here 3 starts back, he finds a suitable target 1st up to feature.

THE LAST STARFIRE (2) was down the line last start from a 2nd line gate after settling in the 1x1 trail. From the gate he can fire the early shots and be clinging on to a minor.

SELECTIONS: CLARES FOOL (8), BAMBOLE NERE (6), FEELING THE POWER (5), THE LAST STARFIRE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: CLARES FOOL (8) to win
