RACE TWO

SIXPENNY RED (1) chased valiantly to hold the bronze behind the smart winner MUCH BETTOR last start. Buried 3 back on the pegs from this gate 3 starts back she didn’t see the gaps when needed and was a luckless 3rd. With a cosy trip from she will be poised and ready to take her shot.

AT RANDOM (4) took a trail from gate 1 last start and was best of the chasing pack behind MUCH BETTOR. That made it 3 successive runs where he has been the runner-up and has now place in 4 of 5 starts since winning on debut. He can chase home here and issue a challenge.

DATTITUDE (2) was a Redcliffe 2YO winner on debut in scoring a strong win in front with the form from that race holding up. Freshened since beaten a half-head 2nd up she will give them plenty to chase.

SELECTIONS: SIXPENNY RED (1), AT RANDOM (4), DATTITUDE (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

MUCH BETTOR (6) was 3rd up from a break and having his 3rd start in Aus last week when he was sent to the front. Making the most of racing his own age, when asked to let go, he quickly accelerated away from the field for a stylish win. Fitter and with the added experience he is the one.

MATT BELFORD (2) resumes from a spell after facing the starter just 4 times last campaign. Taking on a heat/final series at Redcliffe, he was a tidy all the way winner of the heat, defeating HOT DOGMA. Luckless in the final when striking trouble, he can find the right position here.

BEEF CITY BLAZE (1) was buried on the pegs here on Fri when holding his ground to the line behind NEWPORT DREAMZ. He found the line nicely at Redcliffe the start prior and has place hopes here.

IFYOUBELIEVE (3) has placed his past 2 starts with the latest when 3rd behind GOT THE GOODS. From the gate he can look to take up a prominent position and can be around the money.

SELECTIONS: MUCH BETTOR (6), MATT BELFORD (2), BEEF CITY BLAZE (1), IFYOUBELIEVE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MUCH BETTOR (6) to win

RACE FOUR

LILAC FLASH (3)
is looking for a hat-trick following victory at the mile and middle distance trips. Finding running line cover from gate 5 last start his closing panel was sizzling to reel them in and score by a nose. Showing great closing speed when saved, he will be looking to blast them away late.

THE CHARGING MOA (1) will take good benefit from her latest start when returning from a spell and a trainer change. Taken back from gate 6 there was plenty to like about how she found the line to finish 5m from the winner LILAC FLASH. With the speed to have options at the start she can feature.

SUBTLE DELIGHT (2) started from gate 5 here 2 starts back and was able to finish best to beat PACIFIC DRUMS. Fighting on from the breeze last start he can look to drop in for a cosy trip.

NONE BETTOR (7) returns from a freshen after taking on a Band 5 event last start when not having the greatest luck from gate7. A qualifying winner 2 starts back he will be thereabouts in this.

SELECTIONS: LILAC FLASH (3), THE CHARGING MOA (1), SUBTLE DELIGHT (2), NONE BETTOR (7)
SUGGESTED BET: LILAC FLASH (3) to win

RACE FIVE

MR KALYPSO (12) has returned from a long break and a stable shift in superb order and will go after the hat-trick. He put them away in fine style first-up when finishing over the top and sprinting clear to a big win and followed that with a tough win from the breeze. With added fitness he can go again.

ONE OFF (5) looks the main danger and last start completed a hat-trick of his own in impressive style. Sitting at the rear from gate 12, when he made his move he went straight past them to score a dominant victory. This is his biggest test in 3 Aus starts, but he looks up to the task.

COREY WILLIAM (2) has been slightly below his best in 2 runs back since being freshened. Not really suited when taken back last start he can look to fire the 1st shot here and can be an improver.

TUESDAYS FELLA (3) is another going after a three-peat of victories after successive wins at the mile. Freshened since his latest effort when scoring a strong win from in front, he has exotic claims here.

SELECTIONS: MR KALYPSO (12), ONE OFF (5), COREY WILLIAM (2), TUESDAYS FELLA (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MR KALYPSO (12) to win

RACE SIX

EL MAJOR (6)
took the trail from gate 2 after finding the pegs 1st over the 2138m trip here 2 starts back and was game to the line when a half-neck from the winner ROCK WITH SAM. He found the line in good order last start when 3.5m from the winner and in an open contest looks worth a chance.

DRIVE THE DREAM (7) has no luck from the car-park gate, but her latest start was a much sharper effort. Starting from the 2nd line she was closing strongly to get within a half-neck of the winner GOD SAKE. Her previous start had merit when buried in the run and with even luck in transit can feature.

CORPORAL LUNA (4) held the front early before releasing last start and holding on for the silver to MY MASTRERCRAFTSMAN. Effective late, he can find a handy position and can chime in to this.

YANKEE STRUTTER (1) hasn’t been suited his past 2 when restraining and finding himself too far back to work into the contest. With the improved gate and good early speed he can improve.

SELECTIONS: EL MAJOR (6), DRIVE THE DREAM (7), CORPORAL LUNA (4), YANKEE STRUTTER (1)
SUGGESTED BET: EL MAJOR (6) to win

RACE SEVEN

SKYFELLA CAM (1) will strip fitter from his latest outing when resuming from a spell. Only starting his career at 4YO, he was progressing well last season and was a winner 4 starts back when rolling to the front and taking control over the mile. With the speed to hold up early and the options, he can take this.

JUST SEDUCE ME (4) scored here over the mile last start when having her 1st start in Qld. Settling back in the pack from a 2nd line gate she charged home in the closing stages to take a half-head victory. Fitter from the run, she will find a prominent position here and is right in the fight.

LENNY THE LEGEND (12) made the most of his chances last start and was a stylish winner from gate 7 when racing wide to arrive for the win. He is in form and will be swooping home hard again here.

KEY LARGO (6) will take further benefit from his latest start when 2nd up from a break. Holding the passing lane he held on for 2nd behind MY ULTIMATE FELLA. The gate hurts yet he is in the mix here.

SELECTIONS: SKYFELLA CAM (1), JUST SEDUCE ME (4), LENNY THE LEGEND (12), KEY LARGO (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-4-6-12

RACE EIGHT

PATERNITY SUIT (2)
couldn’t get to the pegs last start from this same gate and settled in the running line and then was left probing for a gap that didn’t open. A winner 5 starts back over the mile, this is the easiest assignment he has seen for some time and he gets every chance to take this.

MIGHT AND MAIN (6) has taken on mares qualifiers at her past 3 starts and has little luck with landing a marble after a string of wide gates. The effort was sound last start behind LUVUMUM and 3 starts back hit the line strongly. With the right run she can look to throw down a challenge.

ONYAJANS (1) will strip fitter from her latest run when1st up from a break. Starting from gate 1 over the 1780m at Redcliffe she fought on for the bronze behind OLIVER WINKLE. Thee gate suits her chances to run a placing.

MISTERRIODEJANEIRO (4) heads to AP for the 1st time after 3 starts at Redcliffe since arriving in Qld. 5m from TIWANAKU last start from the pocket trail he won’t be too far away here.

SELECTIONS: PATERNITY SUIT (2), MIGHT AND MAIN (6), ONYAJANS (1), MISTERRIODEJANEIRO (4)
SUGGESTED BET: PATERNITY SUIT (2) to win
