RACE TWO

FIRE EYES (5) will take good benefit from his return to the track last start where he was hitting the line in nice order behind the subsequent winner IAMAJOYRIDE. A winner at his last appearance here back in January before going for a break, he has hit the board in all 5 starts here on The Triangle and despite the gate finds a winnable race.

INZANIGHT (8) broke through for her first victory here 3 starts back when settling at the rear of the pack before powering home over the top of them to take the prize. Stuck in traffic last start, she could have been closer with a smoother passage and with even luck here will be closing hard.

WHATA OPTIMIST (3) has started from the 2nd line at his past 2 starts, the latest when buried away as the race was controlled near the front end. Tackling a strong AP mile the start prior, he has podium claims in this.

AUNTY EMILY (6) has struggled to put it all together and has the ODM embargo to go along with it. Banished to the trials 2 starts back, if she can maintain her gait, this is the right type of race for her to show some improvement.

SELECTIONS: FIRE EYES (5), INZANIGHT (8), WHATA OPTIMIST (3), AUNTY EMILY (6)
SUGGESTED BET: FIRE EYES (5) to win

RACE THREE

TODAYS HERO (4)
has been without a win for some time now and lands gate 4 again after starting from this same barrier in 4 of his past 5 starts. Down the line last start behind THE LAST DRAGON, he finds a race that might be his chance to breakthrough. With many of these searching for a return to form, if he can limit the burn he might just sneak home with this.

AURORA ROSE (8) sat in the running line before making full advantage of a slick 3rd split set by the leader at Marburg 3 runs back and made the closing shot a winning one. Unable to reel in the winner last start from the pocket trail, she can get the right cart into this to challenge.

PATCHWORK JET (6) released from gate 1 last start and thereafter from the pocket trail could only manage a 2m 2nd behind CANNAN. Sound to the line the start prior from a wide gate, he has no favours again from wide out.

HURRIKANE SPECIAL (7) made the most of a cosy trip in behind the speed at Marburg last time out when finding the gap to finish best and claim the prize. Probing for runs again here, she is a place chance.

SELECTIONS: TODAYS HERO (4), AURORA ROSE (8), PATCHWORK JET (6), HURRIKANE SPECIAL (7)
SUGGESTED BET: TODAYS HERO (4) to win

RACE FOUR

CAPTAIN THUNDERBOLT (8)
was luckless here last start when searching for the gaps that did not arrive in time when 6m from the winner. Settling back in the pack the start prior, he had the closing power to descend on them and pinch it in the stretch. Following through from this gate, he can arrive again.

ILLBEWATCHING (4) has been a model of consistency lately, hitting the board in 9 of his past 11 starts. Locked away from inside the 2nd line last time out, he was charging late to be just a half-head from the winner. Powering over the top of them here 2 starts back, he has challenging claims.

THE LAST DRAGON (2) has jumped out of the ground in recent outings, completing a hat-trick of wins here last start when leading throughout. From the gate he can feature once again.

DOWNTOWN LUCCA (3) pressed forward to find the pegs before taking cover last start and then via the passing lane made a closing dive when 2m away. Settling handy he can feature once again.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAIN THUNDERBOLT (8), ILLBEWATCHING (4), THE LAST DRAGON (2), DOWNTOWN LUCCA (3)
SUGGESTED BET: CAPTAIN THUNDERBOLT (8) to win

RACE FIVE

THE RAGNBONE MAN (2) is at his best when able to dictate terms and he lands the gate to take fulla advantage of his preferred pattern here. Not suited last start from back in the pack when trying to chase, the 2138m was out of his range the start prior. With 1 win in just 3 attempts at the track, this will be his first opportunity to dictate on The Triangle.

AROONA (1) should secure the ideal trip in behind the speed here and be ready to take his shot in the stretch. Shuffled back in the running line at his past 2 outings, he closed out in nice order here 3 starts back when midfield. With the economical trip, he can be ready to take the snipers shot.

LIVING FREE (9) started from the 2nd line here last start when sent to the post as favourite. Saved for the closing shot, he powered over the top of them to take the prize and will be swooping again.

WILD ABOUT TOWN (7) should enjoy the economical trip here without having to spend a penny in the run. Wider gates have hampered him in recent starts but the easy trip here should suit.

