RACE TWO

MEGA STAR (5) was sent forward from the 2nd line last start over the AP mile where he was doing it the tough way outside the leader. With a strong mile and slick last 800m, he faded in the closing stages behind the big winner ROLL WITH ROCKY. Despite the tough gate, he can bounce back here.

REGAL NIGHTSHADE (7) has placed his past 3 in succession, the latest when working home in the closing stages to grab the silver behind COPPICE. Locked away here 2 starts back, he worked home soundly for the bronze behind FAVOURITEHIGHLIGHT and if the space arrives can challenge in this.

MUCHO GUAPA (3) has been freshened since her last appearance when tackling the 2040m trip and finishing 5m from the winner BETTOR SPORT. Facing 2nd line gates, her past 5 in succession, the improved gate is a plus.

THE WARP REACTOR (2) has been to the track 3 times since resuming from a spell and has landed the 2nd line on each occasion. With the improved gate and fitness, look for a sharper return here.

SELECTIONS: MEGA STAR (5), REGAL NIGHTSHADE (7), MUCHO GUAPA (3), THE WARP REACTOR (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MEGA STAR (5) to win

RACE THREE

BETTOR MEMORIES (5) was 1st up since returning to the Shannon Price team when tackling this trip from gate 1 last time out. Holding them out early, she was able to get through an easy opening half and then take them all the way. Fitter and more experienced, she can look to go back-to-back.

PROMISES MADE (4) will strip fitter from her latest start when returning from a break and asked to do it the tough way from gate 5 over the AP Mile. Proving too strong, she was able to see it out and claim a 2.5m victory. With the confidence from breaking the maiden, she can throw it down here.

HOLLIE (2) was not suited by gate 6 last time out when forced to retreat early and then was just too far back in the pack to issue a challenge. Fitter after 2 runs back from a break, she can settle closer.

TILDALYN (7) will require a slice of luck at some point from this gate as she looks set to be buried in the run. Easing from gate 5 before working home in nice order last start, her 2nd here 2 back had merit and she can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: BETTOR MEMORIES (5), PROMISES MADE (4), HOLLIE (2), TILDALYN (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

MISS CATALINA (1)
has been out of the winner’s circle for some time but may just have found the right conditions to rectify that here. Gate 6 has been her undoing at her past 2 when forced to retreat and then just positioned too far back. Not far from MADAMOISELLE JUJON 3 starts back, she is worth a ticket in an open event.

DOWNTOWN LUCCA (3) held the pocket trail from inside the 2nd line last time when using the passing lane to be 4m in arrears of the winner. Not much went his way here 2 starts back when 4m from the winner STORM GILBERT and from this gate he can look to issue the challenge.

FAST IS BETTOR (6) has been in the money at her past 3 starts but comes up with the tough gate here. Finishing over the top of them 2 starts back to score, she was charging home last start when beaten a neck and can be thereabouts once again.

GHOST GUM (2) released the speed from gate 1 here 2 starts back and was making a late play when only beaten a half-head. Not suite last start, he can fire early bullets here to feature.

SELECTIONS: MISS CATALINA (1), DOWNTOWN LUCCA (3), FAST IS BETTOR (6), GHOST GUM (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MISS CATALINA (1) to win

RACE FIVE

WANJIRU (2) has succumb to tough gates at her past 2 starts that have seen her finish down the line after being wide and forced to work in each. 3 starts back she was sent forward and able to find the front was punching deep into the stretch when beaten 2m. Beaten the same margin 4 back behind SOMEHOWSOMEWAY, she looks to have found the right conditions here.

A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (1) was 2m from the winner TORQUE ONETWOTHREE over the AP 2138m 2 starts back from gate 1. Taking the trail in that event, he looked to make a closing play when finishing close-up for the bronze. With early options here he looks set to get c challenging chance.

TOO GOOD FOR YOU (7) will be sweating on the 1 to look to control the speed, as that will position him one spot closer when the passing lane arrives. Too far back last start, he was a tough winner here 2 back and will be probing for gaps here.

GIZZMO (3) closed strong from back in the pack last start when 7m from the winner BONNIES CAM to hold the silver. Wide off the track the start prior, from this gate he can settle close and has claims.

SELECTIONS: WANJIRU (2), A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (1), TOO GOOD FOR YOU (7), GIZZMO (3)
SUGGESTED BET: WANJIRU (2) to win

RACE SIX

ARKADY (3) is working towards a maiden breaking win with placings at her past 3 in succession. Runner-up here 3 starts back behind the clear-out winner TASCOTT TERROR, she was then asked to roll the sleeves when grinding out a tough 3rd to BETTOR MEMORIES. 3m from PROMISES MADE last start, she can look to capitalise.

APACHE WHITESOX (4) returns to the Vic Frost barn as he resumes from a spell for another campaign. Doing it the hard way 2 starts back when 5m from the winner BARONE, he faded after a tough trip last start and was subsequently sent for a spell. Likely in need of the run, he can bob-up.

JILLIBY MONKEY (5) looked to have found his race last start when sent straight to the front over the AP mile. Looking to take them all the way, he could not fight off PROMISES MADE. The gate stings but he will be in the mix once again.

LEFTHOOKRIGHTCROSS (7) will be looking for some gaps and some luck at some stage to find the track to work into the contest. Fitter after 1 run back from a break, he will be probing here.

SELECTIONS: ARKADY (3), APACHE WHITESOX (4), JILLIBY MONKEY (5), LEFTHOOKRIGHTCROSS (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ARKADY (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

BREACH THE BEACH (1) lines up for a hat-trick of victories here and looks to have found the perfect conditions. Too strong from the breeze here 2 starts back when rolling forward and crushing them in a smart last 800m, he then finished best over the AP 2138m last start. The threepeat is on.

SWORD AND SHIELD (9) worked home strongly from back in the pack last start to grab the silver behind BREACH THE BEACH. A winner when sent forward from gate 5 here 5 starts back, he just can’t land a marble. Relying on some solid tempo, he will be making a closing play.

ONLY IN ROME (3) had been searching for an improved gate and finally found it last start. Trying to take them all the way from the ace, he was worried out of it by ITZ MY GENERATION. He will be in the fight again.

MIZZZ ADELE (5) tackled the AP 2138m last start when working home wide off the track to arrive for a smart win. Mid-field the start prior after being locked in behind the leader, she can chime in late.

SELECTIONS: BREACH THE BEACH (1), SWORD AND SHIELD (9), ONLY IN ROME (3), MIZZZ ADELE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: BREACH THE BEACH (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

BLACKJEWEL (8) has been around at AP at her past 3 and might just appreciate the return to the triangle enough to grab this. Using the passing lane to grab the bronze behind THE SECOND CHANCE 2 starts back over the mile, she was not suited over the 2138m last start. She can arrive for the prize.

WILLSINTOWN (7) is nearing another win when conditions suit after finishing runner-up at his past 2 appearances. Closing strongly last start to be a half-neck away from the winner, it followed a similar run and the same beaten margin. Needing some luck he will be probing for gaps in this.

ELLE JAY (2) was a Marburg winner 2 starts back when sent straight to the front and allowed to walk them early had the gas to fight them off late. Grabbed late in the stretch at AP last start, she will be gripping on.

MAKINMEFEELGOOD (6) has no favours from the wide gate here but can be forgiven for his last start when striking trouble. Runner-up the start prior, he can look to feature in this line-up.

SELECTIONS: BLACKJEWEL (8), WILLSINTOWN (7), ELLE JAY (2), MAKINMEFEELGOOD (6)
SUGGESTED BET: BLACKJEWEL (8) to win

RACE NINE

HAPPY PUBLICANS (9) has placed in 4 of his 9 starts as he searches for a maiden breaking victory. Runner-up at his past 2 starts, the gate is a stinger, but he still looks to have found the right race here. Tough in the breeze last start behind BONNIES A ROCKIN, he can open his account and it might be drinks on the Knickerbocker Hotel if he can arrive.

RINGOS A STAR (6) has no favours from the tough gate here as he looks to put his last start disappointment behind him. Runner-up at his 2nd career start to the smart looking ITZ MAJOR RICH, he made costly errors last start. At his 1st look at the triangle, he can be in the fight.

FORGIVE ME (8) was forced to race tough last start when grinding it out and finishing within 2m of the winner KATANA. Making errors her previous 3 in succession, she can be thereabouts.

ROCK STAR BABE (4) eased from gate 5 last start prior to working home in nice order. Fitter for the run after returning from a spell in that outing, she has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: HAPPY PUBLICANS (9), RINGOS A STAR (6), FORGIVE ME (8), ROCK STAR BABE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: HAPPY PUBLICANS (9) to win
