RACE TWO

KEARNEY LANE (3) didn’t have any luck last start and while she may not have been a winning hope, she certainly could have finished closer than she did with cleaner air. Better suited when able to race near the front she has been unsuited from tough draws recently and can look to capitalise here.

CROCODILE PRINCESS (8) met a slightly stronger line-up last start at AP and was too far back in the pack after sliding back from gate 5 to find position. That was her 2nd run back from a break and since arriving in Qld and further tightened from the outing can look to feature in this.

IM TOOT (9) found himself well back in the pack last start from a walk-up start and then was always facing a task. His effort as sound against a stronger field 2 back and he can look to place in this.

TASCOTT LADY (5) speared out to find the front from gate 3 last start and was only grabbed in the closing stages when 2.5m from the winner. She can look to press forward again and has rough claims.

SELECTIONS: KEARNEY LANE (3), CROCODILE PRINCESS (8), IM TOOT (9), TASCOTT LADY (5)
SUGGESTED BET: KEARNEY LANE (3) to win

RACE THREE

FLASHING GOOD TIME (2) found the 1x1 here 4 starts back after starting for the 2nd line and packed too many guns to score. Her run 2 starts back was a solid effort behind a stronger line-up when only beaten 7m. With good early speed she can look to make the most of the gate.

ON THAT DAY (6) pressed forward from the 2nd line last start and moved to the breeze where she was in for the fight in finishing 2nd. That was her 2nd run since arriving in Qld and taking further benefit from the run can get into the contest here and can challenge despite the bad gate.

TAYLAH STUDLEIGH (9) is on the back-up from an open race on Tues. She worked in the breeze at her Qld debut over the Redcliffe sprint trip and held on to finish mid-field.

WEASEL (8) can get a good run through at the start to settle in a handy position. He wasn’t suited last start when ending up too far back in the pack and can be sharper here.

SELECTIONS: FLASHING GOOD TIME (2), ON THAT DAY (6), TAYLAH STUDLEIGH (9), WEASEL (8)
SUGGESTED BETFLASHING GOOD TIME (2) to win

RACE FOUR

FRENCH GLOBE (3)
has been freshened since his last outing where he struck trouble in a 2nd division qualifier after being well supported. His run from gate 5 over the 1780m trip here 4 starts back was a tidy effort after working forward to the breeze and with good early speed is up to a race like this.

KYMS BOY (1) will be further tightened from his latest start when 2nd up from a long break. His return run had merit after being locked away in the run and last start wasn’t entirely suited from the walk-up and faded late. With the good alley he has options and will be in the mix.

STEVIE DEE (4) started from the 2nd line last start and if receiving better luck in transit would have gone close after only being beaten a head. This is no harder than that field and with even luck can feature.

GOLDEN YEAR (5) took on a qualifier last start and from inside the 2nd line was locked away on the pegs when working home strongly to be 5m from the winner JUMPING JOLT. He won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: FRENCH GLOBE (3), KYMS BOY (1), STEVIE DEE (4), GOLDEN YEAR (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

WATTLEBANK FLYER (5) was the winner of a similar type claiming race here 3 starts back when working home strongly wide off the track. He took on a much stronger line-up at his next run from the walk-up and did well when only beaten 8m. This looks well within reach and he gets his chance.

RORY MACH (6) started from gate 7 in a 2nd division band 5 race on Sat night and after snagging back early to look for short-cuts was only 9m from the winner LEXUS ON THE BEACH. That followed a solid 3rd when only 2m from SPIKE BROMAC and back to the claiming ranks will give this a shake.

RED ROCKER (1) settled in the pocket trail last start and faded out to be well beaten. Back to this type of claimer suits and with the early options from the gate can return a sharper effort.

KARLOO MAC (8) was forced to face the breeze last start which isn’t his best pattern and led to him fading in the closing stages. He will need some factors in his favour from the gate but can chime in.

SELECTIONS: WATTLEBANK FLYER (5), RORY MACH (6), RED ROCKER (1), KARLOO MAC (8)
SUGGESTED BET: WATTLEBANK FLYER (5) to win

RACE SIX

 MAMMALS MAGIC (4)
has been meeting stronger line-ups at AP in recent starts and heads into this with placings at her past 4 starts. Looking to take them all the way last start from gate 1 over the 2138m, she was only grabbed in the closing stages which followed a half-head 2nd. This looks her chance.

BROADWATER (7) will need his share of luck from this gate but if able to shunt into open space with track to work with can challenge. Buried in the run last start when chasing home the flying JUMING JOLT, he was only beaten a head the start prior. Never far from the action he can feature again here.

RANFURLY RULZ (1) was finding the line in good order last start when starting off the 2nd line and only beaten 7m behind TASSINI. He will need to hustle to protect the pegs but is right in the fight.

ELMAUR JOY (3) has good early speed and from this gate will be able to take a good shot. Doing some early work last start she went within a half-neck of victory and with the right trip can feature.

SELECTIONS: MAMMALS MAGIC (4), BROADWATER (7), RANFURLY RULZ (1), ELMAUR JOY (3)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-4-7

RACE SEVEN

ELMS CREEK (8) was in for the fight last start after facing the breeze and in a blanket finish wasn’t far from the winner CIRCLE LINE after doing the work. He found the line strongly over the AP mile 2 starts back and finding the right spot in this wide-open contest can look to finish them off.

GUTS (2) started from this alley last time out and took the 1x1 position when finishing mid-field behind the passing lane winner JACKS AT THE BEACH. Still looking for his 1st win for 2019, he can settle in a prominent position here and with this open for the taking might just be able to grab it.

THREE MUGS IN (5) will be fitter for his 1st Qld appearance where he led them up and was only collared late over the 2040m trip. The gate is a little tricky but he can be in the mix.

JUSTA DALE (10) caused a false start at the 1st attempt last time out and then at the 2nd attempt led them up and just faded the closing stages. This is a shade below what he has been meeting and he has place hopes.

SELECTIONS: ELMS CREEK (8), GUTS (2), THREE MUGS IN (5), JUSTA DALE (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

THERESACHANCE (1)
claimed a 2nd division qualifier 5 starts back when pouncing on the pegs from gate 2 and taking them all the way. Since that win he has been faced with wide gates where he has been unsuited when trying to make ground. With the improved gate he can look to capitalise.

LURAH (2) was snagged back from gate 6 last start and was working home in good order from a long way back. Finding the line to grab the silver 2 starts back, she can settle handy from this gate and with the right run in transit can look to throw down the challenge.

THE GUN ROCKSTAR (7) was locked away on the pegs from the walk-up start last time out and tracked home well when 5m from the winner FEEL THE REIGN. With the perfect trip he can feature.

KARINYA MULLY (6) has the tough gate to overcome here but will take good benefit from his Qld debut at AP last start. He attacked the line strongly when only beaten a neck and can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: THERESACHANCE (1), LURAH (2), THE GUN ROCKSTAR (7), KARINYA MULLY (6)
SUGGESTED BET: THERESACHANCE (1) to win

RACE NINE

GOTOTHEMOON (3)
started from gate 6 last start and after briefly looking to get forward was forced to retreat to find position. Working home in good order the run had merit when 5m from the winner to claim the bronze which had followed a tidy effort at AP. From an improved alley this looks his chance to cash-in.

FEELINGFORAMIRACLE (10) will strip fitter following his return from a spell where he was working wide off the track for a long way. His 2 runs prior to going for a break were solid runs and despite coming up with the tough alley here, there should be some good early tempo to aid his chances.

MICKEE CULLEN (6) slid across to find the 1x1 from gate 5 last start and worked home well to grab the silver over the 2040m trip. The gate hurts again but with the right run can be in the mix.

STUDLEIGH WILL (4) has been able to claim victory in 2 of his past 3 starts, both when able to lead throughout. He was gripping on last start when being ambushed late and can be thereabouts again.

SELECTIONS: GOTOTHEMOON (3), FEELINGFORAMIRACLE (10), MICKEE CULLEN (6), STUDLEIGH WILL (4)
SUGGESTED BET: GOTOTHEMOON (3) to win
