RACE TWO

VIC HUNTER (2) will strip fitter following his return to the track last start when 1st up in 8 months. Securing the pocket trail, he made a closing dive to get within a half-neck of the winner. With early speed to settle handy, there is a query around the distance, but that same query can be asked of most of these.

TRUMP EM BABE (8) is still a maiden but is getting closer to a victory having placed in her past 3 in succession. Chasing home to grab the silver behind FAIREACHDAINN last start, it followed a 3rd to that same winner after striking some trouble in transit. With even luck she can open the account.

MAJOR GRANDEUR (9) started fav last time out over this trip and after settling in the 1x1 trail could not repel the closing challenge of ARMA AUGUSTUS. With the right cart home, he can feature.

DANCING IN MANOLOS (1) pressed ahead from gate 3 to find the front last start and had to do a tad too much work than she could handle. Fading under the pressure, with an easier time of it, she has claims.

SELECTIONS: VIC HUNTER (2), TRUMP EM BABE (8), MAJOR GRANDEUR (9), DANCING IN MANOLOS (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

FAST IS BETTOR (1) found the pocket trail from gate 2 over the sprint trip at The Creek last start when finishing mid-field but still only 4m in arrears of the winner. A winner from the pocket trail here 4 starts back, she will get early options from the gate.

FAVOURITEHIGHLIGHT (6) has claimed the bronze at her past 2 starts, the latest when working home strongly wide off the track behind JAMAICAN RESORT. A beaten fav the start prior from the 2nd line over the 2138m at AP, she is stung by the wide gate, but she faces a drop in grade in this.

TACTFILLY MAGIC (8) held the 1x1 trail from this gate last time out when working home over the top to claim victory by a narrow margin. Settling in a similar position in this, she can look to repeat.

RISKY BUZINESS (7) was not suited last start when forced to do it the tough way and after the hard run was fading late. 10m away after a similar trip here 2 starts back, he will appreciate a softer run here.

SELECTIONS: FAST IS BETTOR (1), FAVOURITEHIGHLIGHT (6), TACTFILLY MAGIC (8), RISKY BUZINESS (7)
SUGGESTED BET: FAST IS BETTOR (1) to win

RACE FOUR

SIXPENNY RED (7)
was locked away 3 spots back from this gate last start before sprinting sharply when the gaps arrived to claim a smart 3m victory. Grabbed late the start prior when trying lead throughout, she looks set to get the perfect trip from the ace to make the closing shot a winner.

SHEZ GOT BLING (1) has yet to really make an impact since arriving in Qld, but might have found the right conditions here to exploit. Easing forward before claiming the 1x1 trail last start when SIGNOR JUJON took the win, it had followed an unsuited run when facing the breeze. The gate gives her a chance.

DUKE (3) resumes from a spell after a campaign that did not return success when looking to open his Qld account. He will take benefit from this run following a solitary trial and can place 1st up.

CANNAN (9) has placed at his past 2 starts, the latest when easing to the pegs from gate 2. Hitting the line in nice order here 2 starts back behind JAMAICAN RESORT, he can be chiming in late.

SELECTIONS: SIXPENNY RED (7), SHEZ GOT BLING (1), DUKE (3), CANNAN (9)
SUGGESTED BET: SIXPENNY RED (7) to win

RACE FIVE

STUDLEIGH WILL (1) has been around a few times since he last tasted success but importantly comes up with a good alley here. Forced to work hard last start over the 2040m, the effort told as he faded in the run. With the improved gate he can look to hold them wide and will be gripping on.

HIT THE TRACK (5) faces a tricky gate here as he looks to traverse the triangle for the 1st time. Forced to work hard in the run when outside the leader last time out over the AP mile, he was beaten by gate 7 at his 1st run in Qld behind the in-form FOUR STARZZZ FORSA. This looks more suitable.

ACOLTNAMEDSU (3) was locked away on the pegs last start and never got a crack at them when down the line over the 2138m. Rolling forward here 2 starts  back, he can settle close to the action.

ELIZABETHAN ERA (2) rolled forward from gate 4 last time out when mid-field behind MORESCO. Not that far away the start prior from the 2nd line, she has early speed to take a shot in this.

