RACE TWO

BEEF CITY STARZZZ (2) is one day shy of 12 months since his last success, as he lines up here 3rd up from a break. With the added fitness and an improved gate after the 2 runs back have been from the 2nd line, he looks to strike a winnable race. He should find this easier than his 2nd up run and can sneak away with it.

SUPREME BANNER (4) started off the 2nd line at both attempts here at The Creek and should appreciate a front-line gate in this line-up. Back in the pack last start over the Redcliffe sprint trip, he was sound to the line when 5m in arrears of the winner and the small field should suit here.

DOWNTOWN LUCCA (6) started from gate 5 last time out and worked home in good order to grab the silver behind DATSGOOD. Within 8m of the winner at his previous 2 starts, he can chime in.

WECANONLYHOPE (5) went to the pegs from gate 9 at Redcliffe last start and taking the shortest way home was able to finish 2nd to LAZY BLAZE. Placed her past 2, this is no harder and she can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: BEEF CITY STARZZZ (2), SUPREME BANNER (4), DOWNTOWN LUCCA (6), WECANONLYHOPE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: BEEF CITY STARZZZ (2) to win

RACE THREE

This shapes as a tricky little contest with manners and luck both required to feature. That makes IVANOV (6) an appealing proposition, as he has found form, can makes his own luck and brings excellent manners. Fitter again from his 3rd up run, he stepped straight to the front and dictated over the 2138m. If there is a query it comes at the longer trip, but a top-3 would make it the 50th time he has filled a trifecta position here at AP.

KYVALLEY TINMAN (4) pressed ahead from a 10m tape to find the front over this trip 2 starts back and once in control was never in danger when scoring an 8m victory. A red figure fav last start from the mobile, he did everything right until the stretch, when making an error. He can atone in this.

NORTHERN MUSCLE (8) once again has the 40m back-mark to contend with, but should appreciate the longer trip after falling just 1m short last time over the 2138m. With the right trip he is a danger.

FOURSHARESMOREBEERS (7) resumes from a spell and was meeting the stronger types prior to the break. Beaten 11m behind NORTHERN MUSCLE 2 starts back, he gets a 40m turnaround for this.

SELECTIONS: IVANOV (6), KYVALLEY TINMAN (4), NORTHERN MUSCLE (8), FOURSHARESMOREBEERS (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 4-6-7-8

RACE FOUR

STOMPEM (6)
is in good touch and went into Sat night looking for back-to-back victories when attacking the line with venom to get within 3m of the smart winner TOM ME GUN. After half-neck and half-head 2nd placed finishes, he franked the form with a tough win in a qualifier when facing the breeze and proving too strong over the mile. He can ask the questions here.

GUNRNEEDABIGRBOAT (5) has hit some nice form and will go in search of a hat-trick after wins at both the mile and middle distance his past 2. Pressing on from gate 9 last start, he was able to take control and packed too many guns in claiming an 8m victory. The small field suits and he can land the threepeat.

CHARMING MAJOR (4) will line up for just his 3rd start in 3 months after having his runs well-spaced. Having an early shot for the front last start, he found running line cover prior to finishing 4m from GOTTA GOOD REASON. He can fill the trifecta in this.

SELECTIONS:  STOMPEM (6), GUNRNEEDABIGRBOAT (5), CHARMING MAJOR (4)
SUGGESTED BET:  STOMPEM (6) to win

RACE FIVE

THE DOORMAN (3) finds another suitable target after opening his Qld account in faultless order. Rolling forward from an inside 2nd line e he cruised home to a 10m victory when 1st up and then lowered his career benchmark last start when too strong in the breeze and again scoring by 10. From the good gate, he can pull the rope across and keep them queueing.

MISS BLUE GLORY (9) has been runner-up at her past 2 starts, both times hitting the line nicely from back in the pack. Snagged back from gate 5 last start, she was best of the chasers behind THE DOORMAN and with the right early trail might find her name on the podium guest-list.

GODDESS JUJON (1) returns from a spell and will be 1st up since the G2 Fillies Triad Final. Doing plenty of work in the run she faded out, with her form prior good enough that she can place here.

THE MONEY BALL (4) made the most of the pocket trail here last start and chased hard to grab silver behind BARRETT. Not entirely suited the start prior over the 2138m, he can settle handy here and chime in late.

SELECTIONS: THE DOORMAN (3), MISS BLUE GLORY (9), GODDESS JUJON (1), THE MONEY BALL (4)
SUGGESTED BET: THE DOORMAN (3) to win

RACE SIX

COBBLER LANE (11) has been a consistent performer since arriving in Qld and will line up here with the tidy figures of 8: 3-2-1 at Albion Park. Finding the front in a small field form gate 2 last start, he kept the speed on throughout to score a smart win over the 2138m. Nabbed in the closing strides 2 starts back by STAR OF MONTANA, he can overcome the tough gate in this.

CAESARS ASTRUM (1) made the most of the ace gate at Redcliffe last start and took them all the way over the 2040m trip, running home a smart closing panel. Not far away in a mares qualifier the start prior, she will have the options over the middle trip here and will be right in the fight.

SIR MACADOR (9) has landed the 2nd line at all 4 Qld starts to date and will have to overcome another one here. He found the line nicely after being buried last start and with the right luck in transit can be a player against this field.

TELL THE FUTURE (8) finished last season in a flurry, finishing in the top-3 in 5 successive outings. In for the fight after doing her share of work last time out, she will be probing for gaps.

SELECTIONS: COBBLER LANE (11), CAESARS ASTRUM (1), SIR MACADOR (9), TELL THE FUTURE (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

TENNYSON BROMAC (6) has really started to hit his straps and has now won 3 of his past 4 starts and finished a half-head 2nd after doing all the heavy lifting in the other. Pressing to the front with ease last start, he was in complete control and zipped up the stretch in a smart 27.1 closer. Despite the tricky gate, he can show his class.

INVINCIBLE LOXTON (3) bounced back to winning form last start when pouncing on the pegs from gate 1 and taking them all the way, lowering his career PB in the process. Starting from wide gates at each of his previous 2 starts, he can settle handy here and throw down the challenge.

WHISKEY BLAZE (7) has no favours from the wide gate, but that might not be too much of a concern with the early speed drawn inside. He attacked the line strongly last start when only a half-head from THE BUS which followed a smart win. Look for him swooping late.

MATTGREGOR (5) went straight to the front over this trip last start and after a steady opening 800m, raised the tempo before being collared late. Beaten a neck by TENNYSON BROMAC 2 starts back via the passing lane, he will be gripping on here.

SELECTIONS: TENNYSON BROMAC (6), INVINCIBLE LOXTON (3), WHISKEY BLAZE (7), MATTGREGOR (5)
SUGGESTED BET: TENNYSON BROMAC (6) to win
