RACE TWO

Beaten as a red figure fav last start, TIMELESS APPEAL (4) will be looking to bounce back here and finds the right type of race 2nd up. Resuming from gate 5, she did the hard yards in the run when finishing 8m from the winner. Fitter from that run, this looks the right type of race to atone.

DONT CALL ME (10) returns from a break and has the 2nd line gate as a result of his manners when making an error last start. Resetting he chased nicely to grab the silver when only 5m from the winner CAESARS ASTRUM. A smart all the way winner 2 starts back, his fitness is the query.

NICSTAR (9) settled back in the pack from gate 5 over the 2138m last start and was sound to the line behind GRIZZLY MONTANA. Placed his previous 2 which followed successive wins, he is right in this.

RITCHIE BEE (2) was able to squeeze into the trail last start at Marburg and with the easy trip and then space in the stretch arrived for the win. From the good gate he won’t be too far away.

SELECTIONS: TIMELESS APPEAL (4), DONT CALL ME (10), NICSTAR (9), RITCHIE BEE (2),
SUGGESTED BET: TIMELESS APPEAL (4) to win

RACE THREE

This maiden looks a wide-open contest GADOT (2) who will be 1st up from a break to start her 3YO term might just have found a suitable target. Finding them too sharp at her debut in the Breeders Consolation, she then struck trouble 2nd up. Finding the pegs, she will have the options.

ARTFUL MASTER (5) has placed in 2 of his 4 career starts, the latest when finding the line in good style from the 2nd line at Marburg. Only 5m from the winner after things never we his way 2 starts back in a blanket finish, he can look to throw down the challenge here.

CANNAN (6) settled in the pocket trail last start and via the passing lane was only 2m from the winner WHERES TASCOTT. That followed a nice effort for the silver at Marburg and he has hopes.

ROCK THE HOUSE (10) was forced to snag back from outside the front line at AP last start and then was never really in the mix. If able to return an effort similar to his run 3 back, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: GADOT (2), ARTFUL MASTER (5), CANNAN (6), ROCK THE HOUSE (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

OUR DOUG (10)
has the tough gate off the 2nd line to negotiate here, but he might just have enough of an edge to beat the map against this field. Forced back off gate 7 last start over the 2138m trip, he closed out to grab the bronze. Not suited the start prior, he looks to get his chance in this.

VIC HUNTER (1) made the most of the lamp lighting duties last start when taking control over the Marburg sprint trip and holding on to score. Taking confidence from the run to break the maiden status, he can look to make the most of the ace gate once again.

AROONA (9) was taken off the arm last start from gate 6 and was too far back to work into the contest. Runner-up at his previous 3 in succession, he can be working home late to place.

CHEYENNE AUTUMN (2) has placed at her past 2 starts, the latest a tough effort when sent to the breeze from the 2nd line. In for the fight she was only beaten a neck and from this gate can feature.

SELECTIONS: OUR DOUG (10), VIC HUNTER (1), AROONA (9), CHEYENNE AUTUMN (2)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR DOUG (10) to win

RACE FIVE

DOLLARBILL (4) pressed on to the breeze from the 2nd line at Marburg last time out over the sprint trip. In a race where the speed was on throughout, he was in for the fight to get within a half-neck of the winner JEWEL OF PEAK in a new track record. This race is no tougher and he gets his chance.

MONTANA NIGHTS (5) returned from a spell with a tough 2nd from gate 5 when forced to race tough in the breeze. Following that with another 2nd when finding the front over the mile, he was then rewarded with a smart maiden breaking win. In nice touch since resuming, he can challenge.

DOWNTOWN LUCCA (2) fired out early from gate 4 last start and was able to find the pocket trail. Right-lined he finished over the top to claim a nice win. The gate is a plus and he is in the mix.

JOANNIES GIRL (9) settled a long way back in the pack last start from gate 4 over the AP mile. With a cart home she was finding the line in good order. Taking benefit from the run she has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: DOLLARBILL (4), MONTANA NIGHTS (5), DOWNTOWN LUCCA (2), JOANNIES GIRL (9)
SUGGESTED BET: DOLLARBILL (4) to win

RACE SIX

JUMPING JOLT (1) eased back from gate 6 over the sprint trip 2 starts back and was attacking the line strongly in the closing stages to be 2m in arrears of the winner LUCIFERS LEGEND. Forget his last star when striking trouble, he will enjoy his best gate for some time and will be tough to stop in this.

MACHEASY (8) will be further tightened from his latest appearance when 3rd up since returning from a spell. 3rd to the in-form CRUZY DUDE 2 starts back when securing a cosy trip in the trail, he was finding the line strongly last start behind HEZ RAZOR SHARP and can throw down a strong challenge.

SIR JULIAN (3) was sent to the post as fav last start in a Band 5 event. Settling in the running line from gate 2, he was sound to the line when 5m in arrears. Finding position cheaply will be key here.

LIKEALLOFUS (5) has no favours from the wide gate but with even luck in the run can look to chime in late. Only grabbed on the line 2 starts back, his past 2 have had merit from tough gates.

SELECTIONS: JUMPING JOLT (1), MACHEASY (8), SIR JULIAN (3), LIKEALLOFUS (5)
SUGGESTED BET: JUMPING JOLT (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

TAKITIMU EXPRESS (1) has been taking on Sat night company in the 2nd division qualifiers in recent starts and been returning some tidy efforts. 3 starts back when easing back from gate 4 to hunt for luck up the pegs, he was hitting the line strongly for 2nd. With the peg-line benefits, this looks his chance.

MAJOR GENERALJUJON (8) pressed on from gate 6 over the AP middle distance last time when forced to cut the breeze throughout. Rolling the sleeves and knuckling down for the fight, he packed too many guns to claim a 5m victory. This is not a great deal harder and he can go close.

ULTIMATE AD (3) will take good benefit from his latest start when 1st up from a break. Settling back in the field from outside the 2nd line, he couldn’t work into the contest last start. With sharp early speed he can be gripping on.

RUATO BAY (10) has placed at his past 2 starts and comes into this with a handy record on the triangle where he has scored victory on 10 occasions. The gate is a stinger, but won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: TAKITIMU EXPRESS (1), MAJOR GENERALJUJON (8), ULTIMATE AD (3), RUATO BAY (10)
SUGGESTED BET: TAKITIMU EXPRESS (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

BEE GEES BANDIT (5) started from gate 10 last start over the mile and was a long way back in transit prior to looking to work into the contest. Probing for some clear space that never arrived, he went to the wire without getting a decent crack at them. Only beaten a head the start prior, this is within reach.

MISS KENNY (1) resumes from a break and has featured in a stable switch during her time off. Lining up for the astute Ryan Veivers barn for the 1st time, she has been to the trials twice to open the pipes for her return and with the peg-line benefits 1st up will be on the radar in this.

RUTHLESS ARMBRO (6) might have some ordinary numbers next to his name, yet that is not a fair indication of his effort of late. Setting a solid tempo last start, the return to the triangle suits.

MAYWYNS BEST (8) was shuffled back from inside the 2nd line last start but when making his run, attacked the line nicely to be 2m from the winner ELMS CREEK. With even luck he can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: BEE GEES BANDIT (5), MISS KENNY (1), RUTHLESS ARMBRO (6), MAYWYNS BEST (8)
SUGGESTED BET: BEE GEES BANDIT (5) to win
