RACE TWO

AT RANDOM (8) will make his 1st appearance at Marburg and need to overcome a tricky gate. Despite the 2nd line, he has been meeting stronger opponents than he faces here, his latest run at Tamworth when locked in the trail and just couldn’t match it when the speed went on. This appeals.

STONED AGAIN (9) will once again take on the pacers after making a meal of things last time out in the early stages. That was his 1st start back from a let-up after being banished to the trials in stand start events. Sharing the win in a dead-heat in a trot 4 starts back, he can challenge against these.

BARBOO (1) wasn’t suited last start when facing the breeze at Redcliffe and fading in the closing stages. That was his 1st start back from a freshen and with the speed to hold early here has claims.

BLACKJEWEL (3) might find this a trifle harder than her last start when taking on 3YO maiden company. Her run in that was tidy when finishing 2m from the winner and she is an exotic hope.

SELECTIONS: AT RANDOM (8), STONED AGAIN (9), BARBOO (1), BLACKJEWEL (3)
SUGGESTED BET: AT RANDOM (8) to win

RACE THREE

CROWNING GLORY (3) has been taking on the claiming ranks in recent starts and not been far away. 2 starts back he looked to lead throughout and in a solidly run contest, was only fading in the closing stages. On the back-up from Friday at AP, he can flash his early speed and look to dictate.

RUATO BAY (5) will take good benefit from his run at Redcliffe on Wed when returning from a let-up. Settling back in the pack from a 2nd line gate, he was hitting the line in good order after the race developed into a last quarter scamper. The gate is a stinger, but he can still look to challenge.

MY MOJO (4) will be 1st up from a spell and comes into this without a public trial to his name. His last outing was when down the line in a 2nd division qualifier behind CROWNING GLORY. Place hope.

WILL BE DOC (2) hasn’t really been suited at his past 2 outings, the latest when looking for luck that didn’t arrive after starting from gate 11 over the AP 2138m. He can chime into the exotics.

SELECTIONS: CROWNING GLORY (3), RUATO BAY (5), MY MOJO (4), WILL BE DOC (2)
SUGGESTED BET: CROWNING GLORY (3) to win

RACE FOUR

3YO filly SHAKIN SKAIRA (1) finds her way to the Chantal Turpin barn and will have her 1st Qld start here. Last seen back in December of 2018 when down the line behind the handy WRITE ABOUT LEXY, she has been to the trials twice to prepare, the latest enough to suggest she can strike 1st up.

ELZBOY (7) was buried away against the pegs from an inside 2nd line gate over this trip last start. Working his way into open space he was really hitting the line strongly in the closing stages to get within a head of the winner. With a handy record here at Marburg, he can throw down a challenge.

RAGING INFERNO (6) was snagged back in the early stages last start and from back in the pack faced an impossible task against the tempo. With the cosy trip he can be probing for the openings here.

HALF MOON BEACH (9) pressed ahead to take control over the Redcliffe sprint trip last start after starting from gate 5. Scoring a big win there, he faces a tough gate this time but can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: SHAKIN SKAIRA (1), ELZBOY (7), RAGING INFERNO (6), HALF MOON BEACH (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-6-7-9

RACE FIVE

Unbeaten at his 1st 7 Qld starts, TROJAN BANNER (8) went into the SE Derby facing a task from gate 11 and with the tempo was always facing a task. His run in the Qld Derby was a tidy effort behind the star SELF ASSURED prior to his run on Tues where he did plenty of work. Against these 3YO’s, he looks to have the class edge.

FEELINGFORARAINBOW (7) has been in great touch of late with wins in 4 of his past 7. The latest start saw him roll to the breeze over this trip and in a strong closing 800m packed too many bullets to claim victory by a neck. With a good trail through early, he can make it interesting.

MAJOR SLIP UP (4) will appreciate moving one gate closer and after a string of bad gates dating back since his last win, he can look to capitalise on the improved alley. His record here at Marburg is strong and he is in the fight.

RANCHO MAN (3) returned a tidy effort under the circumstances last start after snagging back from gate 6 over the Redcliffe sprint trip. From the gate he can get forward early and has place hopes.

SELECTIONS: TROJAN BANNER (8), FEELINGFORARAINBOW (7), MAJOR SLIP UP (4), RANCHO MAN (3)
SUGGESTED BET: TROJAN BANNER (8) to win

RACE SIX

SPORTS STORY (5) made the most of gate 1 at Redcliffe 2 starts back when leading all the way to score her 1st Qld victory. Snagged back from gate 7 last start over the AP mile, she was really hitting the line in fine style when 3m from the winner MISS BLUE GLORY. Despite the tough gate, she can arrive for the prize.

