RACE TWO

CRUZY DUDE (1) is airborne at present and will go in search of his 6th successive victory and keep his AP undefeated record in-tact. Too strong in the breeze over the 2138m last start, he did it from the front the start prior, ripping home a smart closing panel. From the gate he looks mighty hard to stop.

THE BUS (8) returns from a spell and features in a stable switch during his break, lining up for the Kylie Rasmussen stable for the 1st time. Too strong in the breeze last start over the mile, he has trialled twice in good order for the return and should get the perfect trip 1st up to challenge.

ITALIAN DELIGHT (4) will take great benefit from his 1st run back from a spell when landing the bronze and only 3m from NORTHVIEW HUSTLER in a FFA. In this company he is right in the mix.

THE SHADY ONE (9) went to the pegs for the cheap runs and was finding the line nicely last start when not far from CRUZY DUDE. With a similar trip available here, look for him probing the gaps.

SELECTIONS: CRUZY DUDE (1), THE BUS (8), ITALIAN DELIGHT (4), THE SHADY ONE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-4-8-9

RACE THREE

CLASSIE AMERICAN (8) eased back from gate 7 last start over the middle distance to look for luck. Hitting gaps and closing out strongly, he hit some traffic and the 5m margin to CLARRY was an eye-catching effort. Within 2m of CRUZY DUDE 2 starts back, he will be ready to take the snipers shot.

MACEY JAYDE (1) finally put it together last start and with the right trip in the pocket trail, was right-lined at the top of the stretch and arrived to claim victory in a mares event. Fading out the start prior as TENNYSON BROMAC took the prize, she can make the most of the ace gate and go back-to-back.

WHISKEY BLAZE (2) needs conditions in his favour and from the good gate here should settle close to the speed. Luckless last start from gate 10, that followed a smart win and he is in the mix.

DREAM TO SHARE (9) eased back from gate 7 last start and when angled wider was attacking the line with venom to arrive for a smart win over the mile. With the right cart into the contest, he is right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: CLASSIE AMERICAN (8), MACEY JAYDE (1), WHISKEY BLAZE (2), DREAM TO SHARE (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

MADAME LEZA (4)
has been given a few weeks off following a tough run where she was forced to do plenty of work from the 2nd line when circling them early to the breeze. Fighting hard the start prior when rolling forward from gate 7 and only 3m from the winner TASSINI, conditions here look ideal.

MY SECRET TORQUE (6) is in nice touch at present and has 2 wins from her past 3 appearances. Working forward from gate 4 to find the front last start, she was able to claim a new career benchmark, put together with a sizzling closing panel. The gate hurts, but she can feature.

MATRON JUJON (8) has no favours from this gate and will need some luck in transit to spot an opening. Fading out after a tough run last start over the 2138m, a soft trip at the mile suits here.

CHINOOK WINDS (3) has been good in 2 starts since arriving in Qld, grabbing the bronze in similar mares qualifier on both occasions. With an improved gate, she can be around the mark again.

SELECTIONS: MADAME LEZA (4), MY SECRET TORQUE (6), MATRON JUJON (8), CHINOOK WINDS (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MADAME LEZA (4) to win

RACE FIVE

JAX NAVARO (1) should appreciate an improved alley after facing some tough gates in recent outings. Working home soundly in claiming company here 3 starts back, his past 2 have been at Marburg from outside the 2nd line and chasing in vain. With slick early moves, he can look to dictate.

RUATO BAY (9) was locked against the pegs over this trip last start and looking to the passing lane was hitting the line in nice order to grab the silver behind MONTANA CHIEF. Not suited in the breeze 2 starts back in claiming grade, he can secure the right trail here and be ready to challenge late.

RANFURLY RULZ (5) was locked on the poles from inside the 2nd line at Marburg last start and finding space at the top of the stretch, was able to grab 3rd. with even luck he won’t be far away here.

ALWAYS AT NIGHT (6)  has been runner-up at his past 2 starts at the mile and middle-distance. Only 6m from the winner EARL JUJON here last week, he will be one to include in the multiples.

SELECTIONS: JAX NAVARO (1), RUATO BAY (9), RANFURLY RULZ (5), ALWAYS AT NIGHT (6)
SUGGESTED BET: JAX NAVARO (1) to win

RACE SIX

In great form since joining the Cini barn, GETARATTLEON (3) has been in the money at all 5 starts this season, 2 of those being wins. Taking them all the way over the 2138m trip 2 starts back, he was grabbed in the closing stages last start. Settling handy in this, he can take the closing shot from off the speed.

