RACE TWO

This looks a tricky little contest over the 2040m as most of these look to recapture some form. Despite the gate NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (8) has been returning tidy efforts her past few from wide gates off the front line. Making late ground at her past 2 starts, with the right early trail this looks within reach.

STUDLEIGH WILL (4) struck trouble in the run last start which contributed to his down the line performance. Grinding away in the breeze 2 starts back when not too far from the winner MONTANA LAD, his run 3 back had merit behind COPPERFIELD. He can challenge in this.

UNDERTHEKILT (1) snagged back from a wide gate last start before then making a wide run over the closing stages. Chasing home behind CHANCELESS CENTURY 2 starts back, the inside gate suits.

THE CASUAL GOOSE (9) set the tempo last start over this trip but could not see it out and was grabbed late in a blanket finish. Beaten by gate 7 over the AP mile the start prior, he can place.

SELECTIONS: NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (8), STUDLEIGH WILL (4), UNDERTHEKILT (1), THE CASUAL GOOSE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (8) to win

RACE THREE

ATOMIC BOMBSHELL (2) started fav here 2 starts back when forced to do it the tough way outside the leader. Making an error that saw her lose all chance, she bounced back with a late closing 3rd over the AP mile when buried in the run. With the good gate and back to mares only, she looks to get her chance for Qld success.

CHROMOZONE (4) made the m most if the good alley and her gate speed here last start when pouncing on the poles and breaking them apart through a sharp 3rd panel. Holding on to score, she will be having an early look and if mustering the hustle to lead, can go close at career start 50.

BRONSKI MACARENA (7) will be requiring a slice of luck from the gate as she looks set to be locked away. Holding 2nd behind BIG IN AMERICA from the pocket trail last start, she will be probing.

IMA BEACH BABE (3) will take some benefit from her latest start when returning from a break at Marburg. Locked away and searching for an opening, it was a tidy return and with good figures here at Redcliffe, she can feature.

SELECTIONS: ATOMIC BOMBSHELL (2), CHROMOZONE (4), BRONSKI MACARENA (7), IMA BEACH BABE (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

HIPSTAR (5)
has returned in fine fettle and lines up here searching for a hat-trick of wins. Settling back in the pack from the 2nd line last start, he overpowered them late when running some slick closing sections which followed a tough win from the breeze. Building a smart record, he can add to the figures here.

JUST JOSHIN (3) started a warm favourite here on Wednesday night when not hustled off the arm over this trip from gate 2. Content to roll the sleeves and grind it out from the breeze, he was 3m in arrears when they crossed the line. Settling handy to the action, he looks the best of the rest.

KARLOO MAC (7) will be requiring a slice of luck and looks set to be making probing runs when the gaps arrive. Not suited when breezing here 2 starts back, he was down the line in claiming grade last start.

CIRCLE LINE (1) was not too far away last start at Marburg when tucked in behind and chasing in a strong last 800m. Victory has eluded him for some time now but he comes up with the gate for an easy trip here and limiting any work in the run can chime into the money.

SELECTIONS: HIPSTAR (5), JUST JOSHIN (3), KARLOO MAC (7), CIRCLE LINE (1),
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 5 / 1-3-7

RACE FIVE

BONNIES CAM (2) showed the benefit of added fitness following 2 runs back from a spell when taking on the 2200m at Marburg last start. Sent straight to the front, he took control and running even splits was never in danger in scoring a smart win. From the gate he looks set to repeat the dose.

OUR RIDGY DIDGE (9) will take benefit from his latest offering when resuming from a spell. Angled to the pegs for the short-cuts from gate 10, there was plenty to like in how he found the line behind A RAINBOW DELIGHT. Landing no favours from this gate, he will be sweeping wide late.

PIN CODE (1) was put out of the draw here 3 starts back when making errors from inside the 2nd line. Her past 2 from wide gates have had merit and if she can master the inside line at the start, has claims.

BARBOO (5) was a winner here 2 starts back when pressing forward from gate 4 to find position, securing the 1x1 trail before making the closing shot a winning one. The wider gate hurts, but he is a podium player.

SELECTIONS: BONNIES CAM (2), OUR RIDGY DIDGE (9), PIN CODE (1), BARBOO (5)
SUGGESTED BET: BONNIES CAM (2) to win

RACE SIX

JAMAICAN RESORT (3) made the most of gate 1 here on Thursday when burrowing through to keep them wide and once in control ran home a strong closing 800m to score a comfortable 8m victory. That has followed a tidy effort behind PHIL BROMAC and he can look to dictate terms again here.

GO ANNE GO (4) had been close to an overdue 1st win in Qld after going close a few times and found the conditions here 2 starts back when firing out from gate 3 to take control and take them all the way. Gunned down last start from in front, she will be firing early bullets here to challenge.

WHATA STRIDE (5) has placed at her past 2 starts, the latest a tough effort when cutting the breeze and only nabbed in the last stride up the passing lane. The gate stings but she can be in for the fight.