SELECTIONS: STUDLEIGH WILL (1), HIT THE TRACK (5), ACOLTNAMEDSU (3), ELIZABETHAN ERA (2)
SUGGESTED BET: STUDLEIGH WILL (1) to win

RACE SIX

WANJIRU (8) is knocking on the door having placed in 4 of her past 6 starts. Working forward to take control last start, it was a stylish effort in good time when 2m from the winner SOMEHOWSOMEWAY. The gates stings but with the right run in transit she can arrive.

RITCHIE BEE (2) tried to take them all the way last start from the ace and after a steady opening half tried to pinch it out in front. Grabbed in a blanket finish, he held 3rd when a neck from the winner ANNAS BEST. With the early speed to get forward again, he is in the mix.

BARA JAYLA (1) was angled to the pegs last start when taking on a 2nd division qualifier and was sound to the line when 9m in arrears of WHOSTOLEMYPIGEON. With the soft trip on offer, she is a podium hope.

HEADWIN (5) will be further tightened from his latest start when 2nd up from a break. Working forward and rolling the sleeves, he only faded in the closing stages. He can be thereabouts again.

SELECTIONS: WANJIRU (8), RITCHIE BEE (2), BARA JAYLA (1), HEADWIN (5)
SUGGESTED BET: WANJIRU (8) to win

RACE SEVEN

CALLMEDEMARO (1) has been in the money at 3 of his past 4 starts, all of those from the 2nd line. Closing out in good order 2 starts back when 5m from JUSTA DALE over the AP sprint trip, he followed that with a 3rd when wide off the track behind GOLIGHTLY. The improved gate is a big plus.

HUNTAWAY (3) makes his maiden appearance at The Triangle and arrives with 2 placings in his past 5 starts. Grabbing the silver 3 starts back behind A RAINBOW DIAMOND when sticking to the inside, he was gunned down in the closing stages 2 starts back as the fav. He can fire the early bullets.

LUCKY LYLA (7) will take great benefit from her latest hit-out when returning from 12 months on the sidelines. Angled to the pegs for short-cuts, she worked home in nice order. With the easy trip, she can feature.

CHANCELESS CENTURY (8) was beaten by gate 6 over the AP sprint trip last start when too far back in the pack when the power went on up front. With a strong of bad barriers, he will be trying to close out.

SELECTIONS: CALLMEDEMARO (1), HUNTAWAY (3), LUCKY LYLA (7), CHANCELESS CENTURY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: CALLMEDEMARO (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

ROGER THAT (7) has been kept fresh since his last appearance when doing his share of early work to press forward from a wide gate over the AP mile. Trying to work home from wide off the track the start prior over the 2040m, he looks to get the prefect trip here and if hitting the lane with momentum can make the closing shot a winning one.

LITTLE CHANGE (9) took his winning record here at Redcliffe to just on 50% when finishing best to claim victory at the 1780m in scoring his 7th success in 15 starts on this track. Eased from gate 5 to find position, he closed hard to arrive. Fitter for the outing after 2 runs back from a break, he is in the mix.

MAKE MINE JOE (2) is knocking on the door when he finds the right conditions, having placed in 4 of his past 5 appearances. Closing strongly last start when 5m away, he can launch a claim in this.

BUSTN FEELZ GOOD (1) has 2 wins in his past 4 starts on this track, both when using the passing lane to make the closing shot a winning one. With the speed to lead, he can look to fight them off.

SELECTIONS: ROGER THAT (7), LITTLE CHANGE (9), MAKE MINE JOE (2), BUSTN FEELZ GOOD (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-7-9

RACE NINE

ARTISITIC SAINT (6) receives no favours from the wide gate, yet he may just have found a suitable target to end a winless streak dating back to April. Looking to take them all the way over the AP mile 2 starts back, he was grabbed in the closing strides. His last start was sound, and this is within reach.

EULO FLYER (1) can prove tricky to catch yet he strikes the right conditions here and has available options in the early stages. Angled to the pegs last start, he could not go on with it and the start prior was down the line. Repeating his winning effort here 5 starts back over this trip, brings him into calculations.

MONTEREY JACK (2) snagged back from gate 6 last time out over the 1780m before closing in good order to be 8m from the winner JAMAICAN RESORT. With his best gate for some time, he has claims.

JUST WON MORE (9) was eased from gate 4 last start prior to working home strongly wide off the track to grab the silver. Only beaten a half-neck in that contest, he can feature again here.

SELECTIONS: ARTISITIC SAINT (6), EULO FLYER (1), MONTEREY JACK (2), JUST WON MORE (9)
SUGGESTED BET:
