RACE TWO

TODAYS HERO (1) rolled forward from gate 6 last start and was forced to do the hard yards in the breeze. The effort told and he faded late over the 2138m trip to be 11m in arrears of the winner. Not far away his previous 2, he strikes his best gate for some time and has the options to capitalise.

KIT KATS CHAT (3) returns off a freshen to have the 1st start of her 4YO term and just the 2nd of her career. Beginning the best way possible with a Redcliffe victory, it was a smart debut when sitting back in the pack she came with 1 run to sweep home to a 16m victory. This is a step up.

SPECIAL RESERVE (9) has placed in 2 runs back from a spell, the latest when sitting in the pocket trail over the 2138m when holding on for 3rd behind MAJOR LUCKY. The gate hurts, but she can place.

GINTIANO (2) sat back in the pack last start over the middle-distance and came with a strong late sprint to arrive for a 5m victory. Working hard from gate 7 the start prior, she will be in the fight.

SELECTIONS: TODAYS HERO (1), KIT KATS CHAT (3), SPECIAL RESERVE (9), GINTIANO (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

JUST ONE GOOD ONE (5) aims up for the hat-trick after wins at his past 2 over the mile and then the 2138m here last time. Sent to the front last start, he kept an even tempo and was bale to last to claim a narrow win. He steps it up here but with winning form he can look for the threepeat.

SIGNORINA JUJON (8) will be needing a slice of luck from a tricky gate but if the gaps arrive in time, she can certainly be in the mix. Sent for a break after the Redcliffe 3YO sales contest when finishing 12m from the smart REGULUS, she has trialled in good order and will be probing for space.

THE RAGNBONE MAN (6) will take good confidence from his latest outing when breaking the maiden tag. Settled back in the pack he swept home strongly to claim a 9m victory and can build off that.

FORTES IN FIDES (9) features in a stable switch, joining the Kylie Rasmussen team. Buried away against the pegs last start, he found the line we behind GETARATTLEON and stays under notice here.

SELECTIONS: JUST ONE GOOD ONE (5), SIGNORINA JUJON (8), THE RAGNBONE MAN (6), FORTES IN FIDES (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2-6-8-9

RACE FOUR

MAJOR LUCKY (2)
went to the front over the 2138m here 2 starts back and from the front controlled the tempo to score a 3m victory. Looking to make it 2 from 2 here at The Creek last start he was leading them up, but was gunned down in the closing stages. He can bounce back here.

DAPPER (1) rolled to the breeze last start and was racing tough and in for the fight when finishing 6m in arrears. He found the line nicely 2 starts back when buried in the run after starting from inside the 2nd line and with the cosy trip on offer here will be dressed and ready to dance.

MAJOR GENERALJUJON (6) took on a qualifier last start when striking trouble but still chasing gamely behind the talented TENNYSON BROMAC. Despite the tough gate he is racing well enough to offer a challenge.

KURAHAUPO GAMBLER (8) will have the early options as the lone 2nd line runner and can work off in needed. He has had some tough gates of late but with the right run in transit can podium here.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR LUCKY (2), DAPPER (1), MAJOR GENERALJUJON (6), KURAHAUPO GAMBLER (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR LUCKY (2) to win

RACE FIVE

SOULWRITER (2) worked into the 1x1 trail last start over the middle-distance trip and was closing in good order to be within 3m of the winner IM NO OUTLAW. Beaten a similar margin from the pocket trail 3 starts back, she can look to take up the lamp lighting duties here and can dictate.

MATRON JUJON (9) took on mares company last start when holding on for the bronze behind JUSTALITTLETORQUE. Beaten by a wide gate the start prior when snagging back to look for the short-cuts, she can look to get the right trail through here and issue a challenge.

SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (1) sat back in the pack last start from  2nd line gate when hitting the line in nice style to grab the bronze. His effort the start prior was tidy and with the right trip can be sniping.

FEELINGFORARAINBOW (6) sat off the tempo last start and with a well-time finish was able to swoop home over the top to score. Limiting the early burn will see him have something to offer.

SELECTIONS: SOULWRITER (2), MATRON JUJON (9), SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (1), FEELINGFORARAINBOW (6)
SUGGESTED BET: SOULWRITER (2) to win

RACE SIX

In a race where the 2138m trip could prove a struggle for quite a few of the contestants, HEEZ PERFECT (10) might just be the one. Forgiving his last run and putting it down to 2nd-up syndrome where he didn’t fire a shot, his 1st up run was strong over the mile and if he gets it right, can prove tough to stop.

TORQUE FEELS GOOD (4) sat back in the pack from a 2nd line gate last time out and was tracking home in good order over this trip to be 6m from the winner. She didn’t have the zip when the speed went on 2 starts back, but if settling close enough she can be in the mix in a race full of chances.

SIR MACADOR (9) is yet to win in Qld and last start was forced to roll the sleeves in the breeze when fading out in the stretch. This might just be a shade easier and with the right trip can feature.

IM TOOT (8) went too hard in front last start when setting a sizzling tempo over the mile and the effort saw him fade out. If he can get a soft trip against the pegs, he might have something to offer.

SELECTIONS: HEEZ PERFECT (10), TORQUE FEELS GOOD (4), SIR MACADOR (9), IM TOOT (8)
SUGGESTED BET: HEEZ PERFECT (10) to win

RACE SEVEN

MAJOR CURRENCY (6) will take good benefit from his latest start when returning from a freshen. Easing across from gate 7 to find position he was closing out in good style to be 6.5m from the winner TENNYSON BROMAC in a qualifier. 3rd at his previous 2, he is crying out to land an alley.

CRUZY DUDE (5) shoots for the hat-trick to keep his AP record at 100% after wins at his past 2 from 2nd line gates. Buried in the run last start, he attacked the line strongly when finding space to claim a qualifying victory. Tough in the breeze the start prior, he might need to roll the sleeves again.

AQUA MISS (7) eased back from gate 5 last start but was finishing strongly when getting within a head of victory. Placed in all 3 runs since winning, look for her chiming in late.

OUR LITTLE DIGGER (8) resumes from a freshen after finishing with the silver behind BEE GEES BANDIT last time out. With a smart closing sprint, his chances rest with how far back he is shuffled against the poles.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR CURRENCY (6), CRUZY DUDE (5), AQUA MISS (7), OUR LITTLE DIGGER (8),
SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR CURRENCY (6) each-way

RACE EIGHT

This race poses the question can the class beat the map. The class runner is BODHI TREE (7) who will be further tightened from his latest appearance when returning from a freshen. Settling in the running line from the 2nd line gate, he was sound to the line. Taking on FFA company the start prior, this is within reach.

Leading the charge for the map followers will be STAR OF MONTANA (1) who looks set to secure the perfect trip off the ace. Starting a red figure fav last time out, he couldn’t reel in STOMPEM who was able to control in front. A winner at his 4 previous starts, he will be ready to unleash his sprint.

CASINO TOMMY (9) steps out of the claiming ranks in his 1st start for the Nathan Dawson team. He took them all the way last start in good style in setting a new PB and won’t be far away here.

LETS CUT LOOSE (4) returned his best run for some time last time out, settling near the rear and swooping home hard in the stretch when only 2m off the winner. He can be chiming in again.

SELECTIONS: BODHI TREE (7), STAR OF MONTANA (1), CASINO TOMMY (9), LETS CUT LOOSE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: BODHI TREE (7) to win
