RACE TWO

OUR UNCLE ALAN (1) will be 1st up since joining the Donny Smith stable and lands the perfect gate to kick of with a bang. Placed in successive starts behind the handy SECRETAGENT TYCOON, he was then sent out fav last start and was soon buried in the run. From the good gate he can dictate.

FLORIST (3) will be 2nd up in Qld after taking on a mares qualifier at her 1st start. Slammed with gate 12 in that contest, she was sent to the pegs to look for some luck in transit that never arrived. She hit the line in good order at Menangle 2 starts back behind TRALEE BROMAC and can challenge here.

OLIVER WINKLE (5) rolled to the breeze at Marburg last start and was doing his share of work in the run when fading out. Trying to make ground 2 starts back in a solid AP mile, he can chime in here.

KURAHAUPO GAMBLER (4) is racing in good touch and has managed to place in 2 runs since winning from the breeze here 3 starts back. Only beaten a neck here on Wed, he will be right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: OUR UNCLE ALAN (1), FLORIST (3), OLIVER WINKLE (5), KURAHAUPO GAMBLER (4)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR UNCLE ALAN (1) to win

RACE THREE

INDYS APPROVAL (3) was sent forward from the 2nd line here on Wed night and was able to take control and then pull clear in the stretch to a big 17m victory. Her previous 2 starts cam from gate 6 where she worked too hard in the run and if she can get it right early in this, she will be hard to stop.

BETTOR WATCH HIM (1) resumes from a spell and will come into this without a public trial. Last seen when grabbing the bronze behind CARDLESFROMHEAVEN back in March, the start prior to that he looked to lead all the way over the 1780m when grabbed late by MACH TORQUE. He can place here.

ALL GOOD WALLY (5) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was soon away from the inside to work home wide out and grab 3rd to ROWDYS ACE. Within 7m of the winner 2 back, he can go close.

TELL THE FUTURE (8) was a winner here 3 starts back when leading throughout to claim a 2m victory. With tough gates at her next 2, she can enjoy a nice trail here and chime in late.

SELECTIONS: INDYS APPROVAL (3), BETTOR WATCH HIM (1), ALL GOOD WALLY (5), TELL THE FUTURE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: INDYS APPROVAL (3) to win

RACE FOUR

PEGGY STARDUST (2)
should appreciate this type of race and from the good gate will get the opportunity to flash some early speed. Finding the pocket trail from gate 6 here 2 starts back, she grabbed 3rd when 6m from the winner. Snagged back from a wide gate last time, this looks ideal.

REGALIA (3) was locked away 3 back against the poles here on Wed night and needed space sooner to issue a meaningful challenge. Probing for a gap, when he finally saw the space, the race was gone, but he did well in finishing 2nd. Grabbing the bronze 2 starts back, with even luck, he is in the mix.

VALIANT GEM (7) made a mid-race move over this trip last start and working to the breeze was in for the fight in holding on for 3rd. Fitter for the outing after being 2nd up from a let-up, he has claims.

CLASSYTOFF (8) will strip fitter from her latest appearance when 2nd up from a break. Easing back from gate 5 she couldn’t get into the contest. With an easy early trail, she can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: PEGGY STARDUST (2), REGALIA (3), VALIANT GEM (7), CLASSYTOFF (8)
SUGGESTED BET: PEGGY STARDUST (2) to win

RACE FIVE

GOALKICKER (7) wasn’t suited at Marburg last start when landing outside the 2nd line and forced to cover plenty of the track after making an error. Not far away here 2 starts back when returning off a let-up, she will be further tightened and with the options as the lone 2nd line runner can arrive.

AUNTY BESSY (3) is on the back-up from Thursday where she started a red figure fav against stronger mares and faded late after being softened in front. Tough from the breeze 3 starts back when 2m from the winner over the AP mile, this will be her 2nd outing since joining forces with Donny Smith.

WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (2) looked to take them all the way from gate 1 here on Wed night and after setting a steady tempo was grabbed in the closing stages by MONUMENTAL. She won’t be far away.

JENUFLECTION (5) found the 1x1 trail last start and chased home to grab the bronze. Locked away against the pegs here 2 starts back, this looks a suitable target and she can be in the numbers.

SELECTIONS: GOALKICKER (7), AUNTY BESSY (3), WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (2), JENUFLECTION (5)
SUGGESTED BET: GOALKICKER (7) to win

RACE SIX

BELLA BLONDIE (2) will be further tightened from her run on Thursday when 2nd up from a break and having just her 4th career start. Starting from gate 9, she settled handy in the running line and then packed too many guns to score. That followed a 1st up 2nd and from the gate can go back-to-back.

BLACKJEWEL (3) has placed at her past 2 starts, the latest at Marburg when working home from back in the pack to grab the bronze. Only 2m from BEYONSKI here 2 starts back when finding the 1x1 trail, she can look to settle handy from the gate and earn a cheque again.

FOREVER GRAND (4) makes her race debut here for Steven Furey. She will find this easier than her latest trial when well down the line behind LINCOLNS GIRL in slick time at AP. She can chime in.

SELECTIONS: BELLA BLONDIE (2), BLACKJEWEL (3), FOREVER GRAND (4)
SUGGESTED BET: BELLA BLONDIE (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

NORAHS FLING (6) was able to overcome the 30m impost last start at Marburg when pressing forward and rolling the sleeves for a tough win from the breeze. Buried away in the run here 2 starts back, she was attacking the line strongly in the closing stages for 2nd and can repeat the victory.

MISTER OZ (8) finished mid-field 2 starts back when racing in the pocket trail and not far from GREG THE GREAT. 3 starts back he was 7m from the smart MAJESTIC COURTNEY under mobile conditions and despite facing the 50m back-mark in this, will be throwing down a solid challenge.

SOMEDASH (5) struck trouble at AP 2 starts back and can be forgiven for that run. Turning it around last start when hitting the line strongly for the silver off this same tape over the 1780m, she will be in the fight.

GO AHEAD MAKEMYDAY (7) found the poles from the 20m tape here on Wed night and worked home well for 3rd when 2m from the winner POPCORN SUTTON. He is never too far away.

SELECTIONS: NORAHS FLING (6), MISTER OZ (8), SOMEDASH (5), GO AHEAD MAKEMYDAY (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 5-6-7-8

RACE EIGHT

MY ULTIMATE STAR (5) was after the hat-trick last start and working hard in the run was brave in defeat, holding on for 2nd and only 2m from the winner ARK ME. That had followed successive wins in his own 2YO age bracket and taking on the older pacers again, can prove too classy in this.

HALLY GUINEVERE (2) worked across to find the front from gate 6 here on Wed night before releasing the speed to then hold 3rd behind INDYS APPROVAL. Not too far away the start prior after retreating from gate 5, she can capitalise on the good gate here to threaten.

ALL MADNESS (1) went straight to the front from gate 3 at Marburg 2 starts back when 1st up for the new stable and dictated to a 7m victory. Locked away last start, he can be in the mix from the ace.

CROCODILE PRINCESS (9) released from gate 1 over the sprint trip 2 starts back when using the passing lane to be 5m from the winner. 2nd from the pocket trail at Marburg last start, she can chime in late.

SELECTIONS: MY ULTIMATE STAR (5), HALLY GUINEVERE (2), ALL MADNESS (1), CROCODILE PRINCESS (9)
SUGGESTED BET:
