RACE TWO

IDEAL WORLD (1) was brutal 1st up back in Qld when joining the Narissa McMullen barn. After 5 months off the scene, he returned over the mile, with the lamp lighting duties coming at the expense of a sub 27 opener. With arrows still in the quiver, he cruised home to a PB 1.53.2 in scoring by 8m. The only query is the 2138m, but he can answer those questions.

IMASPORTSSTAR (2) made a costly error last start when trailing them in. Placed his previous 2 starts, he was within 1.5m of the subsequent winner GAME SET MAJOR at his previous start when using the passing lane from gate 1. Only a neck away 3 back behind UNCLE JORD, he can tuck in to feature late.

MAJOR MUCHA (11) has been responsible for some eye-catching efforts in recent starts, the latest here on Tuesday when working home from a rearward position after retreating from gate 7. He can chime in late again here.

HANDSOME HERO (4) was a dominant winner here last start when doing all the heavy lifting outside the leader and pulling clear to score over this trip. He will be in for the fight and can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: IDEAL WORLD (1), IMASPORTSSTAR (2), MAJOR MUCHA (11), HANDSOME HERO (4)
SUGGESTED BET: IDEAL WORLD (1) to win

RACE THREE

The reigning Horse of the Year COLT THIRTY ONE (7) returns from a brief let-up after hitting the board in every start through the revised winter. Rounding out the prep when runner-up to KID MONTANA after being buried in the run, it had followed a tough 3rd when only 1.5m away and 3 back he was runner-up in the track-record equalling effort of the firing CRUZ. The gate stings 1st up.

JUSTALITTLE TORQUE (3) found the 1x1 trail last start when runner-up to ASHLEY LOCAZ. That was a nice return from a let-up after the 2680m was a bit out of reach 2 starts back. Charging late to claim the Fleur De Lil Ladyship 2 starts back, she will strip fitter and with early speed can find the right position to challenge them here.

KID MONTANA (9) has been landing barriers that have made it tough for his chances, yet he continues to return some solid performances. Too far back after retreating from gate 7 last start, he was strong late behind ASHLEY LOCAZ. He can feature in this.

MISTER BRAZIL (4) went back-to-back here when claiming wins at both the mile and 2138m trips. Taken back to Menangle last start, he worked hard in a scorching 1.51.4 over the 2300m, fading under the toll. Back in Brisbane, look for a strong performance.

SELECTIONS: COLT THIRTY ONE (7), JUSTALITTLE TORQUE (3), KID MONTANA (9), MISTER BRAZIL (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

This is a front-line bursting with speed, and it looks willing early. With that scenario, SMOOTH SAILOR (4) can look to tuck in behind the speed early and hope they are sapped to make a closing play. Claiming a qualifier last start when finishing over the top of them in strong time, it followed a passing lane 2nd to STOMPEM. He will have the spinnaker up in the stretch.

HEART OF COOPER (9) sat off the tempo here last week to make the closing shot a winning one when powering home in the closing stages to land the loot after being wide around the final bend. Luckless the start prior when searching for gaps, he can settle in behind again and challenge late.

MAFUTA VAUTIN (1) has the early speed to land in a prominent position and with those options can be in a striking position. Closing strongly 2 starts back from the inside, look for him probing the gaps.

WINKANDITSOVER (2) claimed a mid-week contest over the mile last time out when making the most of the ace to take them all the way, including a sharp last 800m. At his best when in front, he gets his chance from the gate to dictate, can he fight them off is he question.

SELECTIONS: SMOOTH SAILOR (4), HEART OF COOPER (9), MAFUTA VAUTIN (1), WINKANDITSOVER (2)
SUGGESTED BET: SMOOTH SAILOR (4) to win

RACE FIVE

GAME SET MAJOR (10) made the most of his gate last start to take them all the way over the 2138m trip. After 3 sub 30 panels, he put the contest out of reach in a turn and burn 26.7 closing panel in claiming a comfortable 7m victory. That followed a similar last panel blitz to claim his qualifier and despite gate 10, he can bundle them out to complete a straight sets form card.

ELMS CREEK (1) was soon buried in the run from inside the 2nd line last start and with the tempo controlled in front was needing luck to find the gaps. A passing lane winner here 2 starts back when taking the trail from gate 1 and then finishing hard up the inside to score, he can look for a repeat.

BRIDGET BLUE CHIP (3) returns from a break and joins the Lachie Manzelmann barn. Mid-field when 9m from the winner JUSTALITTLE TORQUE in the Fleur De Lil last time out when leading them up, she has opened the pipes with a recent trial and is in the hunt 1st up.

STOMPEM (8) ran some nice closing panels last time out from back in the pack to chime in and grab 4th when 6m from the winner LOVE MY SISTER. Mid-field 2 starts back when looking for a hat-trick of victories, he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: GAME SET MAJOR (10), ELMS CREEK (1), BRIDGET BLUE CHIP (3), STOMPEM (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 10 / 1-3-8

RACE SIX

CONVAIR HUSTLER (3) settled in the pocket trail 2 starts back and was best of the chasers behind the clear out leader and winner IDEAL WORLD. Finding the running line from gate 3 last start, he was only 3m from the winner in a blanket finish and from this gate looks to find his chance to cash-in.

CALLMEDEMARO (1) was a winner here on Monday when finding the 1x1 trail from the 2nd line, finishing over the top of them to claim the prize. Leading them up over the Redcliffe sprint trip 3 starts back, he was gunned down in the closing stages as a red figure fav. The options appeal.

TACTICAL RESPONSE (5) did plenty of work in the run last start from this gate to find position with the effort taking its toll as he faded late. Closing out nicely the start prior behind SMOOTH SAILOR, limiting the early burn can see him feature.

JILLIBY GIZMO (10) put up a brave effort in defeat here 2 back when setting a sharp tempo out in front, only fading late to hold on for the silver. Buried from inside the 2nd line the start prior, he backs up from a tricky gate on Thursday and is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: CONVAIR HUSTLER 3), CALLMEDEMARO (1), TACTICAL RESPONSE (5), JILLIBY GIZMO (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

KURAHAUPO GAMBLER (1) has been in nice touch without converting the effort into reward recently. Easing back from gate 5 to settle at the rear last time, his closing splits were sharp when wide off the track behind JONAH JONES. Strong late the start prior from gate 7, he lands all the favours from this gate to capitalise.

KILLARA KAOS (2) was beaten by gate 7 last start when retreating early to find the pegs and look for short-cuts and luck. Forget his run 2 back when striking trouble, he was only gunned down in the closing stages here 3 starts back when setting the tempo in front. He can fire early bullets to challenge.

DEECAESAR (6) is having a rough time in landing a marble, some of those his own doing after starting manners evaded him. Wide off the track last start when chasing, he was only 5m away in mid-week company 2 starts back. He can feature in this line-up.

SQUIRE (10) may have finished closer with a smoother passage last start when 4m in arrears of the winner. Runner-up 3 starts back when setting the speed, he has the tough gate but should appreciate this contest.

SELECTIONS: KURAHAUPO GAMBLER (1), KILLARA KAOS (2), DEECAESAR (6), SQUIRE (10)
SUGGESTED BET: KURAHAUPO GAMBLER (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

The Final of the latest edition of the Marburg to Albion series looks an open affair where despite landing the car-park gate, ALLSTAR SEA (7) might just be able to sneak away with the loot. Proving too strong in his heat victory in a slick last 800m, it followed a late closing half-neck 2nd at Redcliffe. If able to position cheaply, he is worth a chance.

OUR RIDGY DIDGE (2) has placed his past 5 in succession, the latest when runner-up in his heat after being locked in behind the leader and probing for gaps that didn’t arrive. Locked away 3 back on the pegs 2 starts back when 6m from REMEMBER ME NOW, he has the gate advantage in his favour.

ALL GOOD WALLY (5) shoots for the hat-trick after wins at Redcliffe and in his heat at Marburg where he won the early speed battle and converted that to winning the race. Tough the start prior, he will be in the fight again in this.

ROCKNTINGIRA (6) took them all the way to claim his heat when sent out a red figure fav and doing it easy in claiming a 4m victory. Only 3.5m away in a 2nd division qualifier the start prior, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: ALLSTAR SEA (7), OUR RIDGY DIDGE (2), ALL GOOD WALLY (5), ROCKNTINGIRA (6)
SUGGESTED BET: ALLSTAR SEA (7) each-way

RACE NINE

Despite missing the placings for the first time this season at her past 2 starts, MADAMOISELLE JUJON (10) can look to overcome the tough gate here to bounce back on the board. Those past 2 have been where she has run into AMAZING DREAM and SMART AS CAMM BE and landed tough gates in each. Forced to work 3 starts back when only beaten a lip, she can arrive in this.

MACH TORQUE (7) made the most of a return to Redcliffe 2 starts back when taking them all the wasy from the ace in scoring a comfortable victory. Locked away from inside the 2nd line last start, she was strong in the closing stages for the bronze and despite another tough gate, can throw down a challenge.

TAJIE BABY (9) took on a 2nd division qualifier 2 starts back when doing some early work to find position when only 5m in arrears of the winner. A tough winner at Redcliffe last time, she has podium hopes.

SHEZ GRINNIN (2) angled to the pegs here on Tuesday when looking to offer late and not that far from KIWIS ARE FLYING. Probing for openings that did not arrive the start prior, she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: MADAMOISELLE JUJON (10), MACH TORQUE (7), TAJIE BABY (9), SHEZ GRINNIN (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MADAMOISELLE JUJON (10) to win

RACE TEN

OUR OVERANOVA (4) has been racing in good order without winning, placed his past 2 at the tapes and runner-up at his past 2 attempts from the mobile. Doing it the tough way when GREG THE GREAT carved a new track record over the mile 3 starts back, he has the gate advantage here to make them chase and from the front he is hard to gun down.

GREG THE GREAT (8) was off and around them from the 20m tape last week over the long trip when sent to the post as fav. Running out of steam he had to be content with 4th when giving up a 5m deficit. Strong to the line the start prior wide-out, he can look to get off the pegs early in this.

WEE MAN TROUBLE (7) was a winner over this trip 3 starts back when coming from the 10m tape, closing out strongly to take the prize. Attacking late from 30m last start, the gate stings but he will be charging.

LAVROS TEXAS (3) was locked away on the pegs last start when probing for openings and finishing 5m from the winner. A half-neck away the start prior, he can fire early bullets here to be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: OUR OVERANOVA (4), GREG THE GREAT (8), WEE MAN TROUBLE (7), LAVROS TEXAS (3)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR OVERANOVA (4) to win