TORQUE TO THE MAX (1) grabbed the silver here 4 starts back when taking inside runs to be within 2m of the winner. Not too far away her past 2 starts, she can chime in off an easy trip again here.

SELECTIONS: JAMAICAN RESORT (3), GO ANNE GO (4) WHATA STRIDE (5), TORQUE TO THE MAX (1)
SUGGESTED BET: JAMAICAN RESORT (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

ALWAYS AT NIGHT (5) has not been too far from the action in recent starts including placings in 2 of his past 4 attempts. Buried away when angled to the pegs over the AP mile last start, he found the line soundly behind the in-form JIVE. A passing lane 3rd here 2 starts back, he looks to have found conditions to suit.

WHATA CHALLENGE (7) will take some benefit from his latest start when 2nd up from a freshen. Fading in the run over the 1850m at Marburg, he looks set for an economical trip from this gate and if able to find some improvement, he can challenge in a race like this.

AUCKLANDER (3) steps out in Qld for the 1st time for Rhett Markey and has opened the pipes with a tidy trial at Marburg. A winner of 2 races and a half-brother to a Group 1 winner, he stays under watch.

IM TOOT (8) resumes from a spell without the benefit of a trial but can bring a handy record at the triangle where he has been top-3 in just on 50% of his appearances here, including 4 wins. May need the run.

SELECTIONS: ALWAYS AT NIGHT (5), WHATA CHALLENGE (7), AUCKLANDER (3), IM TOOT (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ALWAYS AT NIGHT (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

ITMIGHTBEYOU (2) has really flourished after taking a long time to break her maiden tag. With 5 wins in her past 9 starts, she lines up here in search of a hat-trick of victories. Leading throughout in both her past 2 wins over this trip, she has the early speed to take control and looks hard to stop.

FAST IS BETTOR (7) will need a slice of luck from inside the 2nd line but has met stronger opponents in her 3 Qld starts to date for Team Frisby. Chasing home some handy ones at her past 2 starts at Albion Park, she was 4m from the winner when claiming the bronze here 3 back. Just needs space.

LITTLEDEE (9) has no favours from this gate but she worked home from a tough gate last time out at Marburg when 4m in arrears of the winner WRITEABOUTCHELSEA. With the right trail she has claims.

DARTESIAN (4) was a winner here 5 starts back when using the passing lane to arrive. Chasing home when 8m from ITMIGHTBEYOU from this same gate last start, he is a podium chance this time.

SELECTIONS: ITMIGHTBEYOU (2), FAST IS BETTOR (7), LITTLEDEE (9), DARTESIAN (4)
SUGGESTED BET: ITMIGHTBEYOU (2) to win

RACE NINE

Grab a ticket in the Sunday night Redcliffe raffle in this race, it is perhaps one of the toughest events to line up in recent times. If IM SANDY BAY (6) can get around cleanly, she might be the one. Working home wide off the track last start when 4th to ARMA AUGUSTUS, she was within 5m of the winner MELTON LUCKY 2 starts back. With all 3 of her career wins here, can she make it 4.

ITS YOU NOT ME (4) has placed in 4 of his past 5 starts with 3 of those coming here at this track. Well beaten off the 2nd line last start at Marburg, if he can position cheaply, he has claims.

CHRISKEN COUNTRY (9) does not have any favours from the 2nd line yet her efforts from similarly tough gates at her past 2 starts have had merit. Back in the pack at Marburg last start, she can chime in.

BROOKESSMARTDANCER (5) features in a stable switch to line up for new trainer in the ranks Ashleigh Delosa. Well beaten in both Qld starts at Albion Park, he might like the triangle.

SELECTIONS: IM SANDY BAY (6), ITS YOU NOT ME (4), CHRISKEN COUNTRY (9), BROOKESSMARTDANCER (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TEN

ARMA AUGUSTUS (8) started a short-priced favourite last time out here over the 2040m and he finds another race where he is likely to start short and looks the one to beat. Too strong for them last time out in the breeze, this race is not as strong and a back-to-back success looms here.

WRITEABOUTCHLESEA (7) is a last start Marburg winner from outside the front line. Retreating early, she worked home strongly wide off the track to arrive for a tidy win. Needing a slice of luck from inside the 2nd line here, if she can find space in time, she can look to provide a challenge.

HARRY CROFT (4) has trailed the field in at each of his past 2 starts where he has started from the 2nd line on each occasion. Still searching for a maiden breaking win, the minors are wide-open in this.

NOR WESTA (9) resumes from a spell after a lone start when resuming last campaign. Part of the visiting Scott Hewitt stable, if she can get the right trail home, a placing might be achievable.

SELECTIONS: ARMA AUGUSTUS (8), WRITEABOUTCHLESEA (7), HARRY CROFT (4), NOR WESTA (9)
SUGGESTED BET:
