RACE TWO

BROADWATER (1) has been freshened since his latest outing when working hard in the run behind ROCKNROLL DUDE over the 2138m trip at AP. That followed a tough run in the breeze when not far away. He will need to hustle early but can maintain the inside advantage and look to dictate.

OLIVER WINKLE (7) is not entirely suited by coming with one run but with the benefit of the cosy run in transit can be probing for a gap to run on late. Working home wide out last start, his run from gate 10 here 2 starts back was a solid effort.

JOHNNYCAKE (5) did some early work here last time out when having his 4th run back from a break. Knuckling down for the fight he went within a nose of victory. Fitter again he can challenge.

MIRACLESDOAPPEN (6) has the tough gate to overcome but is racing well enough to be a factor in this line-up. She took them all the way last start in good fashion and will be in for the fight here.

SELECTIONS: BROADWATER (1), OLIVER WINKLE (7), JOHNNYCAKE (5), MIRACLESDOAPPEN (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

HERES MY NUMBER (8) looked to take them all the way in a heat of the 3YO Sales race when gunned down late by ITSMEGS up the passing lane. His run in the final when striking trouble was a top effort considering the circumstances. This looks well within reach.

LEORYAN (1) has been freshened since his last outing when looking to take them all the way at Marburg and holding on to be 8m from the winner TRAVELNFAST. With the options from the gate, he can enjoy the cosy trip and be ready to issue a closing challenge.

ZED EXPRESS (9) started in red figures from the ace here last start and justified the quote with a comfortable all-the-way win. That redeemed a beaten effort the start prior and he has place claims from the gate.

MOONLIGHT JACK (7) will need a slice of luck to go his way, but if able to spot space in time can issue a challenge in this. He hit the line hard last start to get within a neck of the winner and will be probing.

SELECTIONS: HERES MY NUMBER (8), LEORYAN (1), ZED EXPRESS (9), MOONLIGHT JACK (7)
SUGGESTED BET: HERES MY NUMBER (8) to win

RACE FOUR

LETHAL PROMISE (5)
drops back to Thurs company after competing on the Wed night circuit where he has placed at his past 10 in succession. Working forward to find the breeze before taking cover, he fought hard to get within 2m of the winner. With the ability to work, this looks his chance.

MINI MIRACLE (1) was a winner here 4 starts back when sent forward from gate 5 to take up the running and then able to keep them chasing to score by 2m. In 3 runs since, she has not had the greatest of luck in the run and with the inside advantage can look to capitalise.

ARBIT MAJOR (6) has no favours from this alley, yet is racing well enough to land in the money. From gate 8 last start he finished best to arrive for a 3m victory. Finding early position will help his cause.

THE FORMULA ONE (8) pressed on to find the breeze last start and dug in for the fight when 4m from the winner GLASSCUTTERSPIRIT. He won’t be far away in this.

SELECTIONS: LETHAL PROMISE (5), MINI MIRACLE (1), ARBIT MAJOR (6), THE FORMULA ONE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-5-6-8

RACE FIVE

SWEET AS CANDY (2) has a handy record here at the triangle and with the speed to find the pegs 1st will be looking to dictate. Run down by the smart filly MAJOR OCCASION in mares company last start, her run at Newcastle 2 back was a tidy effort. She will give them plenty to chase.

KETUT (4) used the passing lane to hold on for the silver behind BELLS BEACH HOUSE over the 2280m here 2 starts back, with the winner and leader controlling the tempo in front. Beaten by the gate in the final of that series behind SAMS A CHAMP, he has claims in this.

LEXUS ON THE BEACH (6) has the tough alley to overcome and will be on the short back-up from AP on Tues. He dug in for the fight behind WATTLEBANK FLYER 2 starts back and can bob-up in the money in this.

JESSICA AMBER (1) was not interested in the front from the ace last start in a mares event and from the trail was stuck behind a tiring leader. Back to the triangle suits and she can be an improver.

SELECTIONS: SWEET AS CANDY (2), KETUT (4), LEXUS ON THE BEACH (6), JESSICA AMBER (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SWEET AS CANDY (2) to win

RACE SIX

UNASSUMING CHAMP (8)
is in great touch with a pair of wins and a pair of 2nd placed runs in his past 4 starts. Sent forward from gate 10 last start to the breeze, he dug in for the fight in going under by a head. That followed successive all-the-way wins and he will give this a big shake.

HAMMERHOFF (3) started from the five hole last time over the 1780m trip and was driven forward to press on and take up the lamp lighting duties. Setting even panels he held on to score his 2nd win in 3 starts. He can look for the pegs and will be gripping on.

SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT (6) has no favours from this alley, however should appreciate this type of race after taking on some handy types recently. He hit the line strongly last start and can chime in again.

GLENFERRIE DUSTER (9) made the most of an improved gate here 2 starts back and was sent to the front to dictate and score. He charged home from gate 10 last start and will be swooping late here.

SELECTIONS: UNASSUMING CHAMP (8), HAMMERHOFF (3), SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT (6), GLENFERRIE DUSTER (9)
SUGGESTED BET: UNASSUMING CHAMP (8) to win

RACE SEVEN

SHADOW PASS (6) started from gate 12 at AP over the 2138m trip 2 starts back when making a move at the 600m and getting a sneaky breather at the 250m was able to peel off and score a nice win. Beaten in red figures last start after working hard, he can overcome this gate to score.

SHEZABONNYGEM (8) sat back in the pack from gate 5 over the 2040m here 3 starts back and came with a well-timed run to arrive for the win. Following that with a late closing 2nd, she will be better suited here after taking on a tough mares event last start and she is right in the fight.

NERIO (7) has finished mid-field at her past 2 starts against some handy opponents after completing a hat-trick of victories. She will need a slice of luck from this alley, but can sprint hard when the gap opens.

THUNDER MAC (5) was taken back from gate 5 last start over the mile and was then facing a task behind the in-form SECRET JACK. With even luck in transit he is one to include in the exotics.

SELECTIONS: SHADOW PASS (6), SHEZABONNYGEM (8), NERIO (7), THUNDER MAC (5)
SUGGESTED BET: SHADOW PASS (6) to win

RACE EIGHT

ONE MANS PASS (2)
has ordinary numbers next to his name and is approaching 12 months since he last tasted success. That said, 8 of his past 9 starts have been from the 2nd line and the other was here last start from gate 6. He strikes a winnable race and from the improved gate he can get it back on track here.

CHEYENNE WARRIOR (9) was a winner from gate 8 here 3 starts back when he found his race and was able to finish best to score over the 1780m. Last start from the pocket trail he fought on to claim the bronze and he has podium hopes again here.

PURE MADNESS (1) pressed to the front from gate 2 here last start and once in front was gripping on but could not withstand the charge of CHEYENEE WARRIOR. From the gate she will be in the mix.

ANNAS BEST (8) was buried away in the run last start and was hitting the line in good order to get within 4m of the winner MIRACLESDOAPPEN. With a nice early trail she can look to finish hard again.

SELECTIONS: ONE MANS PASS (2), CHEYENNE WARRIOR (9), PURE MADNESS (1), ANNAS BEST (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ONE MANS PASS (2) to win
