RACE TWO

MARTHAS VINEYARD (7) charged home from the rear over the AP mile 2 starts back and went within a half-head of the victory. Last start here on Monday, she was again working home strongly from back in the pack in a tidy effort. If she can do everything right, today might just be the day.

GLENEAGLE WARRIOR (3) returns from a spell to start his 3YO term and comes into this without a public trial to prepare. Showing steady improvement in 5 starts in his 2YO season, he doesn’t meet anything harder than what he met when last in work and he stays under notice here.

TULLI BEE (1) will take experience from her 1st career start here last Monday despite making an error after snagging back from gate 4. With a better trip from the improved gate, she can be sharper here.

IDIOTS DREAM (4) settled in the pocket trail at AP over the sprint trip 2 starts back and was within a length of the winner in a bunched finish. If he can limit the early burn, he can chime into the money.

SELECTIONS: MARTHAS VINEYARD (7), GLENEAGLE WARRIOR (3), TULLI BEE (1), IDIOTS DREAM (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MARTHAS VINEYARD (7) to win

RACE THREE

LIVING FREE (1) should appreciate the return to the front line after starting on the 2nd row at his past 2 appearances. Holding the pocket trail from inside the 2nd line last start, he didn’t see the space to have shot when taking the silver. If he can pinch a panel or 2 in front, he will take plenty of catching.

ARES (6) returns from a freshen up and lines up for his 1st run of the season. His 2nd over the AP 2138m behind GETARATTLEON 3 starts back was a nice effort when locked 3 back against the pegs and with the soft trip on offer here, will be coiled and looking to explode into the gap.

INCITER (5) returns from a spell, with the track specialist sent for a break when down the line at AP back in June. The gate is no luxury 1st up, but he does have two previous 1st up wins here at Marburg.

GIVE ME FIFTY (2) was wide off the track last start and couldn’t get into the contest. The start prior he landed the 2nd line behind the smart looking BILLY LINCOLN and from this gate he can podium.

SELECTIONS: LIVING FREE (1), ARES (6), INCITER (5), GIVE ME FIFTY (2)
SUGGESTED BET: LIVING FREE (1) to win

RACE FOUR

JEWEL OF PEAK (4)
will take further benefit from her latest run on Thurs where she was 3rd up from a break. Setting a solid tempo, she was collared late in finishing 8m from the swooping winner NON PASSARE. This will be her 1st look at Marburg, and with the right trip will be tough to stop.

DOLLARBILL (7) will need a slice of luck from this alley, but if able to slice through in the early stages to settle handy, will get his chance. Wide and working home last start over the AP mile, his previous 3 came in a luckless Victorian campaign. This is the right type of race for him to bounce into form.

RAGING INFERNO (9) has a win and a 2nd in his only 2 appearances her on the track and despite the tough alley, can be working home strongly. This is easier than his past 2 outings and he can be chiming in.

MANOFLISA (1) was an all the way winner from this gate last Monday and with the ace gate again, should be able to get the right trip to be around the money once again.

SELECTIONS: JEWEL OF PEAK (4), DOLLARBILL (7), RAGING INFERNO (9), MANOFLISA (1)
SUGGESTED BET: JEWEL OF PEAK (4) to win

RACE FIVE

Featuring in another stable switch, GRINYDONTCHA (3) lines up with her 7th trainer in the past 12 months, lining up with Kay Crone for the 1st time. Working in the breeze from outside the front-line last start, she faded out. With the speed to find the pegs, she might just be able to pinch this.

MOONLIGHT BUTHCER (6) has no favours from inside the 2nd line here, but if able to extricate from the peg-line in the early stages, he will certainly come into contention. Taking them all the way here last Monday from gate 2, he was also a tidy winner here 3 starts back from this gate. Just needs luck.

MY WINGMAN (8) found his way into the pocket trail here last start and chased valiantly to hold the silver behind REDDY FIRE. Luckless the start prior, if he gets the right cart home he can feature.

ITS YOU NOT ME (5) settled in the pocket trail here last start and was making a dive on the line to get within a head of the winner LIGHTHORSE. The gate hurts, but if limiting the work, he can swoop.

SELECTIONS: GRINYDONTCHA (3), MOONLIGHT BUTHCER (6), MY WINGMAN (8), ITS YOU NOT ME (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

VILLAGE CRUISER (1) will take added benefit from his latest outing when 2nd up from a break off the 2nd line over the AP mile. Ending up facing the breeze after a scrimmage that disrupted the field, the run had merit under the circumstances. With good speed off the arm, he can look to dictate.

IM TOOT (6) has a tidy record here on the tight track with a pair of wins from just the outings. Buried in the run last start, the closing tempo made it tough to chase behind GINA MACH and 2 starts back he wasn’t suited when working hard in the run. He will need some luck but can probe the openings.

DOMESTIC ART (3) loves it here at Marburg and is a 10-time winner at the track. A winner here 2 starts back when leading all the way, he was only 5m in arrears last start. He is right in the fight here.

RITCHIE BEE (2) should find this a shade easier than his recent assignments, the latest when unable to sprint with them. Holding a forward position against this field he can be around the mark.

SELECTIONS: VILLAGE CRUISER (1), IM TOOT (6), DOMESTIC ART (3), RITCHIE BEE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: VILLAGE CRUISER (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

Backing up from a race at Albion Park on Friday, OOZINVILLE (2) looks to find the right conditions here. Last Monday he worked home in good order to grab the bronze after starting from gate 4. Possessing good speed out of the machine, he can look to dictate and fight them off here.

DALLAS COWGIRL (7) was a winner here 3 starts back in a similar type race when working home nicely from back in the pack after starting from the 2nd line. In 2 starts since that win she has copped gate 5 and then inside the 2nd line when the gaps didn’t open. With the right trip, she can feature.

LOMBO SKY HAWK (4) went to the pegs hoping for some short-cuts last start, but couldn’t go when the sprint went on. He can get across early here and has podium claims in this line-up.

THANKHEAVNFORGIRLS (5) did it tough in the breeze 2 starts back against stronger opponents when fading late to finish mid-field. Just missing the win on Thurs, she won’t be too far away against these.

SELECTIONS: OOZINVILLE (2), DALLAS COWGIRL (7), LOMBO SKY HAWK (4), THANKHEAVNFORGIRLS (5)
SUGGESTED BET: OOZINVILLE (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

AQUA CRUISER (1) was too strong here on Monday from the breeze after content to park out over this trip. Rolling the sleeves and digging in to land the 1st over crush in a smart closing 800m, it took his record to 2 from 3 here on the track. Holding the front, he will take plenty of running down.

KARINYA MULLY (8) is on the back-up from Thursday where he was strong in the run. He just couldn’t go with them the start prior when the sprint went on and 3 starts back, he took on a much stronger line-up than he meets here. With the right run in transit, he can look to challenge.

DONNY JONES (6) will need his share of luck with no passing lane on offer here at Marburg, but f he can sight some space, he can chime in. Backing up from Friday, he will be probing the openings.

BALLATOR THOR (7) used the passing lane to arrive for the prize over the AP mile last start in setting a new career PB. With the options available for a peg trip here, he can sneak into the money again.

SELECTIONS: AQUA CRUISER (1), KARINYA MULLY (8), DONNY JONES (6), BALLATOR THOR (7)
SUGGESTED BET: AQUA CRUISER (1) to win
