RACE TWO

CLASSIE AMERICAN (8) was too far back in the pack last start over the mile after starting from gate 11 and couldn’t get into the contest in the latter stages. Looking to his run 4 starts back when using the passing lane and finishing within 1.5m of the smart THATSWHATISAID, he can take the closing shot to score in this.

SKYFELLA CAM (1) was eased back from gate 4 last start and finding the pegs was closing out in good order behind TENNYSON BROMAC. Not really having conditions to suit in recent outings, he can look to hustle through early here and try to stave them all off.

GOD SAKE (2) hit the line nicely last start to be within 4m of TENNYSON BROMAC which followed a run at Redcliffe where he wasn’t ideally suited. From the good alley he can be in the mix.

RIVERLEIGH ROCKET (9) took on a qualifier last start and was forced to retreat from gate 5 and then was too far back when trying to pick up ground. With a soft trip on offer, he can be slicing through.

SELECTIONS: CLASSIE AMERICAN (8), SKYFELLA CAM (1), GOD SAKE (2), RIVERLEIGH ROCKET (9)
SUGGESTED BET: CLASSIE AMERICAN (8) to win

RACE THREE

COMPLY OR DIE (5) was a winner here 3 starts back when using the passing lane to sprint through and take a 4m victory. Not suited at his past 2 starts when buried in the run over the mile and then working too hard over his less preferred 2138m. He can look to fire the 1st shot and can dictate.

RORY MACH (8) is never far from the action and has been in the money his past 2 starts and in 7 of his past 11. He worked home well in the closing stages last start when 5m from PLATINUM ROULETTE and with an economical trip against the markers, can sprint hard when the gaps arrive.

OUR MELS DREAM (10) pressed on to the front here on Tues before opting for cover at the 1000m. Using the passing lane, he grabbed 2nd when 2m in arrears. Despite the gate he will be thereabouts.

JAX NAVARO (4) started from the five-hole last start when finishing 2nd, despite never really looking to issue a challenge. Not far away at his previous 2 starts, he needs to limit the early work here.

SELECTIONS: COMPLY OR DIE (5), RORY MACH (8), OUR MELS DREAM (10), JAX NAVARO (4)
SUGGESTED BET: COMPLY OR DIE (5) to win

RACE FOUR

CC JONES (10)
lands a tricky gate, yet he should get a nice run through in transit to make a closing play in the stretch. Locked away 3 poles last start, he stuck to the inside and using the passing lane was 4m from the winner and was 2.5m from OUR LITTLE DIGGER 3 starts back. He can arrive.

HEEZ PERFECT (2) is now an 8YO and despite having plenty of issues throughout his career, he has shown plenty of ability. Now prepared by Ben Battle, his last race was over 12 months ago and last tasted success in May 2018. With an impressive trial to prepare, fitness is the only query.

SIR MACADOR (8) will be needing a slice of luck from this gate but with the economical run will be probing for the gaps. Chasing home behind OUR UNCLE ALAN last start, he can chime in.

NEWPORT DREAMZ (9) will take benefit from his last start when 1st up from a break. Doing work in the run he faded late and with his previous form against stronger opposition, he is in the mix here.

SELECTIONS: CC JONES (10), HEEZ PERFECT (2), SIR MACADOR (8), NEWPORT DREAMZ (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2-8-9-10

RACE FIVE

LIVE ATOM (1) makes his Qld debut for trainer Greg Elkins and arrives in Qld with an impressive top-three strike-rate. Looking to take them all the way last start back in March at Horsham, he was collared in the closing stages. With no public trial to prepare, his condition is the query.

REGAL NIGHTSHADE (4) has found some nice form in recent starts and has been in the money at 5 of his past 6. A comfortable all the way winner over the 2138m last start, he won’t be far away.

SLIPPERY JADE (2) angled down to the pegs last start over her less preferred 2138m trip and held ground to the line when 3rd to REGAL NIGHTSHADE. Taking on a mares qualifier 2 starts back she found them a tick out of reach. Back to the mile and a good alley, she can be in the mix.

TASSINI (7) has no favours from the wide gate yet has been racing well. A tough winner at Redcliffe 3 starts back, she hasn’t been far away in 2 runs since despite conditions not ideal. She has podium claims in this.

SELECTIONS: LIVE ATOM (1), REGAL NIGHTSHADE (4), SLIPPERY JADE (2), TASSINI (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

SOMWHEREOVARAINBOW (7) secured the perfect trip last start in the pocket trail over this distance and when the passing lane presented was able to sprint along the inside the score. His runs leading into that had been meritorious in stronger company and despite the wide gate can go back-to-back.

RUN BOY RUN (5) rolled forward from this gate to cut the breeze over the mile last start and with a solid tempo in the run, faded in the latter stages. Snagged back from gate 7 here 2 starts back, he went luck hunting up the pegs and found the line in nice order. With an early look, he can challenge.

RANDOM TASK (6) proved too strong over the Redcliffe 1780m trip 2 starts back when sitting in the breeze and packing too many guns in sharp time. Too far back last start, he has podium claims here.

GASMONKEY (1) is not overly suited from gate 1 and might not have the hustle to protect the front. 7m in arrears here 3 starts back behind ITS JUST KENNY, he can look to chime in late.

SELECTIONS: SOMWHEREOVARAINBOW (7), RUN BOY RUN (5), RANDOM TASK (6), GASMONKEY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SOMWHEREOVARAINBOW (7) to win

RACE SEVEN

He will need some factors in his favour but in a race where there looks to be plenty of speed, KETUT (7) can look to utilise his sharp closing sprint to descend upon them late. He attacked the line nicely last start when 2m from THE BUS and was good late 3 back in smart time. Look for him swooping.

JUST SEDUCE ME (2) will appreciate a return to the front line after 4 of her past 5 have been from the 2nd line. Locked away from inside the 2nd line last time out, she was strong to the line when 5m from the winner MELANNA BEACH. Finding the pegs and keeping the tempo on she can go close.

CHANGE OF MIND (4) returns to Qld and makes a stable switch to the Chantal Turpin yard. Fading out after setting a slick tempo last start over the Menangle mile, he has a tidy record here at The Creek and can feature.

HOT ROD HEAVEN (1) was only 7m from RUTHLESS ARMBRO 2 starts back and prior to that had met some handy performers. With the benefit of the ace gate he will be positioned perfectly to strike.

SELECTIONS: KETUT (7), JUST SEDUCE ME (2), CHANGE OF MIND (4), HOT ROD HEAVEN (1)
SUGGESTED BET: KETUT (7) 1x4 win/place

RACE EIGHT

SPECIAL RESERVE (1) resumes from a spell without a public trial and finds winnable conditions 1st up. Last time out from gate 10 she was wide off the track when working home soundly. Her past 3 have been from the 2nd line and with the chance to use early speed and limited pressure, she can dictate.

ALE ALE KAI (5) makes her Aus debut for the astute Peak Crossing barn of Rodger Rees and arrives in search of a hat-trick. A winner at her past 2 starts over 1700m and then the latest over 2200m at Cambridge when scoring in good order by a 6m margin. With a smart trial to prepare, she stays under notice.

GINATIANO (2) returned from a 12 month break in good style when scoring over the Redcliffe 1780m trip. Hitting the line nicely last start when only 7m from BARRETT, she can drop in for a cosy trip and challenge.

BELLA BLONDIE (3) has placed in all 4 starts since returning from a break and will make her 1st appearance here at The Creek. Locked away last start when 9m in arrears, she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: SPECIAL RESERVE (1), ALE ALE KAI (5), GINATIANO (2), BELLA BLONDIE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: SPECIAL RESERVE (1) to win
