RACE TWO

VIENNA BOY (3) has been a regular on the Saturday night circuit, tackling qualifiers week-in week-out. Taken back from gate 7 last start he was positioned on the pegs and went luck hunting when running into dead-ends. Back to this grade he looks well-placed and gets his chance to breakthrough.

MORESCO (2) found the 1x1 trail in a mares qualifier last start when hitting the line soundly to be 6m from the winner. Too far back when the race was controlled in front the start prior as BETTOR ROBY landed the prize, she can show some early hustle here to make a challenge for the prize.

OUR RIDGY DIDGE (7) is used to starting off the track after landing this gate for the 4^th time in his past 5 attempts. Weaving a passage home last start after retreating early, he can chime in again.

HOT ROD HEAVEN (9) was best of the chasers here 3 starts back when runner-up to THE HERVEY BAY and followed that with a 2^nd to LEFT A TERROR. With the right trail he is right in the fight here.

RACE THREE

CHAMONIX (10) returned from a spell when making a closing dive from gate 6 to get within a pimple of the winner, LOVE YOUR WORK. Sent forward from the five-hole last start, he rolled the sleeves and was too gritty to score a strong victory. The 10 is not ideal, but he looks to have the class.

SWEET LOMBO (1) has been plagued by tough barriers this campaign and finally lands a good gate to take advantage from. Working home soundly to grab the bronze last start here over the mile, he had placed his previous 3 on the bounce at Redcliffe. The gate is a huge assistance to his chances.

BARKWAY ARNOLD (5) was shooting for a hat-trick of victories last start to remain undefeated in QLD when down the line as a beaten fav. Finding dead ends all the way, he can gain redemption.

MY ULTIMATE BONDI (8) tackled the 4YO APG heats last start when gate 7 made it tough. Sent forward and working hard in the run, he was faded late under the toll. The softer trip here suits.

RACE FOUR

Game in defeat last start after an early error, BIG WHEELS (7) faces the ODM embargo after the mistake. Re-calibrating and then sent forward, he took up the running over the 2138m but could not hold off the closing challenge of JUSTA LITTLE BIT. Fitter, he can bounce back with vengeance here.

ROYAL OBSESSION (1) was a winner from gate 10 here 3 starts back when sent forward to face the breeze and then grind out a tough win. Closing strongly from the 2^nd line at his next start when only 4m from the winner, he was luckless last start behind JUSTA LITTLE BIT. The improved gate is a huge plus.

YEP GOT CHOOOKS (9) features in a stable switch with Trent Dawson having good success with horses previously trained by Chris Frisby. Resuming from a spell, he stays under notice 1^st up.

OUR BALOU (6) tackled a qualifier over the 2138m trip last start when settling in a rearward position. Making a strong closing challenge to grab the silver behind RAGNARR, he can chime in here.

RACE FIVE

RANCHO MAN (1) started from this gate last time out and after being crossed early was then buried 3 back in the wash-up. Runner-up at both previous starts including a strong closing raid when 2m from subsequent winner MAYWYN TROUBADOR, he can hustle here and with limited pressure look to dictate.

HIGH ON MONTANA (6) has no favours from this wide gate but he is going well enough to throw down the challenge to them. Faced with 2^nd line barriers at his past 2 starts, he was luckless 2 runs back when probing for openings that did not present. Strong to the line 3 starts back, he is in the fight.

DELIGHTFUL REASON (9) was runner-up here 2 starts back when firing off the arm from gate 3 to set the tempo before being collared in the latter stages. Striking trouble last start, she can feature here.

ROCK THE HOUSE (10) was the victim of a scrimmage that ended his chances last start. Hitting the line in nice order the start prior when 2^nd to JAGGERS SWAGGER beaten a half-head, he can chime in.

RACE SIX

ITS MR CLOONEY (1) has been kept fresh since his last start when tackling the Marburg Goldstrike Final. Stepping cleanly in that Final, he worked to the front and was trying to hold them off when setting a solid tempo but could not see it out. A heat winner when 1^st up Aus in that Series, he can take advantage of the gate.

RAANI (10) was 1^st up in Qld last start when doing her share of early work to secure position. Making a strong closing play, she was within 2m of the winner. That came off the back of a smart preparatory trial and although she garners no favours from this alley, she can be swooping late.

GOLDEN SAND (7) has been racing in nice order as he searches for his 1^st victory in Qld, placing in 4 of his 8 starts since arriving. Tough from the breeze last start when beaten a neck, he will need to be gritty again here.

DESPONDENT (3) had the early speed to find the front last start before releasing and then shuffled to 3 back as BIG WHEELS move up to control the speed. Finding his race here 4 starts back, he has podium claims.

RACE SEVEN

GOLIGHTLY (2) is really hitting his straps and lines up here to make it 5 on the run. A strong winner from back in the pack at Marburg when wide off the track 3 starts back, his past 2 here at the mile have seen him fire out and dictate to comfortable victories. With gate 2 it looks a case of rinse and repeat.

JERADAS DELIGHT (8) will be further tightened from her latest outing when 2^nd up from a spell. Returning in a mares event from inside the 2^nd line over this trip, she was searching for the gaps when chasing home behind the airborne SCARLET BABE. Only 2m away in 2^nd last start behind that same winner, she will be probing for space here.

RIVERLEIGH ROCKET (1) has been to the track twice since resuming from a spell and faced tough gates in each. He lands the alley here for the cosy trip before taking a last shot to earn some place money.

STRADDIE (10) has been a shade below his best in 2 runs since resuming from a spell, the latest when working hard from gate 5 before wilting in the latter stages. Limiting the workload can see him return a sharper effort here.

RACE EIGHT

BARBOO (8) is yet to find the winners enclosure here at The Creek after 17 attempts, but might just have found the right conditions to rectify that stat. Back in the pack last start when making some closing ground for 3^rd over the Redcliffe 2040m, he should get the perfect trip here to take the snipers shot.

LITTLEDEE (1) was sent forward from gate 4 last start and content to race first over proved too strong in claiming a narrow victory. A similarly tough effort saw her score here 3 starts back and with the gate advantage here has the options to make a challenge for the prize in this.

A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (2) was sent forward last start to face the breeze and was in for the fight when holding on for the bronze behind WHATELEY. He might need to grind it out here but has claims.

BEEJAYS DELIGHT (9) had to ease from gate 3 to secure position last start and was soon buried in the run and relying on some luck. Hitting the line nicely the start prior, he can be chiming in late here.

RACE NINE

Yet to put it all together since arriving in Qld, PRINCESS FAITH (7) was huge in defeat here last start. Stepping cleanly for the first 150m, she then made a wild break and appeared to lose all chance. Chasing hard to catch the field, she continued to give when 3m from DWON UNDER RORS. If she can trot throughout, she will be tough to stop.

JANSSON (10) made an uncharacteristic error 2 starts back and his chances expired before they even started. A winner 3 starts back from a big 60m impost when finishing over the top, he was strong to the line here on Tuesday in a stretch duel with GUNNER when he was shot at the wire. He can throw it down again.

IMA CALVERT ROSE (6) takes a while to wind up after she steps, and last start was sent to the post as fav when midfield to DOWN UNDER RORS. Strong late after an early error 2 runs back, she can feature.

TOUCHE DE FLING (3) was safely into stride last start and was able to roll to the front and then tried to see it out when settling for the bronze. With a safe start she can again be in the mix.
