RACE TWO

GUNNAREIGN (4) looks to find a suitable target to claim her 1st Qld success at her 5th attempt. The 1st 3 starts in the Sunshine State were against some handy performers including when only 7m from WE SALUTE YOU. Back to mares only company and fitter from her last start, this looks ideal.

LETHAL STAR (7) will need some factors in her favour but following out a quick beginner should enjoy a cosy run and be ready to strike when the gaps open. Winless this calendar year, she found the line in good order last start behind TASSINI and if hitting the lane with momentum can challenge.

STEVIE DEE (6) has no favours from the wide gate yet should appreciate this class of contest. Lining up for her 3rd start in 6 days, her run had merit on Sat in a mares qualifier and she won’t be far away.

FLASHING GOOD TIME (1) lands the prefect gate to utilise her speed out of the machine and can put forward a solid case of map beating class. 2nd to DOLLARBILL in handy time 2 starts back, she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: GUNNAREIGN (4), LETHAL STAR (7), STEVIE DEE (6), FLASHING GOOD TIME (1)
SUGGESTED BET: GUNNAREIGN (4) to win

RACE THREE

NON PASSARE (9) will have to overcome a tough map here but he looks to have been meeting stronger opponents in recent starts than what he will face here. Not far from STUDLEIGH WILL on Mon, he has been mid-field at his past 3 starts. With even luck in transit he can arrive.

SHAKIN SHAKIRA (7) will be further tightened from her latest start when 2nd up from a break and since transferring to the Turpin barn. Looking to take them all the way last start here over the 1780m, she was grabbed in the closing strides. With a soft trip, she can look to strike in the stretch.

PEGGY STARDUST (3) found the poles from gate 2 last start and looked to dictate through an even tempo but couldn’t see it out. Not suited 2 back from gate 6, if limiting the early burn, she can place.

LEORYAN (1) should have the early speed to light the lamps here and if pinching a panel can give them something to chase. Not suited last start in the breeze, he will be gripping on.

SELECTIONS: NON PASSARE (9), SHAKIN SHAKIRA (7), PEGGY STARDUST (3), LEORYAN (1)
SUGGESTED BET: NON PASSARE (9)

RACE FOUR

After taking on stronger races looking for his 2nd Qld victory, IN THE PAPER (5) will get his 1st look at the triangle. Snagged back from gate 7 last start, he was strong to the line behind the smart 3YO STAR OF MONTANA and 2 back set the tempo when claimed late by VASARI. He looks hard to stop.

KISS CAM (4) was sent to the front from this same gate over the sprint trip 2 starts back and once in control kept the power on all the way to score a 20m victory in slick time. 7m from the winner on Mon at AP after finding the 1x1 from gate 6, he can throw down the challenge here.

RANFURLY RULZ (8) should enjoy the right trail through early to settle handy and with that type of run in transit can chime in late. Buried on the pegs last start from gate 5, he is better suited in this.

PROJECTILE (1) finished mid-field from this same gate last start but was only 4m from the winner in a blanket finish. With the good g once again, he can enjoy the soft trip and be ready to strike late.

SELECTIONS: IN THE PAPER (5), KISS CAM (4), RANFURLY RULZ (8), PROJECTILE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: IN THE PAPER (5) to win

RACE FIVE

In a tough contest to line-up, SURFER JOE (4) might just have the early speed to set up shop on the front end and dealing the terms can look to hold on. Fading out after going too hard in front over the 2040m here 2 starts back, he was hitting the line in good order last start to grab the bronze and is worth a chance in this.

WHERES TASCOTT (8) is approaching 12 months since her lone career victory, yet her recent starts have been enough to suggest she can feature in this type of contest. Finding the line in nice style to grab the bronze in the Marburg Oaks behind SPORTS STORY 2 starts back, with even luck she can go close.

