RACE TWO

The front-line tempo looks strong on paper and if they do go at it early, it could be left to a swooper to take the closing shots. BURMACH (8) has placed at his past 2 starts, the latest when finishing late for a 2m margin behind the leader and winner. Charging late from back in the pack after retreating early 2 starts back, he can take an open contest.

LISA LINCOLN (5) was shooting for the hat-trick last start when buried on the pegs from inside the 2nd line. Using the passing lane, she was strong to the line in grabbing the bronze behind ITZ MY GENERATION. Sent to the breeze and proving too tough for them here 2 starts back, she can throw it down again.

LORIMER LADY (1) has the options here as she possesses good speed off the arm and secures her best gate since arriving in Qld. This is easier than her past 2 outings and the gate is a huge plus.

RANIERI (6) arrives in Qld to have his 1st appearance for the Dixon stable, his past 2 outings when down the line, albeit in slick time at Bendigo and Ballarat. The wide gate stings 1st up, but he stays under notice.

SELECTIONS: BURMACH (8), LISA LINCOLN (5), LORIMER LADY (1), RANIERI (6)
SUGGESTED BET: BURMACH (8) win/place

RACE THREE

SWORD AND SHIELD (6) made an error last start when squeezed up that proved costly and ended his chances. The start prior he was working home nicely from back in the pack when 5m in arrears of the winner BREACH THE BEACH and 3 back was runner-up to that same winner. The gate stings, again, but this looks within his reach.

DONNY JONES (8) is not far away from another win when the conditions suit after finishing runner-up at his past 2 outings. From gate 9 last start he worked home wide out to grab the silver behind A KERRY MAN. Gunned down after leading from gate 5 the start prior, with the right trip he can challenge.

JOVIAL JULIE (1) will be tightened from her latest outing when returning from a spell. Finding the pocket trail from gate 2, she was sound to the line. With options from the gate, she can feature.

TRUNKEY DIGGER (4) was chasing gamely last start to grab the silver behind the big winner OUR UNCLE JIM. Forget her run 2 back when making an error, she can be chiming in late.

SELECTIONS: SWORD AND SHIELD (6), DONNY JONES (8), JOVIAL JULIE (1), TRUNKEY DIGGER (4)
SUGGESTED BET: SWORD AND SHIELD (6) to win

RACE FOUR

COULDNTELLYA (1)
will be further tightened from her latest start when 2nd up from a spell. Returning with a passing lane 3rd, her 2nd up run was full of merit when easing from gate 7 prior to finishing strongly to grab 3rd to LARRY LINCOLN when 5m away. With the options, she can arrive.

MUCHO GUAPA (5) has been runner-up at her past 2 starts since returning from a freshen. Sent around them early last start from the 2nd line, she was in for the fight when punching it out to hold 2nd behind TOO GOOD FOR YOU. Only a half-neck away the start prior, she can challenge here.

LIBERAL ARDEN (4) settled rearward from the 2nd line last start before working home wide off the track to grab the silver when 6m from the winner. Another placing looks on offer against these.

HIT THE TRACK (6) found his race last start when sent to the breeze over the 2040m trip and proving too strong held on for the prize. A beaten fav the start prior behind MONTANA LAD, he has rough claims form the wide gate.

SELECTIONS: COULDNTELLYA (1), MUCHO GUAPA (5), LIBERAL ARDEN (4), HIT THE TRACK (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

This looks a tricky event to open the main Quaddie so playing wide looks the way to attack. HOLLIE (8) has now had 4 runs back from a spell where she has been able to place in 2 of those. Only 3m in arrears of BETTOR MEMORIES 2 starts back, she was not far away last time. With even luck, this looks within reach.

ELSIES GIRL (5) found the right conditions here 4 starts back when finishing best to claim a 3m victory with a further 15m back to 3rd. Chasing home in good order at her next start, she was freshened and returned with a tidy 3rd. Not far away last start behind DANCINGINTHEDARK, she is in the fight.

DUKE (3) has not really fired a shot since arriving in Aus and after a spell has returned for 3 unplaced efforts. This looks a nice target to look for a sharper effort and from the gate can be in the mix.

ARCHILLES (9) returns following an extended break and has opened the pipes in good order for his return. A massive winner on debut, he has met some handy performers that have gone on with it at his next 4 starts. The gate hurts 1st up, but he stays under notice.

SELECTIONS: HOLLIE (8), ELSIES GIRL (5), DUKE (3), ARCHILLES (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

BOULDER CITY (6) has no favours from the wide gate but he looks to have the edge to overcome the gate in this line-up. Forget his last start where a costly error saw him banished to the trials. Earning the return when not asked for much, his win from gate 4 here 4 starts back was a tough effort and that type of return can see him take this.

BLACKJEWEL (2) held the 1x1 trail last start from gate 2 when saved for the closing shot, she was able to finish best to take the prize. A passing lane 3rd when 3m in arrears 4 starts back over the AP mile, she can settle handy to the action again here and can throw down the challenge.

TRENTLEIGH (4) has not been that far away in recent starts, finishing runner-up in 3 of his 5 starts since winning here 6 back. Working home from a rearward position last start, he can feature here.

GIGANTIC JASPER (7) started from this gate last time out over this trip when holding the pocket trail and holding on to claim the bronze. With the soft trip on offer, he has podium claims again.

SELECTIONS: BOULDER CITY (6), BLACKJEWEL (2), TRENTLEIGH (4), GIGANTIC JASPER (7)
SUGGESTED BET: BOULDER CITY (6) to win

RACE SEVEN

TILDALYN (5) was nearing victory after finishing the runner-up in 2 of her previous 3 starts heading into her latest assignment. Settling in the running line from gate 8 last tie out, she had bullets to fire in the closing stages when arriving to claim a 2m victory. The gate stings, but she can look to repeat.

MANOFLISA (8) was a winner here 3 starts back when holding the front from gate 1 and taking them all the way. Following that with a half-head 2nd when working home wide off the track, he was down the line last time after releasing the speed from gate 1. He looks to get a good trip to challenge here.

THANKHEAVNFORGIRLS (1) was asked to do it the tough way last start when sent to the breeze from gate 4 to work hard in the run before wilting. With an easier trip in this line-up, she can feature.

LEAPING LEO (7) has placed in 2 of his past 4 starts, both of those coming when following the pegs after starting from this same gate. 6m in arrears last start when 3rd, he will be probing the gaps.

SELECTIONS: TILDALYN (5), MANOFLISA (8), THANKHEAVNFORGIRLS (1), LEAPING LEO (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-5-7-8

RACE EIGHT

WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (9) started from this gate last start over the sprint trip when sweeping around them in the latter stages. Cruising home to a comfortable 13m victory, it had followed a pair of runs at AP where she found conditions out of reach. Relying on some tempo, she can repeat.

SISTER FEELGOOD (2) has faced some tough gates in recent outings that have hampered her cause, the latest from inside the 2nd line when angled away from the pegs early. Closing in good order 2 starts back over the AP mile, she has the gate to settle in a prominent spot and this looks a winnable contest.

BERTILS DELIGHT (8) held the pocket trail from inside the 2nd line here 4 starts back and with the soft trip found the space to finish over the top. This is easier than her last outing and she can chime in.

ITS YOU NOT ME (1) pressed on to find the front last start from gate 3 and after a steady middle half could not fight them off. With the option of the economical trip, he can be sharper in this.

SELECTIONS: WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (9), SISTER FEELGOOD (2), BERTILS DELIGHT (8), ITS YOU NOT ME (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

FORGIVE ME (4) was sent forward in the early stages last start from the 2nd line when asked to work hard outside the leader. Under the workload, she faded in the closing stages to be down the line. That had followed a tough run at AP when holding on for 2nd. From the gate, this looks her chance.

CENTRAL ARK (7) made an error last start in the G1 APG Final tailing the field as a result. Chasing home in the heats of that series behind the smart CHAMONIX, he should appreciate returning to Redcliffe for this assignment where he has 2 placings in 3 starts. Freshened, he is right in the fight.

IRAKLEIA (6) has no favours from the wide gate and has had some tractability issues in 3 starts since arriving in Qld. Earning a return ticket after a pair of recent trials, she can be thereabouts.

ROCK STAR BABE (3) did not have the smoothest run in transit last start when down the line which had followed a sound effort when returning from a spell. With added experience, she can feature.

SELECTIONS: FORGIVE ME (4), CENTRAL ARK (7), IRAKLEIA (6), ROCK STAR BABE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: FORGIVE ME (4) to win
