Racing Queensland has announced it will conduct new greyhound meetings throughout 2020/21 at Townsville and Capalaba.
The new race meetings commence next week, with Capalaba racing on Friday 14 August 2020, and Townsville racing on Saturday 15 August 2020.
The program for the Capalaba meeting on Friday 14 August 2020 is as follows:
- Maiden 366m
- Novice 366m
- 5th Grade Bitches 366m
- Pathways 5th Grade 366m
- Masters 5th Grade 366m
- Graded Races As Required
Kennelling times are 9.05am to 10.05am with the first race at 11.05am.
Nominations for this meeting close on Tuesday 11 August at 9.30am. Scratchings close on Thursday morning at 8.30am.
The program for the Townsville meeting on Saturday 15 August 2020 is as follows:
- Townsville Cup Prelude 498m
- Maiden 380m
- Novice 380m
- 5th Grade Bitches 380m
- Best 8 380m
- 0-2 wins 498m
- Graded races as required.
Kennelling times are 7.15am to 8.15am with the first race at 9.00am.
Nominations for this meeting close on Wednesday 12 August at 9.30am. Scratchings close on Friday morning at 8.30am.
There will be extensive changes to the greyhound calendar throughout the remainder of August and September brought about by the Rockhampton track closure for 3 weeks from 13 August, and the additional timeslots on Friday’s and Saturday’s.