SELECTIONS: THE RAGNBONE MAN (2), AROONA (1), LIVING FREE (9), WILD ABOUT TOWN (7)
SUGGESTED BET: THE RAGNBONE MAN (2) to win

RACE SIX

JEWEL OF PEAK (4)
was a winner when firing off the arm from the three-hole here 3 starts back and taking hold of the race from the front was then able to dictate in claiming a 2m victory. Tackling far tougher events at her next 2 outings, she can show the early hustle and taking control will take catching.

SCHEU CREEK (3) was a Marburg winner 2 starts back when sent forward from outside the front line to take control and was never headed thereafter. Rolling forward from gate 6 here last time out, he was asked to do it the tough way and was grinding hard when 6m in arrears. The improved gate is a big plus.

FRANCO NANDOR (9) made the most of finding the front here 2 starts back when taking them all the way from gate 4 to score a narrow victory. Gunned down last start, he will be chasing hard here.

GET READY TO ROCK (5) was runner-up last start after working hard in the run when sent around them in the early stages to sit parked. Hitting the board in 7 of 10 here at Redcliffe, she made need to work again but is up to the task.

SELECTIONS: JEWEL OF PEAK (4), SCHEU CREEK (3), FRANCO NANDOR (9), GET READY TO ROCK (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

JAZIAH (1)
has early speed and from this alley can look to fire the first shots. Looking to take them all the way from gate 2 here 2 starts back, she was collared in the closing strides as FLO RYDA arrived, Buried in the run from inside the 2nd line last start, she has the gate to land a breakthrough.

MAC SWEENEY (7) eased from gate 4 to secure position last start and from back in the pack could not get warm in the closing stages as the winner had the easy trip in behind the speed. Taking them all the way over the AP mile 2 starts back when 2nd up from a spell, he can be ready to snipe here.

LA PISTOLA (8) has been runner-up at his past 2 starts, the latest after finding the pocket trail from gate 3 and holding on for the silver behind MISS VICTORIA. A 3 poles play looks on offer here where he can chime on off the cosy trip.

MY ULTIMATE BONDI (6) was a winner here 4 starts back when sent forward to face the breeze from gate 5 and proved too strong in taking the prize. He has found them a little out of reach from tough gates against better opposition his past 3 and a return to Redcliffe suits.

SELECTIONS:
JAZIAH (1), MAC SWEENEY (7), LA PISTOLA (8), MY ULTIMATE BONDI (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-6-7-8

RACE EIGHT

MAJOR LESTER (2)
settled in the 1x1 trail last start and could not warm up over the latter stages as BLISSFULDAY capitalised. Setting the speed over the AP mile 2 starts back, he could not see it out as the in-form YEP GOT CHOOKS claimed the prize. From this gate, he finds his chance to cash-in.

GOSLING IN FLIGHT (1) was required to do some early work when pressing forward from gate 4 to find position but was unable to go on with it over the closing stages. A Marburg winner 3 starts back when pressing forward to take control, he has the options from the gate to make a challenge.

GOTTAHAVEAHOBBIE (6) has hit the board in 6 of his 9 appearances here at Redcliffe with is past 3 starts all at Albion Park from 2nd line barriers. Running into the hot BITCOIN at his past 2, back to his line up suits.

BRIAN CHRISTOPHER (5) rolled forward from gate 3 to sit parked last start and grinding it out proved too tough in claiming a smart win over the 2040m trip. The gate stings but his record here is strong.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR LESTER (2), GOSLING IN FLIGHT (1), GOTTAHAVEAHOBBIE (6), BRIAN CHRISTOPHER (5)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR LESTER (2) to win

RACE NINE

ROCKNROLL DUDE (9) landed gate 1 here 2 starts back when taking full advantage and leading throughout in claiming a strong win over the 2040m. Tackling a qualifier last start over the mile, his closing splits were strong from the 2nd line when only 4m in arrears. He can be swooping again.

CARLOS BROMAC (2) found his race here last start from inside the 2nd line and with the perfect trail made the closing shot a winning one. A beaten red figure fav here 2 starts back, he has been kept fresh since the last start win and from this gate can make a strong challenge.

ARK ME (1) has a smart record here at the track and comes up with all the options from this alley. 3m from WESTAR SAM 2 starts back, she has the early hustle to dictate her position for this.

WESTAR SAM (7) was shooting for a hat-trick last start when entered in the same qualifier that RONCKNROLL DUDE competed in. Angled to the pegs, it was a tidy effort and with the cosy trip can be making a closing play in this.

SELECTIONS: ROCKNROLL DUDE (9), CARLOS BROMAC (2), ARK ME (1), WESTAR SAM (7)
SUGGESTED BET:
