RACE TWO

GOING GREAT GUNS (5) will take good benefit from his return here on Saturday night where he was first up since July. Sent forward to sit parked from gate 4, he was working hard and just faded over the closing stages. Despite a sticky gate, he can look to get forward and capitalise.

MIDNIGHT SOMEWHERE (7) will be requiring a slice of luck at some stage from this gate to find the gaps. He is potentially going better than his returns may suggest, he just can’t seem to snare a rub of the green. Buried last start as AMAMI pulled clear, he will be probing for the openings.

PORTSEA PRINCE (6) was first up in over 18 months last time out when tackling the 2040m trip when finishing within 4m of the winner. The added fitness is a big plus as he builds into his campaign.

INDY JEWEL (1) angled to the poles from gate 8 over the 2040m here last start when taking a play up the passing lane to grab the bronze. With the trip in behind the speed, she can chime in again.

SELECTIONS: GOING GREAT GUNS (5), MIDNIGHT SOMEWHERE (7), PORTSEA PRINCE (6), INDY JEWEL (1)
SUGGESTED BET: GOING GREAT GUNS (5) to win

RACE THREE

SUZUKEE (7)
was the widest runner swinging for home last week after easing away from the pegs to make her charge into the contest when first up in 11 months. Really attacking the line in the closing strides to get within an eyelash of victory, she can be on the leaders back and added fitness helps.

MULLUM DOC (1) should appreciate a return to the front line after facing a string of tough gates throughout his brief career. Landing gate 5, 6 or 9 in eight of his starts, the only other start he has had was from gate 2 where he led throughout. He can look to make full use of the alley.

KING OF COOL (5) was first up for the new stable last start and resuming from over six months off when sent straight to the front to take them all the way. The gate stings his chances second up.

ETERNAL GOLD (3) will take great benefit from his last start where he was resuming from a break and asked to work hard in the run. Pulling clear to claim victory, he is right in the fight again here.

SELECTIONS: SUZUKEE (7), MULLUM DOC (1), KING OF COOL (5), ETERNAL GOLD (3)
SUGGESTED BET: SUZUKEE (7) to win

RACE FOUR

JOHNROD (9)
was sent forward from gate 8 to sit parked last start and was in for the fight when finishing as the runner-up behind the in-form TEACHERS PET. A winner here three starts back, he can do it the tough way and finds the conditions to look for another grafting victory.

DATSINAHURRI (8) was last seen in late February when sent forward to sit parked from gate 9 and was able to graft out a determined victory. That made it three wins in her past four starts and despite the tough second line gate, she can look to throw it down again.

MANY DELIGHTS (3) has been in good touch this season and cashed-in here two starts back when finding the front and despite running up the track was able to fight back. He has the gate to feature.

MOLLIDOR (2) resumes from a freshen after a last start 3rd here over this trip when taking the trail after finding the front in the early stages. With a similar trip she can chime in again.

SELECTIONS: JOHNROD (9), DATSINAHURRI (8), MANY DELIGHTS (3), MOLLIDOR (2)
SUGGESTED BET: JOHNROD (9) to win

RACE FIVE

IM LOKI (5) has proven costly at his past three starts where he has gone under as a red figure favourite on each occasion. Holding them wide from the ace last start, he could not repel the closing challenge of ETERNAL GOLD when forced to settle for 2nd. Despite the wide gate, he again looks to get the chance at redemption.

JUST ONE GOOD ONE (1) was a Marburg winner four starts back when locked away from inside the second line before finding the gaps to angle into the clear and arrive in the closing strides. Errors have proven costly at his past two starts and with the improved gate he can look to challenge.

CANNAN (2) went straight to the front last start at Marburg where he led the entire field home bar the winner HEARTBREAK who pulled clear at the top of the stretch for a big win. The gate helps.

FAIREACHDAINN (7) made the most of gate 1 last start when burrowing through to protect the poles and from the front was able to take them all the way. Likely hemmed away here, she will be probing.

SELECTIONS: IM LOKI (5), JUST ONE GOOD ONE (1), CANNAN (2), FAIREACHDAINN (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

MY ULTIMATE CLIPPA (2)
tackled the standing start 2200m trip at Marburg last start when finding the position behind the leader and holding on for the bronze behind the clear out winner SO AM I. Placed in three of his past five, he can settle handy to the action to make a play in an open contest.

EXPLANATION NOTED (8) only has the lone win to her name, breaking the maiden status here four starts back when able to dive through and take them all the way. Eased to find position last start from gate 4, she used the passing lane to grab the bronze behind NINA SIMONE and can challenge.

BETTING BARON (5) has the wide gate to negotiate but he can look to get handy to the action. A winner here three starts back when able to find the front and lead throughout, he is a place chance.

ROYAL PRINCESS (3) has faced some tough gates in her recent outings, trying to make ground from back in the pack. Runner-up here three starts back behind TRUE STEPPER, the improved gate helps.

SELECTIONS: MY ULTIMATE CLIPPA (2), EXPLANATION NOTED (8), BETTING BARON (5), ROYAL PRINCESS (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MY ULTIMATE CLIPPA (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

LE TISSIER (8)
eased to find position last start and was soon buried away and needing luck that never arrived yet he was still under 5m from the passing lane winner CALL ME KEITH. There looks to be a good tempo generated off the front line here which can see him arrive over the top.

LOVE YOUR WORK (5) is a four-time winner here on The Triangle, with one of those victories here two starts back when leading throughout in a qualifier. Game in defeat last start when sitting parked, he might need to roll the sleeves again here to throw down the challenge.

JUST ROKIN (4) was sent straight to the front here last start from gate 2 and once in control was able to take them all the way in sharp time. Tightened further from the run, she can feature.

CAPTAINS PICK (3) was beaten by gate 10 last start over the AP 2138m when settling in the running line and finishing midfield to GOOD AS IT GETS. His chances hinge on positioning cheaply.

SELECTIONS: LE TISSIER (8), LOVE YOUR WORK (5), JUST ROKIN (4), CAPTAINS PICK (3)
SUGGESTED BET: LE TISSIER (8) to win

RACE EIGHT

OYSTER STRIDE (8)
was heading up the three-wide train last start and continued to give all the way to the wire when finishing with the silver behind the dictating winner SAILALONG SINBAD. Close to THERESACHANCE the start prior, he might just be able to sneak home with this one.

JILLIBY JACKPOT (1) released the speed last start over this trip when returning from a freshen and finishing 5m in arrears of the winner MALINJANG. Gunned down when setting the speed here two starts back over this same trip, he comes up with all the options to capitalise.

ROCKSLIDE (9) was buried in the run when tackling a qualifier here two starts back when 7m in arrears of CAPTAIN NEMO. Buried last start, with the right cart into the contest, he has podium claims.

FIRE AND ICE (6) has no favours from the outside paint but has been hitting some nice areas in recent outings that include a win here three starts back. Strong to the line last start, he has claims.

SELECTIONS: OYSTER STRIDE (8), JILLIBY JACKPOT (1), ROCKSLIDE (9), FIRE AND ICE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: OYSTER STRIDE (8) to win

RACE NINE

JACKBKWIK (8)
finished 8m in arrears of the winner last start after not securing the smoothest run to the finish. Wide off the track two starts back at Marburg when nothing from the rear could make ground as LAVAZZA controlled the tempo, he can look to power over the top of them.

LAVAZZA (1) burrowed through from gate 1 over the 2200m at Marburg two starts back before walking them through the first half. Dialling it up to put it out of reach through the closing half with a 56.2 800m split, she claimed an easy win. Tough in defeat last start, she has the options to challenge.

SOMEGIRLSOMEWHERE (7) was able to stroll to the front from gate 3 last start and once in control was never in danger to claim the prize. Needing a slice of luck form this alley, she will be probing.

BONNIES A ROCKIN (4) is in nice form with a top-3 at her past four in succession that includes a pair of wins. Just 2m away last start from the 1x1 trail, she can find position to feature.

SELECTIONS: JACKBKWIK (8), LAVAZZA (1), SOMEGIRLSOMEWHERE (7), BONNIES A ROCKIN (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TEN

LA SAFRON (7)
added another minor to the tally last start when trying to make a closing raid and landing with the bronze as WHATTA GOOD REASON took the cash. Under 2m from SAVING MAJOR PERCY here two starts back in a qualifier, he can stalk the speed and be ready to strike.

WHATTA GOOD REASON (1) fired out last start from gate 3 to take control over the 1780m and after a steady opening half was able to bring it home in 57.1 the last 800m to score. This is another step up, but he comes up with the gate to make his challenge.

ELMS CREEK (2) was a winner here five starts back when leading throughout from gate 1 over the sprint trip. Placed in three runs since that win, he has the gate to make a play once again.

GOELITZ (8) was shooting for the hat-trick last start when tackling a strong race over the AP 2138m. Taking control early, he kept them rolling but was unable to see it out as GOOD AS IT GETS arrived.

SELECTIONS: LA SAFRON (7), WHATTA GOOD REASON (1), ELMS CREEK (2), GOELITZ (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-7-8