KAMEKONA (1) will strip fitter from her latest start when 3rd up from a break. Buried away here 2 starts back, she worked home well for the bronze and with a cosy trip can take shot up the passing lane.

SCHOOBY (9) took an early shot from gate 5 here last start and finding the pegs looked to dictate only to fade out in the latter stages. With the right cart into the contest he has place hopes.

SELECTIONS: SURFER JOE (4), WHERES TASCOTT (8), KAMEKONA (1), SCHOOBY (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

INDYS APPROVAL (10) was shooting for the hat-trick at AP on Monday when she made a mess of things early and lost all chance. The start prior she went straight to the front over this trip and kept the speed on throughout to claim a big 20m victory. She can overcome the tough gate to score.

OUR DOUG (4) was building towards a victory after successive placed efforts including a smart 3rd to MONUMENTAL after striking some trouble in the run. Rewarded for the consistency here last start from the 2nd line, he packed too many guns to score. Finding position cheaply he can repeat.

LETS DIG IT (7) was all set to get a cosy trip from this same gate last week but with an early scrimmage was angled to the 1x1. Looking to loom up, he faded on the run for 3rd and with the pegs run this time, can chime in late.

JILLIBY JACKPOT (3) makes his Qld debut and arrives with a top-three finish from 3 of his 6 race starts. Given a trial to prepare, he can get forward early and can be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: INDYS APPROVAL (10), OUR DOUG (4), LETS DIG IT (7), JILLIBY JACKPOT (3)
SUGGESTED BET: INDYS APPROVAL (10) to win

RACE SEVEN

CARLOAD (2) pressed ahead to find the front from gate 3 here last start over this trip and kept the tempo solid throughout. Not quite able to fight them off, he held on for the bronze when 2m in arrears of the winner. His run 2 back had merit from gate 6 when snagging back and he can take this.

ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (3) too on Sat night company last start and despite finishing officially last, the run was fair after retreating from gate 4 to settle near the rear in the small field. Not to far from ONE HELL OF A RIDE 2 starts back, he can put some early speed on to find position and challenge.

IMTHE GOLDEN CHILD (10) is another with a sharp Redcliffe record, winning 2 here on the triangle form just 3 outings. Not suited his past couple when retreating from wide gates, look for him over the top if the speed is on.

UNASSUMING CHAMP (6) has the wide gate to negotiate, yet his Redcliffe record is impressive with a 50% top-two strike rate from 31 outings. Only a half-head away last start, he is in the fight here.

SELECTIONS: CARLOAD (2), ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (3), UNASSUMING CHAMP (6), IMTHE GOLDEN CHILD (10)
SUGGESTED BET: IMTHE GOLDEN CHILD (10) each-way

RACE EIGHT

IMA BLACK BEAUTY (2) makes her 1st appearance at the Peninsula as she looks to score her 1st Qld victory. Settling in the pocket trail from inside the 2nd line last start, she just missed in taking the closing shot up the passing lane behind HEZ RAZOR SHARP. That followed a tidy 3rd and pressing on here can open her Northern account.

MISSINMEMATE (1) took cover over the AP sprint trip 2 starts back and using the passing lane went within a half-head of the winner TIN ROOF RAIDER. He couldn’t with them when the sprint went on last start but with the soft trip behind the speed can be ready for the snipers shot in the stretch.

ELMS CREEK (8) has returned from a freshen in good order with a 2nd a win in his past 2 starts. Benefitting from a soft trip in the trail last start he made the closing shot a winning one up the passing lane and has claims again.

MISTER BLACKJACK (9) has a tidy record on his home track and was a winner here 2 starts back over the longer 2280m trip when able to rip home a sharp closing panel. With a cart into the contest he has claims.

SELECTIONS: IMA BLACK BEAUTY (2), MISSINMEMATE (1), ELMS CREEK (8), MISTER BLACKJACK (9)
SUGGESTED BET: IMA BLACK BEAUTY (2) to win