MONTANA CHIEF (5) is on the back-up from Thurs where he looked well placed to land a hat-trick of victories. A winner from the pocket trail 2 starts back, he was charging home from a long way back to land a smart win over the 2138m 3 starts back. Finding position cheaply, he can challenge in this.

TRAIN WRECK (2) took on a conditioned contest 2 starts back and finding position from gate 5 was able to finish over the top to score. Not suited from gate 7 last start, he can use his early speed here.

SKYFELLA CAM (4) found the right race 3 starts back and pressing on to the breeze from gate 6 was able to pack too many guns in scoring. Not suited buried on the pegs his past 2 starts, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: GETARATTLEON (3), MONTANA CHIEF (5), TRAIN WRECK (2), SKYFELLA CAM (4)
SUGGESTED BET: GETARATTLEON (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

OFFTHETOPOFMYHEAD (5) has been freshened since his last appearance when down the line behind the in-form CRUZY DUDE. In that outing he was back in the pack and the 55.3 closing 800m set from the front made it tough for the chasers. Settling handy in the smaller field, he can arrive.

MAJOR CURRENCY (1) has been facing some wider gates of late and the improved alley is a big advantage as he looks to regain winning form. Luckless last start when trying to find space, the effort had merit to be 7m from the winner. From the gate, he can use his gate speed to capitalise.

CHARMING MAJOR (2) looked to take them all the way last start over the mile when setting a slick tempo in front. Grabbed in the closing stages by CLARRY, he will be right in the fight against these.

THE GOLDEN CROSS (8) was a winner here 4 starts back over the mile when able to lead throughout. In 3 runs in qualifiers since, conditions haven’t been in his favour, yet they look better in this.

SELECTIONS: OFFTHETOPOFMYHEAD (5), MAJOR CURRENCY (1), CHARMING MAJOR (2), THE GOLDEN CROSS (8)
SUGGESTED BET: OFFTHETOPOFMYHEAD (5) each-way

RACE EIGHT

MACH ALERT (4) has started from either gate 6 or gate 7 at his past 8 starts in succession and moving into the four-hole here is a big plus. Snagging back 2 starts back, he was hitting the line strongly to grab the silver behind NORTHVIEW HUSTLER. If he can find the pegs, he will take some catching.

WATCH PULP FICTION (2) ws able to find the front from gate 3 here 2 starts back and taking control was able to fight off all challengers to claim victory by a head in a new career PB. Gunned down in the closing stages over the 2138m trip last start, he can hustle early and is right in the fight.

LEOS BEST (5) secured an upset victory over his Victoria Cup bound stablemate COLT THIRTY ONE last week when dictating in front. Finding the pegs over the sprint trip, he was left alone and was able to claim a 5m victory. It will be tougher this time around, but he can chime into the money.

GLENFERRIE HOOD (6) resumes from a spell after missing the Winter Carnival after his form just tapered off. Opening the pipes in 2 smart trials, gate 6 makes it mighty tough 1st up, but he can’t be ignored.

SELECTIONS: MACH ALERT (4), WATCH PULP FICTION (2), LEOS BEST (5), GLENFERRIE HOOD (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MACH ALERT (4) to win

RACE NINE

OUR OVERANOVA (5) finds conditions to suit here and will be out for successive wins after winning under these same conditions from the same alley last start. Possessing an amazing record, this race will be his 100th appearance at The Creek and in great touch, he looks set to make it AP win 46.

GEE UP NEDDY (3) has been warming up to a victory and 2 starts back from the mobile was in for the fight when only 1m in arrears of OUR OVERANOVA. Finding the right contest last start, he was able to hit the line strongly from back in the pack to arrive for a stylish win and can go close again here.

GREG THE GREAT (1) was sent out as fav last start from the mobile and was wide off the track when the best he could manage was 2nd to GEE UP NEDDY. From the ace gate, he will be thereabouts.

SOUTHERN ALPS (7) completed a hat-trick of victories last start and when arriving in time for the prize after working home well from the 20m impost. The biggest concern is his record under mobile conditions, where he is winless in 12 attempts.

SELECTIONS: OUR OVERANOVA (5), GEE UP NEDDY (3), GREG THE GREAT (1), SOUTHERN ALPS (7)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR OVERANOVA (5) to win