MISS BLUE GLORY (6) will need some luck from the tricky gate and might even look to snag back early to get around them. Sent to the breeze on Tues at AP she was in for the fight and was able to claim a narrow victory in a new career PB. Hitting the line strongly the start prior, she can challenge.

MALIBU DREAM (4) has been doing it well as she moves through her ratings with wins in 3 of her past 6 starts. Finishing best after a cosy run in transit 2 starts ago, she backs-up from Thurs and can place.

CUPCAKESNWHIPCREAM (3) chased home for the silver behind SPORTS STORY last start after sitting in the trail from inside the 2nd line. Hitting the line strongly 2 starts back, she can chime in late.

SELECTIONS: SPORTS STORY (5), MISS BLUE GLORY (6), MALIBU DREAM (4), CUPCAKESNWHIPCREAM (3)
SUGGESTED BET: SPORTS STORY (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

TORQUE FEELS GOOD (3) looked to take them all the way last start over the AP sprint trip and set a good tempo in front when grabbed in the closing stages and 8m from the winner. Not far away 2 starts back in a slick closing panel, she can get across early and look to dictate.

GOALKICKER (8) will strip fitter following her latest start when return from a let-up. Starting fav over the Redcliffe sprint trip, she was off the 2nd line and worked home soundly. Yet to miss a top-three in 4 outings here at the track, she will be right in the fight once again.

PAQUIN (4) pressed on from outside the 2nd line here last start and worked to the breeze, rolled the sleeves and was too strong in claiming a 3m victory. A winner at her past 2 starts at Marburg, she is right in the fight.

CROCODILE PRINCESS (1) settled in the pocket trail from gate 1 at Redcliffe last start and was using the passing lane when 5m from the winner. With the soft trip she will probe for the openings.

SELECTIONS: TORQUE FEELS GOOD (3), GOALKICKER (8), PAQUIN (4), CROCODILE PRINCESS (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

IM TOOT (1) sat in the pocket trail over the mile at AP 3 starts back and packed too many guns in the closing stages in a slogging go to the wire. He followed that with a 3rd after doing his share of early work at Redcliffe and wasn’t suited last start. From gate 1 he can dictate and look to extend his Marburg record to 2 from 2.

IFOUNDTHEBEACH (6) will be glued to the back of the 1 and probing for the gaps in the stretch looking to make a closing play. Facing a task from back in the pack last start when the closing speed was solid up front, he just couldn’t finish it off. With the cosy trip he can probe the gaps.

RIVERLEIGH JEFF (9) started from this gate last start and was working home wide off the track when grabbing a bronze. Buried from inside the 2nd line 2 starts back, look for him wide out closing hard.

SCOTT TOM (3) made the most of conditions last start at Redcliffe to sail home of the speed and claim a new career benchmark. With good numbers here at the track he can feature again.

SELECTIONS: IM TOOT (1), IFOUNDTHEBEACH (6), RIVERLEIGH JEFF (9), SCOTT TOM (3)
SUGGESTED BET: IM TOOT (1) to win

RACE NINE

OLIVER WINKLE (3) hasn’t had conditions to suit at his past 2 starts when forced to work home from back in the field from bad gates. A winner in a sizzling mile at AP 5 starts back, he then fought hard in front when grabbed late. From this gate he can get in the contest and can look to bounce back.

LOCHINVER (8) is on the back-up from Thurs at Redcliffe and will be having his 1st start at the Marburg track. 2 runs back he was buried in the run and didn’t get the clearest passage when down the line behind VETTEL. With the right cart into the contest he can look to throw down a challenge.

MIDNIGHT BENDER (1) resumes from a spell and will step out for trainer Taleah McMullen for the first time. Placed in 3 of 4 appearances here at Redcliffe, the gate suits here at his return.

OHOKA COOPER (6) took on claiming company last start at Redcliffe when buried away and finishing soundly along the passing lane. With an economical trip, he will be probing for space to offer.

SELECTIONS: OLIVER WINKLE (3), LOCHINVER (8), MIDNIGHT BENDER (1), OHOKA COOPER (6)
SUGGESTED BET: OLIVER WINKLE (3) to win
