RACE TWO

Another typically open claimer with a few new additions to the claiming ranks just to make the waters even a little murkier. Last start winner WATTLEBANK FLYER (9) settled in the 1x1 trail from this same gate when 2nd over the line before winning the race by stewards’ order. Settling handy he can finish over the top again.

IMA TOP TYCOON (7) drops back to the claiming grade after finishing down the line in his past few starts, albeit far from disgraced in any of those. Setting the tempo from gate 5 last start, he was only 5m from subsequent winner STOMPEM. He has early bullets to fire and can throw it down here.

BACK PAGE NEWS (1) is another that steps into the claiming ranks following 2 runs back from a break. Buried in the run last start, he will get a cosy trip and despite a marginal rise in grade, that is offset by the gate.

MARK DENNIS (5) retreated to find position last time out over the mile before working home in nice order to be 7m from the winner. A while between victory drinks, he can show further improvement.

SELECTIONS: WATTLEBANK FLYER (9), IMA TOP TYCOON (7), BACK PAGE NEWS (1), MARK DENNIS (5)
SUGGESTED BET: WATTLEBANK FLYER (9) to win

RACE THREE

WILL THE WIZARD (11) started from the 2nd line last start as CRUNCH TIME set up a sizzling tempo in front that led to the passing lane NURBURGRING arriving in a sub 1.51 mile. Chasing gamely for 3rd, it had followed an easy 5m victory in front. Missing a cheque just twice in his 19 start career that has yielded 6 wins, he can power over the top of them.

MAJOR MUCHA (10) eased from gate 6 last start and soon was positioned a long way back in the pack. Wide off the track he made a sustained run and was charging home to get within 1.5m of the winner MY ULTIMATE STAR. The gate stings, but with a cart into the contest can challenge again.

NIMAH FRANCO (3) took on a mares event when making her Aus debut last start where she was an easy leader from gate 1 when grabbed in the closing strides. An eye-catcher in a preparatory trial, she is in the mix.

NOTORIOUS (6) had the speed to get across and take up the lamp lighting duties last start over the mile and once in control was never in danger in scoring by 6m. He can feature again despite the gate.

SELECTIONS: WILL THE WIZARD (11), MAJOR MUCHA (10), NIMAH FRANCO (3), NOTORIOUS (6)
SUGGESTED BET: WILL THE WIZARD (11) to win

RACE FOUR

JANSSON (11)
has placed at his past 3 in succession as another win approaches. Working forward from this tape last start to cut the breeze, he was in for the fight when within 2m of the winner. Not too far from AVEROSS DON the start prior to grab 2nd, he can look to capitalise here.

SOH TWISTED (1) set the tempo out in front last time out but failed to finish it off when wilting late to be mid-field. Runner-up at her previous 3 starts, she has brilliant manners when the tapes fly and from the inside line off the front, can settle in the right spot to be in for the challenge.

THE REAPER (12) took on mobile conditions last start when working home wide off the track and hitting the line in nice order when 6m in arrears of DOUG. The 30m makes it tough, but he is in the mix.

ROCKET NOVA (5) was 2nd up in Qld last start when making a mess of the start that ended all his chances. 4m from SKYLINE the start prior when 1st up from a spell, he can search for atonement.

SELECTIONS: JANSSON (11), SOH TWISTED (1), THE REAPER (12), ROCKET NOVA (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

STREET APPEAL (9) was returning from a spell here 2 starts back when landing gate 7 and restraining in the early stages. With all the power on up front as NURBURGRING used the passing lane to stop the clock in a sizzling 1.50.8, those back in the pack faced mission impossible. Not suited at Redcliffe last start, back to the big oval, he strikes the right contest.

CONVAIR HUSTLER (1) was locked away from inside the 2nd line last start when taking on a 2nd division qualifier. Probing for gaps, he may have been closer with a cleaner passage. Locked away the start prior, he has the speed to take options here and looks to get his chance.

COOL SCOOTER (4) was in for the grind last start at Redcliffe when facing the breeze and fighting on when 3.5m in arrears of the swooping winner LITTLE CHANGE. He might need to work but is in the mix.

LUCKY UNLUCKY (6) might need a name change to barrier unlucky having landed gate 5 or wider in 12 of his past 14 starts. Freshened since his last run when working home in nice order from a long way back, he can be chiming in late.

SELECTIONS: STREET APPEAL (9), CONVAIR HUSTLER (1), COOL SCOOTER (4), LUCKY UNLUCKY (6)
SUGGESTED BET: STREET APPEAL (9) to win

RACE SIX

A RAINBOW DELIGHT (10) continued to press forward from gate 6 last start over the mile, taking control. With the power on all the way, she cruised home to a comfortable 7m victory in a new PB. Forced to work tough the start prior over the 2138m trip, she has the tough gate, but might just have the class edge to overcome that impediment.

RUNFORTHEROSES (1) led them up from this gate last start when collared in the latter stages of the stretch to go under by 5m. In the running line the start prior when 7m from the subsequent winner KEY LARGO, she can utilise the options from this alley again and looks set to play a role in this.

IDEAL TIGER (9) was rewarded here 2 starts back following some handy performances when making the most of the passing lane to arrive. Doing it the tough way last start and fighting hard for 2nd, he can feature again here.

GETALOADATHISGIRL (4) is in great touch with wins in 3 of her past 4 starts and will shoot for the hat-trick here. Finishing over the top of them last start, she can settle close enough to chime in.

SELECTIONS: A RAINBOW DELIGHT (10), RUNFORTHEROSES (1), IDEAL TIGER (9), GETALOADATHISGIRL (4)
SUGGESTED BET: A RAINBOW DELIGHT (10) to win

RACE SEVEN

COPPERFIELD (1) worked around them in the middle stages from then 2nd line last start to set up outside the leader. In for the fight he was still grinding as FOUR STARZZZ FORSA took them all the way. A tough winner the start prior, he can hustle early to protect the poles and dictate thereafter.

BANGKOK BRAVADO (8) was returning from a freshen last time out from this same gate when fading in the latter stages to be well beaten. Forgiving the effort, his previous run was sharp when closing strongly from back in the pack when 5m from the winner. With the trip he can chime in.

BREACH THE BEACH (4) was locked away from inside the 2nd line last start over the mile and when the gaps opened was hitting the line strongly to be 5m from the winner. With the benefit of that run, his 1st in Qld, he is in the mix.

ITS SUPER EASY (5) did it the tough way last start and did not shirk the task when 4m from the dictating GOLIGHTLY to hold on for 2nd. Tough in the breeze 2 starts back, he is right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: COPPERFIELD (1), BANGKOK BRAVADO (8), BREACH THE BEACH (4), ITS SUPER EASY (5)
SUGGESTED BET: COPPERFIELD (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

JIVE (5) was looking to remain undefeated in Qld when stepping out over the mile last start when landing inside the 2nd line. Soon locked away 4 spots back, she looked to be facing a forlorn task. When sighting space she sprinted sharply to grab the silver behind PARAVANI. Back to the front line is a big plus.

REMEMBER ME NOW (2) settled in the 1x1 trail last start when making a closing play to hold on for 2nd when 3m in arrears of the winner. Taking them all the way over the mile here 2 starts back when sent forward from gate 7, he can fire the early shots here and will throw down a strong challenge.

OUR RIDGY DIDGE (8) looks set to get an easy trip here and from that position looms as a place hope. 3rd via the passing lane last start after releasing the speed, he will be probing the gaps.

MONTANA LAD (9) has capitalised on his recent trips to Redcliffe with 2 wins and a 2nd in his past 3 outings. Pressing forward to take control from gate 5 and then never headed last start, he can trail through early to chime in here.

SELECTIONS: JIVE (5), REMEMBER ME NOW (2), OUR RIDGY DIDGE (8), MONTANA LAD (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

DANCINGINTHEDARK (9) started fav last time out at Redcliffe when holding the breeze and working hard in transit. Unable to launch a final bid for success when finishing 6m in arrears of the winner, she will take some benefit from the run, being her 1st outings since a freshen. In a tricky contest, she can arrive.

ABERCROMBIE TAB (8) was a winner here on Tuesday when making the most of a nice cosy trip and then finishing over the top of them to claim a 2m victory. Hitting the line in nice order the start prior from back in the pack, he will be requiring some factors in his favour here to launch his claim.

BROOKESSMARTDANCER (4) has some tricks up her sleeves and is yet to fire in 3 starts here in Qld where she has struggled in her gait. Banished to the trials, she earns the return after a smart hit-out and in this line-up if she can pace cleanly can feature.

ITS YOU NOT ME (2) was a Redcliffe winner 2 starts back when making the most of the cosy trip to finish over the top of them. Working home wide off the track last start, he can settle close to the action.

SELECTIONS: DANCINGINTHEDARK (9), ABERCROMBIE TAB (8), BROOKESSMARTDANCER (4), ITS YOU NOT ME (2)
SUGGESTED BET: DANCINGINTHEDARK (9) to win

RACE TEN

An even looking mobile trot to round out the card where REDWOOD INVASION (4) can build off his eye-catching Qld debut. Settling back in the pack, he attacked the line strongly from a 30m tape to be 1m from the winner. With a nice record from the mobile, he can open his Northern ledger.

I ASKED NICELY (3) sat back in the field before working home hard and wide out to arrive for a smart win even after making errors in the run. Banished to the trials for his misdemeanours despite the win, he has earned the return. His mobile record is questionable but an effort like his last win can see him challenge.

JUST CALL ME MOLLY (2) has ability that is equally matched by gait issues that have proven costly in her career. Sent back to trial twice, one of those was a nice effort and if she can trot all the way, she will be in the thick of it here.

ARNOLD (8) loves the mobile, having missed the money just once in 8 attempts. Resuming here from a spell following a tough 3rd over the 2647m last start, with the options as the line 2nd line runner he can feature.

SELECTIONS: REDWOOD INVASION (4), I ASKED NICELY (3), JUST CALL ME MOLLY (2), ARNOLD (8)
SUGGESTED BET: REDWOOD INVASION (4) to win
