The Rockhampton Jockey Club hosts a seven-race program on Thursday afternoon from 1.52pm, where the track is currently rated Good (4) and the rail is in the True position. 

We've taken a look at a Runner To Watch in each race. 

Race 1

2. Extra Cover 

Will appreciate a drop in grade after not being disgraced in BM75 company last-start. Split Townsville Guineas winner Barbados Storm and Aloof's Turf here two starts back.

1. Our Top Shelf

This boy is flying. He put a gap on Legal Ties last-start when proving strong late. This race looks no harder. The one to beat.

Race 3

1. Static Lift

Former NSW runner having his third start for Jamie McConachy. Flew home at Townsville two-starts back and should improve on last-start third behind Now Ask Me and Craiglea Cetina.

Race 4

3. Turkey Beach

Improving with every run this prep and will be primed to strike third-up. Will have to jump from the outside gate but has in-form jockey Ryan Wiggins on board.

Race 5

8. Whoosh

Finished third despite an alarming betting drift when in similar company last start. However, should be able to utilise the inside draw to find a position on-speed.

Race 6

1. Blazeray

Will have to carry weight but drops back to the right grade here. Finished 4L off Bound To Me last start, and was a close 2nd to the airborne Beraht two starts back. Broke through at Hawkesbury in May before beaten only 2.9L in BM75 company at Canterbury.
