RACE TWO

If the first race proved a tough one to dissect, it does not get any easier here. Stepping out at The Creek for the first time SAILALONG SINBAD (1) should appreciate the tight gate, his only good draw thus far in four Qld starts was when leading throughout over 2040m at Redcliffe. He can dictate.

CASH QUEEN (2) will trip fitter following her latest outing when resuming from a spell and hitting the line in nice order behind LAVAZZA after retreating to the rear from gate 7. Her form prior to the spell was tidy and with the good alley, she can be closer to the action to make a challenge.

JILLIBY JACKPOT (10) was stuck for position last start and forced to retreat when midfield but a long way from the winner. Runner-up the start prior, with the right cart home he can feature here.

ALLSTAR SEA (8) faced the outside second line gate at Redcliffe last start and was soon at the rear of the pack with it all ahead of him. The economical trip close to the speed here will be a big benefit.

SELECTIONS: SAILALONG SINBAD (1), CASH QUEEN (2), JILLIBY JACKPOT (10), ALLSTAR SEA (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SAILALONG SINBAD (1) to win

RACE THREE

Her numbers may not be overly inspiring but that probably is not a true read on the efforts SHEZ ALL STYLE (1) has been returning. Under 3m from the winner FRANCO NATHAN last start, she was beaten by a tough gate and the tempo the start prior. Hustling early, she finds conditions to strike.

CALVERT HOT SHOT (8) will be sweating on the 1 holding and with that scenario looking probable, he should be in the right position to make a closing play. Runner-up to MIGHTY GEORGE last start, a wide gate at Redcliffe dented his hopes two back. He will be coiled and ready.

ISOLATION (10) was defeated by gate 7 last start when forced to retreat for position and unable to get into the battle. A similar scenario from gate 12 the start prior, this looks a shade easier.

PEPPA BLISS (7) will strip fitter from her latest start when returning from a spell. Eased from gate 5 to the poles before running home in nice style, the wide gate stings her chances.

SELECTIONS: SHEZ ALL STYLE (1), CALVERT HOT SHOT (8), ISOLATION (10), PEPPA BLISS (7)
SUGGESTED BET: SHEZ ALL STYLE (1) to win

RACE FOUR

Returning from a spell off the back of a smart trial, MISTER DIAMOND (5) was given no favours in that first up effort from the second line at Marburg. Bouncing back to a second-up win in Saturday night company from the trail, the added fitness in this grade can see him look to go back-to-back.

THE IRISH EAGLE (2) was sent forward from gate 4 at Redcliffe two starts back and content to sit parked was able to graft out a gritty victory in slick time. The tempo was against him last start from back in the pack as JUDDY DOUGLAS carved it out in front and from this gate he can throw it down.

JUST DESSY (1) was an all the way Marburg winner three starts back from gate 1, pulling clear to a 9m margin. Down the line in a strong qualifier at his next start, a return to the ace alley is a big plus.

PRINCESS DANICA (8) claimed a mare’s qualifier two starts back when sweeping home from back in the pack in nice order. With the chance for an economical trip, she can be searching for the gaps.

SELECTIONS: MISTER DIAMOND (5), THE IRISH EAGLE (2), JUST DESSY (1), PRINCESS DANICA (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MISTER DIAMOND (5) to win

RACE FIVE

The map looks to be in the favour of MOTU AMETHYST (8) to hunt down her fifth win here at The Creek as she follows through on the back of the most likely leader. Taking a shot up the passing lane two starts back when grabbing the silver behind FRANCO NANDOR, she can be ready to snipe.

CHARLEVOIX (1) burrowed through from gate 5 to hold the front over the mile here two starts back and was trying to grip on when 5m from the subsequent winner FRANCO NANDOR. Not suited by the 2138m last start, a return to the mile from the good alley puts him right in calculations.

MAYWYN TROUBADOR (9) is a much better proposition on the front line to use his speed and unfortunately lands the second line for the third consecutive start. Despite the impediment, he is still a podium hope.

MONTEREY JACK (5) found the 1x1 trail from the second line last start and made a late dive to be just a half-neck in arrears of the winner. He might need to roll the sleeves here but can still feature.

SELECTIONS: MOTU AMETHYST (8), CHARLEVOIX (1), MAYWYN TROUBADOR (9), MONTEREY JACK (5)
SUGGESTED BET: MOTU AMETHYST (8) to win

RACE SIX

First up from a let up last week, GOLDIES A DELIGHT (7) should take further benefit from the appearance after leading throughout and gripping on for the narrowest of victories. Not given any favours from the outside paint, the added fitness and class can see her home second up.

MISTER REACTOR (3) will strip fitter from his first up effort when stepping out as a 3YO for the first time. After a smart trial in readiness for the return, he was eased from gate 7 over the mile before really attacking the line with gusto to be an eyelash shy of victory. With the improved gate, he looms large.

GOTTA GO MILKING (6) started from gate 1 last start when striking trouble yet was still able to grab the bronze behind SPEAK THE TRUTH. A Redcliffe winner the start prior, the wide gate stings.

R ELEVEN ART (8) made the most of the chance to lead at Redcliffe two starts back and was able to take them all the way. Buried in the run and never seeing space last start, he will be probing again.

SELECTIONS: GOLDIES A DELIGHT (7), MISTER REACTOR (3), GOTTA GO MILKING (6), R ELEVEN ART (8)
SUGGESTED BET: GOLDIES A DELIGHT (7) to win

RACE EIGHT

ALL THE FOURS (9)
was first up in Qld last start when stuck looking for position from gate 3, he was soon at the rear of the field. Making some good metres in the closing stages to grab the silver behind TEACHERS PET, he looks set to press through in the early stages. Tightened from that run, he can arrive.

WHERES TASCOTT (10) faces an ask from outside the second line but should be able to secure running line position cheaply. Wide off the track and strong to the line last start at Redcliffe when just 1m from the winner, she can look for the cart home to throw down the challenge.

THE CROM (3) was hitting the line in nice order last start at Redcliffe when grabbing the silver and from this gate can be settled close enough to the action to be a podium player.

FREMARKSINDI (2) has ventured to The Creek on six previous occasions for the return of one 3rd placing. Drawn to be prominent in this contest, she can be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: ALL THE FOURS (9), WHERES TASCOTT (10), THE CROM (3), FREMARKSINDI (2)
SUGGESTED BET: ALL THE FOURS (9) to win

RACE NINE

Despite facing the outside second line gate over the mile last start, TEACHERS PET (1) was able to power home over the top, pull clear and post a 10m winning margin. Nathan Dawson has developed an amazing rapport with this mare, with 6 wins in 7 drives and from this gate, they look hard to stop.

SONNY ORLANDO (7) has turned his form around in recent weeks and will go in search of the hat-trick of wins after posting margins of 32m and then 14m with the success. Both of those wins were on The Triangle, and he heads to town where despite the tough gate, the threepeat is achievable.

LAZY BLAZE (9) was asked to sit parked from gate 4 last start and after the tough trip, he faded to a midfield finish. Trailing through early, he has podium claims.

JOEY LINCOLN (4) made an error last start tat proved costly as he reset and was only 7m from the winner. Banished to the trials, he returns here and can feature with the right trip.

SELECTIONS: TEACHERS PET (1), SONNY ORLANDO (7), LAZY BLAZE (9), JOEY LINCOLN (4)
SUGGESTED BET: TEACHERS PET (1) to win

RACE TEN

We must wait until the last race for the anticipated return of last season’s star 2YO filly CAT KING COLE (8) who will make her first 3YO appearance. Last seen in August when under 3m from MY ULTIMATE LEVI in the APG G1 Final, her trials have been steady and with the second line options, she should be far too classy.

DELIGHTFUL LOU (6) pressed on from gate 4 over the mile two starts back and finding the front was then able to take them all the way for a 3m victory. Put out of play last start when striking trouble, she will be fitter here third up and looks the only danger to her star stablemate.

BETTYS GOLD CLASS (3) broke through for her first career victory two starts back at Redcliffe when second up from a spell. Kept fresh following a last start disappointment, she is a place hope.

MERIBEL (2) resumes from a spell after her last start maiden breaking win at Redcliffe. Beaten in red figures in her three previous starts, she can be close enough to look for a minor placing here.

SELECTIONS: CAT KING COLE (8), DELIGHTFUL LOU (6), BETTYS GOLD CLASS (3), MERIBEL (2)
SUGGESTED BET: CAT KING COLE / DELIGHTFUL LOU  8/6 exacta
