RACE TWO

COURAGEOUS LEO (1) should appreciate the return to the triangle where he has a tidy record of 5 wins and 5 minors from 17 outings. Not suited over the AP 2138m in stronger company in 2 of his past 3, his run at the mile had merit 2 back when 7m from the winner. With the options from this gate, he looks to get his chance.

MAJOR SCORE (2) is nearing a win when the conditions are right after placings at his past 4 in succession. From the pocket trail last start he was 5m from LIFES BLACK in a strong closing 800m. Caught wide early prior to snagging back, he hit the line in nice style 2 back and can be closing hard here.

ONE WISE MAN (7) returns to the Jack Butler barn and will be 1st up since returning. Not too far away in a 2nd division qualifier last time out, he looks set for a cosy ride and can chime in late.

THREO (3) stayed out of any early heat last time out prior to finding the line in nice order behind CRACKA STRIDE. With good speed off the arm, he can fire an early shot in this.

SELECTIONS: COURAGEOUS LEO (1), MAJOR SCORE (2), ONE WISE MAN (7), THREO (3)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-3-7

RACE THREE

SLIPPERY JADE (4) started from this gate last time out. Unable to find a forward position, she was snagged back prior to working home strongly to be 7m from the winner COMIGAL. Tough in the breeze the start prior behind MISS MONEYBAGS, she looks to have found the right conditions here.

LIVE ATOM (7) set the tempo in a 2nd division qualifier from gate 4 over the sprint trip when grabbed on the line, beaten a half-neck. Gunned down in the closing stages in a similar scenario 3 starts back, he will be locked away in this and just needs a rub of the green to slice through an opening.

MAYWYN A JUG ORTWO (2) hasn’t had much in landing a marble in recent starts and should enjoy a tighter alley here. Finding the line in nice order after being buried away last time, he can make a play here.

ULTIMATE AD (8) was 1st up for the new stable last start when he didn’t look comfortable and was facing a task from back in the pack against the tempo. With the right early trail, he can be sharper.

SELECTIONS: SLIPPERY JADE (4), LIVE ATOM (7), MAYWYN A JUG ORTWO (2), ULTIMATE AD (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SLIPPERY JADE (4) to win

RACE FOUR

He might have the outside gate to contend with, however SPONDOOLEY (6) has the experience and may have enough of an edge to overcome the impediment. The opposition is easier than his last hit-out when forced to cut the breeze and fading out. Within 6m of DATITUDE 2 starts back, this is within his grasp.

DONT CALL ME (2) found the front over the sprint trip before releasing for the trail last time out. Chasing hard, he held on for the silver behind HEADWIN, who he let go to the front. Not suited when forced to do it tough the start prior, he can fire the 1st shot and will throw down a serious challenge.

THE WARP REACTOR (7) will find this more to his liking after taking on a much stronger contest last time out when mid-field behind BLACKSADANCE. Beaten a head when nabbed on the wire over the 2138m 2 starts back, he will be probing for an opening.

WAVEDANCER (4) snagged back from gate 6 over the 2040m last time and couldn’t get into the contest. Facing a string of bad gates in recent outings, he has podium claims here.

SELECTIONS: SPONDOOLEY (6), DONT CALL ME (2), THE WARP REACTOR (7), WAVEDANCER (4)
SUGGESTED BET: SPONDOOLEY (6) to win

RACE FIVE

PATCHWORK JET (8)
took on the 2040m when obliged to roll the sleeves and do the heavy lifting last start. Not usually adept at that pattern, he was in for the fight when holding on for the silver in finishing 5m in arrears. With the right early trail, he finds a winnable contest to arrive over the top.

ALL GOOD WALLY (4) will find this a slightly easier assignment than his last outing when not too far away from FLO RYDA over the 2138m. He did the tough way 2 starts back when fading under the workload and with the right run in transit can look to ask some questions against this opposition.

A BETTER CHANCE (7) was stuck looking for position last start prior to snagging back. Closing out in nice style behind PRETTYCOMPACT, she can secure an easy trip and be searching for space in the stretch.

STORM GILBERT (6) had been racing in nice style, finishing in the money in 4 successive runs, including a maiden breaking victory. Banished to the trials for an error at his latest start, he earns the return and despite a wide gate has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: PATCHWORK JET (8), ALL GOOD WALLY (4), A BETTER CHANCE (7), STORM GILBERT (6)
SUGGESTED BET: PATCHWORK JET (8) to win

RACE SIX

PACIFIC COIN (5) was looking to roll forward last start and was given no favours when planted wide before being forced to snag back to the rear which ended his chances. Tough in the breeze from a wide gate at Marburg the start prior, he can look to press forward and looks to get his chance in this line-up.

COUNTRY RUN (3) should take some benefit from his latest outing when resuming from a freshen. Making an error early, he as able to re-set and hold the leaders back before going on to claim the bronze. Settling handy to the action from this gate, he can throw down the challenge.

THE CASUAL GOOSE (2) has a tidy record in his brief career and should appreciate a return to the triangle in this company. Not too far away over the AP 2138m last start, he can feature in this.

JACKS GAMBIT (8) tried to take them all the way last start when setting a solid tempo but couldn’t see it out. With an easier trip trailing through here, a podium position looks on offer.

SELECTIONS: PACIFIC COIN (5), COUNTRY RUN (3), THE CASUAL GOOSE (2), JACKS GAMBIT (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

DOOLITTLE DANDY (4) is honing in another victory after finishing the runner-up at his past 2 starts. Eased to find position from gate 5 over the sprint trip here 2 starts back, he closed in good order when 2m in arrears. Striking some traffic last start, he looks to have found the right conditions here.

SHADYS DELIGHT (6) was able to sneak into the pocket trail at AP last start from gate 3 which made all the difference once the passing lane arrived. Darting through along the lane in the stretch, he arrived in time to claim a half-neck victory. The wide gate hurts here, but he can look to build off it.

MUCHO GUAPA (3) resumes from a spell to start her 4YO term after being put away back in July when not too far away over the AP mile. This is a big drop on what she had been meeting and with a tidy trial to prepare, stays under watch.

HAVING THE FAITH (8) will be 1st up in Qld for Terry Hancock, with the 4YO arriving a two-time winner in 19 outings. A beaten fav last start at Penrith, with the right run in transit he can feature.

SELECTIONS: DOOLITTLE DANDY (4), SHADYS DELIGHT (6), MUCHO GUAPA (3), HAVING THE FAITH (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 3-4-6-8

RACE EIGHT

KWASII (4) will appreciate this level of opponent after his past 2 at The Creek have been against much stronger types. Down the line last time behind STREET APPEAL after releasing the lamp lighting duties, it followed a 7th behind the in-form CAUTIVAR. With the speed to lead, he can dictate.

GLENEAGLE WARRIOR (8) struck trouble here 2 starts ago that ended his chances and sent him back to the stables without finishing. Last start from gate 3, he settled in the running line and was closing in good order when 5m from the winner CORINDHAP CREEK to hold 2nd. He can look to challenge.

MODERN THOUGHT (3) had to do it the tough way last start when parked in the chair, yet she didn’t shirk the task and was fighting to the wire when 3m from the winner. She won’t be far away again.

INCITER (7) started from this gate last start and was soon off and around to work his way to the lead. Tiring in the closing stages to be 8m from the winner, he can get away from the pegs again in this.

SELECTIONS: KWASII (4), GLENEAGLE WARRIOR (8), MODERN THOUGHT (3), INCITER (7)
SUGGESTED BET: KWASII (4) to win

RACE NINE

It has been a while between celebratory drinks for CHEYENNE AUTUMN (2) despite landing some good barriers in search of another victory. Settling in the 1x1 trail last start, she chased home to claim the bronze. Luckless the start prior from the pocket trail, she might just find a spot to tuck in here and arrive for the prize.

PERFECT FEELING (1) has been runner-up at his past 3 in succession on this track over this trip. On each occasion he has set the tempo only to be gunned down on the line. Worried out of it last start by CHUMP CHOP, he will look to protect the poles again from the ace and will be gripping on.

CHUMP CHOP (8) was building towards his 2nd career win after some handy efforts, including a 3rd when 3m from the winner. Grinding it out last start to claim the prize, he can feature again.

PEGGY STARDUST (3) was away form the inside of the 2nd line early last start to work around them and sitting in the chair, was not far from the winner WHATELEY, who has since won again. She can have an early look here.

SELECTIONS: CHEYENNE AUTUMN (2), PERFECT FEELING (1), CHUMP CHOP (8), PEGGY STARDUST (3)
SUGGESTED BET: CHEYENNE AUTUMN (2) to win
