RACE TWO

A return to this grade of contest should be ideal for MAJESTIC SPEED (2) who found the Saturday metro company out of reach last start and made even tougher with an uncharacteristic error. A handy effort in a McNeil heat three starts back, from the 10m tape she looms large.

CARNERA (5) came out galloping last start and was soon locked away against the poles and from there was never in the contest. Just 2m in arrears of the winner from the mobile two starts back, he should relish a return to the five-furlong deck and finds the right race to throw down a challenge.

KAPAI (4) was beaten by the second line mobile start last time when finishing midfield. Not too far from the winner the start prior, he hit the board in 8 of his previous 9 and can feature again here.

JACCKA WATCH (1) was asked to do some work in the run two starts back and was game to hold on for the bronze. Fading last start, he has the front line to himself and gets an opportunity to feature.

SELECTIONS: MAJESTIC SPEED (2), CARNERA (5), KAPAI (4), JACCKA WATCH (1)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJESTIC SPEED (2) to win

RACE THREE

After mixing his form on the tighter tracks, a return to the big oval can be the catalyst for MI FURIOSO TORO (7) to recapture winning form. A winner in 2 of his 4 here at The Creek, the 2 misses were when receiving no luck whatsoever in the run. Despite the gate, he can turn it around.

FORTES IN FIDE (5) was soon buried away from inside the second line at Redcliffe last start but found the space and speed to arrive for the prize. The gate is a little sticky, but he is in the mix.

RANCHO MAN (1) was too strong from the breeze at Marburg three starts back and was runner-up at his next attempt. Not suited off the second line last start, he has the gate to be in the fight.

ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (3) found the front last start from the four-hole at Redcliffe but could not repel the closing challenge of ROLLONX. Celebrating a sesqui-centenary of starts on this track, he can mark the occasion with a podium finish.

SELECTIONS: MI FURIOSO TORO (7), FORTES IN FIDE (5), RANCHO MAN (1), ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MI FURIOSO TORO (7) to win

RACE FOUR

After a pair of impressive victories on The Triangle, SUMOMENTSOMEWHERE (1) comes to headquarters for the first time in search of the threepeat. Overcoming the second line in both victories, he has the gate to spear off the arm and looks to deliver the hat-trick.

MUMMYS BOY (2) has placed at his past three in succession and slowly starting to get back near his best performances. Buried away on the fence last start in a qualifier here on Friday, he followed the fence home for the bronze. Settling handy from this alley, he can try to make a late challenge.

SPEAK WITH SAM (5) resumes from a spell after completing a quartet of successive victories last start. A Bathurst winner four back, he is undefeated in Qld and warmed up with a smart trial.

ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (6) was last seen back on Feb 12 when taking out a Saturday night race after leading throughout from gate 5. Runner-up the start prior when charging home, he is place hope.

SELECTIONS: SUMOMENTSOMEWHERE (1), MUMMYS BOY (2), SPEAK WITH SAM (5), ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (6)
SUGGESTED BET: SUMOMENTSOMEWHERE (1) to win

RACE FIVE

Starting her career with a debut victory, DELIGHTFUL LOU (4) had the closing speed to arrive for a narrow margin on this track. Runner-up at her second outing against the older horses, she resumes to kick off her 3YO season and with the right trip can make a winning return.

MELTON BEACH (7) comes up with the outside gate but should take good benefit from his last start when returning from a freshen. Starting from the second line, he was picking a few off late when 7m from BEACH MAGIC. Runner-up to TIMS A TROOPER two starts back, he can challenge.

MAYWYN MACDUFF (10) started from inside the second line last time out at Redcliffe when eased away from the poles early but could not go on with it. Gunned down in front the start prior, he is a place hope.

OUR AUNTY ASH (1) was beaten by a wide gate at Redcliffe last start when snagged back to secure position and then never received open space when needed. With all the options she can feature.

SELECTIONS: DELIGHTFUL LOU (4), MELTON BEACH (7), MAYWYN MACDUFF (10), OUR AUNTY ASH (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-4-7-10

RACE SIX

COPPERFIELD (4)
returns from a spell after last sighted back in January when chasing behind LOVE YOUR WORK. That was just a two-start prep following eight months off the scene and he has since trialled in nice order behind subsequent winners ADAM CROCKER and TIMS A TROOPER. With plenty of front-line tempo, he can produce some closing magic.

THE HERVEY BAY (1) eased to secure position last start and was making some nice closing metres when finishing 8m in arrears of the winner TEARAWAY DIAMOND. The inside alley is not the best position, but if he can get the space when needed, he can look to throw down the challenge.

HE SAID SHE SAID (5) makes his Qld debut for Graham Dwyer, his last start when finishing just 5m from the winner at Menangle after being buried in the run. Positioning cheaply from this alley will help.

HY VOLTAGE (2) was let loose from gate 6 here on Friday to find the front with the lam lighting duties costing a 26 flat opening panel. Stung from the burn in that, if he can get it easier in this, he will take some catching.

SELECTIONS: COPPERFIELD (4), THE HERVEY BAY (1), HE SAID SHE SAID (5), HY VOLTAGE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: COPPERFIELD (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

CHARLEVOIX (2)
was shooting for a hat-trick of victories two starts back when sent to sit parked from gate 7 and after the tough trip was unable to go on with it in the closing stages. Given a let up he returned at Marburg when beaten by the second line. Back to town, he has the chance to dictate.

MOTU AMETHYST (1) released the speed last start over the Redcliffe 2040m and was able to ease off the poles after losing some momentum but was never threatening. Chasing behind ALTA REVELERY when midfield the start prior, she has the options to make a challenge.

ILLBEWATCHING (3) was returning from a freshen last time out and lost the driver with 500m to travel. Runner-up at his previous two outings, he has podium claims from this alley.

FRANCO NANDOR (9) will be first up for the Jack Butler stable and opened the pipes with a handy trial hit out at Redcliffe. Following through to secure position from this alley, he can feature fresh.

SELECTIONS: CHARLEVOIX (2), MOTU AMETHYST (1), ILLBEWATCHING (3), FRANCO NANDOR (9)
SUGGESTED BET: CHARLEVOIX (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

Resuming over the Redcliffe sprint trip with a stylish victory last time out, AMAMI (7) was allowed to amble up outside the leader and proceeded to deliver a stinging first over crush in a strong last 800m split. Despite the outside alley, this looks to generate a solid tempo and he looks to have the versatility to capitalise.

PRECIOUS SARA (2) fired off the arm to find the front last start over the Redcliffe sprint trip when holding on for the silver as ALTA REVELRY grabbed her in the closing stages. With the early hustle to find the poles first, the options appeal for her to make a closing challenge.

I AM SPARTA (4) has been on the enigmatic side this season after four failures but turned it all around at Redcliffe on Saturday night when leading throughout in slick time. Can he go on with it?

BEACH MAGIC (6) was sent to sit parked last start from gate 4 and after a tough trip was unable to see it out. A winner in two of his previous three, he can look to feature here.

SELECTIONS: AMAMI (7), PRECIOUS SARA (2), I AM SPARTA (4), BEACH MAGIC (6)
SUGGESTED BET: AMAMI (7) to win

RACE NINE

Only lightly races with just the seven career starts, SO MUCH MORE (4) has now had two runs back from a spell and finished as the runner-up in both. Within 3m of his smart stablemate SUMOMENTSOMEWHERE when resuming, he bumped into the slick DANGERZONE second up.

ALTA REVLERY (9) has returned from a spell in top order with successive wins in both attempts, the latest when buried away early at Redcliffe before charging home to claim a smart win with 4m to spare. He is 1 from 1 here on the big deck and should secure the right trip to make a challenge.

BAKER CREEK (5) was much sharper last time out when second-up in Qld. Eased from the wide gate, she was strong in the closing stages behind SPEAK THE TRUTH for 2nd and should handle the 2138m.

ISOLATION (12) got it all wrong last start out of the machine that ended his chances. Looking to take them all the way the start prior, he will need to be wide here but can make a late play.

SELECTIONS: SO MUCH MORE (4), ALTA REVLERY (9), BAKER CREEK (5), ISOLATION (12)
SUGGESTED BET: SO MUCH MORE (4) to win
