RACE TWO

SWAFFHAM WATER (1) eased back from gate 6 last start to find position and from back in the field was making good metres in the latter stages to be 8m from the winner MERRYWOOD PEARL. Not suited the start prior when snagged back from gate 6, the ace is a big plus and she gets her chance.

RITCHIE BEE (3) was forced to face the breeze from this gate last start over the sprint trip. Rolling the sleeves, he was in for the fight to be mid-field yet only 5m from the winner. A tidy winner at Marburg 3 starts back, he might need to do the heavy lifting again here but will fight hard.

OUR PEPPERJACK (10) made a mess of the start last start that sees him banished to the extreme gate. Buried in the run 2 starts back, his runs have been spaced and with added fitness can podium.

KAANAPALI (2) looked to take them all the way last start from gate 1 and led them deep into the stretch. Collared in the closing stages, he can fire out again here and be gripping on again.

SELECTIONS: SWAFFHAM WATER (1), RITCHIE BEE (3), OUR PEPPERJACK (10), KAANAPALI (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SWAFFHAM WATER (1) to win

RACE THREE

OUR DOUG (8) found the right race here 2 starts back and with plenty of patience in the run, was able to loom up and make the closing swoop a winning move over the 2040m. Finishing beyond mid-field last start, he looks to get his chance in this line-up to land his 5th win on the triangle.

MAYWYN A JUG OR TWO (1) returns from a lengthy break after being put away following winning his maiden here last start back in February. Starting a short-priced elect, he capitalises on gate 2 in leading all the way to a 18m win. Opening the pipes with a smart trial, he is right in this off the ace.

TORQUE IS MY GIRL (3) returns from a spell and despite just 1 career win, has been super consistent with a further 14 placings from her 21 starts. Only beaten a neck last start, she is in the mix.

JOANNIES GIRL (5) should appreciate this contest at her 1st look at Redcliffe. Eased back from gate 5 last start, the closing tempo set from the front made it tough for the chasers. She can be sharper.

SELECTIONS: OUR DOUG (8), MAYWYN A JUG OR TWO (1), TORQUE IS MY GIRL (3), JOANNIES GIRL (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

MISTER DECORUM (3)
makes his Qld debut for the Robert Gorman barn and arrives with 4 career victories. Working home well from gate 6 at Shepparton 2 starts back, he was a beaten fav last start at Temora over the 2000m. With good speed out of the machine, he finds a winnable race 1st up.

A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (4) has been racing well as he searches for his 1st Qld victory. In for the fight after racing tough in the breeze last start, he held on to 4th in a blanket finish where he was only 1m from the winner. Grabbing the silver off the 2nd line 2 starts back, he is right in the fight once again.

VOODOO FELLA (6) has the tough gate to negotiate once again after landing outside 2nd line runs in 2 runs back from a spell. He struck trouble last start and with a cleaner passage here can chime in.

OUR LITTLE GIRL (9) was in for the fight last start when finishing within 2m of the winner after facing the breeze. Only 2m from THE CRUISE MISSILE 3 starts back, she won’t be far away again here.

SELECTIONS: MISTER DECORUM (3), A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (4), VOODOO FELLA (6), OUR LITTLE GIRL (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 3-4-6-9

RACE FIVE

This race looks a tricky little contest to round out the UTAB Quaddie. Settling with DOWNTOWN LUCCA (10) on top despite the tough gate. A smart winner 3 starts back over the AP mile, he then met a tougher contest prior to finding the line well here last start. This is within reach.

MAYWYN NO REGRETS (9) will take good benefit from her return to the track following a spell and having her 1st run since turning 4YO. From this same gate, she was able to find the 1x1 trail and was sound to the line when only 2m in arrears. This is slightly easier and she can be fighting it out.

ROCK THE HOUSE (3) has placed in 3 of his past 5 starts as he looks to break the maiden status. Settling in the pocket trail last start, he went within a half-neck of the prize and can be thereabouts.

LA BELLE CHEVAL (5) started a red figure fav over the 2040m trip last start and from gate 5 never fired a shot. Her run the start prior was a nice 2nd when 5m away and she can be sharper here.

SELECTIONS: DOWNTOWN LUCCA (10), MAYWYN NO REGRETS (9), ROCK THE HOUSE (3), LA BELLE CHEVAL (5)
SUGGESTED BET: DOWNTOWN LUCCA (10) to win

RACE SIX

BLACKSADANCE (9) can do plenty wrong but if the penny can drop, he might just be able to put a few together. A tragedy beaten last start when he made an error but made up a stack of ground to be 9m from the winner, he was banished to the trials as a result. Stick with him, its coming!

BEYONSKI (1) resumes off a freshen here and was last seen from gate 9 over the AP mile. Sent to the breeze, she fought on gamely to be within 10m of the winner. Tough from that same position the start prior, she will have the peg-line benefits at her disposal here and can capitalise.

IFYOUBELIEVE (10) doesn’t have any favours from the extreme gate, but is going well enough to chime in against these. Only grabbed near the wire last start by WHATA REACTOR, he can place here.

AROONA (6) is another that has a tough gate to negotiate but is racing consistently at present with placings in 5 of his past 6, all from tough draws. Look for him working into the race late.

SELECTIONS: BLACKSADANCE (9), BEYONSKI (1), IFYOUBELIEVE (10), AROONA (6)
SUGGESTED BET: BLACKSADANCE (9) to win

RACE SEVEN

BOULDER CITY (4) returns to start his 4YO term after being sent for a break following his last start in the Redcliffe 3YO sales race. Leading them up and setting a sharp tempo, he was worn down in the stretch, only 4m from the winner REGULUS. Without a public trial, fitness looks the only concern.

EULO FLYER (7) has finished 3rd at 4 of his past 5 appearances, the latest when working home in good order from gate 8 to be 4m from the winner MONTANA NIGHTS. His run the start prior was sound over the AP mile where they were just a bit too sharp. With the soft trip he can chime in here.

LADY ELLE AYE (1) worked home wide off the track to arrive for the prize here 2 starts back. Finding the pegs early before releasing last start and then fading out, the benefit of the ace gate helps here.

ALOT OF COST (9) will take further benefit from his latest appearance when 2nd up from a break. Lighting the lamps, he was keen in front when nabbed late, beaten 2m. The gate hurts.

SELECTIONS: BOULDER CITY (4), EULO FLYER (7), LADY ELLE AYE (1), ALOT OF COST (9)
SUGGESTED BET: BOULDER CITY (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

PRINCESS KATERINA (5) looks well-placed here off the 20m tape with her latest start in Sat night company where she was only 8m from the winner CLOVER MAC. 6m from IM THE COMMANDO the start prior after starting from 10m, she has a smart record here on the triangle and is right in this.

DAENERYS STORMBORN (7) started from the 40m tape over the 1780m here 2 starts back and was finding the line strongly to grab the bronze when 10m from the winner. Forget her Marburg run on Sunday where she struck trouble, the longer trip here makes the 40m an easier hurdle to overcome.

MYRTLE BEACH (3) was rewarded for some handy performances of late when able to shake off the maiden tag here last week. Winning confidence helps, but pushed back 10m for the win, she will need to really step up again.

MAJESTIC WHIZ (2) found herself buried in the run over the long AP trip 2 starts back and also struck tyre issues when only 7m in arrears. Placed her previous 2, she can challenge here at start 100.

SELECTIONS: DAENERYS STORMBORN (7), PRINCESS KATERINA (5), MYRTLE BEACH (3), MAJESTIC WHIZ (2)
SUGGESTED BET: PRINCESS KATERINA (5) to win
