RACE ONE

All the power looks drawn out the back in this open contest where WATTS UP SUNSHINE (10) can look to add another AP victory to his card after a somewhat mixed Winter campaign. Eased to the poles last start to be 6m from THE HONEY QUEEN, he found the line in nice style the start prior behind BEYOND DELIGHT. With the right tempo, he can descend on them.

ROCKIN WITH ELVIS (11) has been runner-up in both appearances here at The Creek, the latest when firing off the arm to set the tempo from gate 6 in the JC McMullen where he was able to hold 2nd behind the mighty impressive BETTOR ISOLATE. Despite the tough gate, he can shake, rattle and roll.

THE RACONTUER (3) held the front here last week in stronger company and given the stink eye through the opening 1200m, was forced into releasing, and then faded in the latter stages. Limiting the early burn will be key to his chances.

OBI ONE (4) was not suited here last week at the 2138m when doing some work in the run, fading as a result. Gate 7 was his undoing the start prior chasing BEYOND DELIGHT and with the right luck here, he can be closer.

SELECTIONS: WATTS UP SUNSHINE (10), ROCKIN WITH ELVIS (11), THE RACONTUER (3), OBI ONE (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TWO

Putting the power on here last week and bullying his way to the front over the 2138m trip, SQUIRE (8) was vulnerable in the closing stages after working hard in a slick 56.6 opening half. Fighting hard to be just 8m from THE HONEY QUEEN, he will get the economical trip here and tucked away will be ready to take the snipers shot.

TIZ A SIZZLER (7) was mighty impressive here last week when powering up wide off the track after retreating from this same alley at the middle trip. Laying out a slick individual last 800m in sub 55 three and four wide, he faces the tough gate and will need to step up again but looks up to the challenge.

PARAVANI (1) fired out from the centre of the line here on Tuesday to take control and leading them into the stretch, was nailed up the passing lane. This is a tougher battle, but he has the speed to dictate.

THREE IN HEAVEN (10) is fresh up here after his last outing where he was asked to grind it out first over. That was a tough effort with a sub 55 last 800m as BIG WHEELS arrived and despite the tricky gate, he can join in.

SELECTIONS: SQUIRE (8), TIZ A SIZZLER (7), PARAVANI (1), THREE IN HEAVEN (10)
SUGGESTED BET: SQUIRE (8) to win

RACE THREE

Not a great deal of luck has been going the way of JERADAS DEIGHT (1) since she claimed a mare’s event here five runs back. 3rd in the G1 Golden Girl three back when sent around them to sit parked, she has a great turn of hoof when saved and stalking the speed from this alley can look to make the closing shot a winning one.

MACH DA VINCI (2) found the front from this same alley last time out at the 2680m trip and was fighting hard to the wire when 4m from the joint winners. 2m away in 3rd as ROCKIN MARTY arrived two starts back, he can look for the lamp lighting duties here and gets his chance to see it out.

CRUNCH TIME (4) tackled the 2138m last start where he set the tempo from gate 1 with a relatively comfortable opening half. Unable to see it out to be 5m from the winner, a return to the mile helps but he looks set to be working.

COLT THIRTY ONE (10) found the 1x1 trail last start from gate 3 and chased hard for the bronze when 4m in arrears of STAR GALLERIA. The gate does not help his search for career win number 50.

SELECTIONS: JERADAS DEIGHT (1), MACH DA VINCI (2), CRUNCH TIME (4), COLT THIRTY ONE (10)
SUGGESTED BET: JERADAS DEIGHT (1) to win

RACE FOUR

After some eye-catching performances to suggest a win was not far away, THE IRISH EAGLE (1) landed last start on the Triangle to frank his efforts. Powering over the top from the second line to take the prize, it followed a 2m 3rd behind MY ULTIMATE COBBER. With all the options from the ace, he can arrive.

MISTERY ROAD (5) has been in consistent touch, hitting the board at his past five in succession that includes a win here over the mile. Grafting it out first over in that win, he followed it with a similarly starchy effort at Redcliffe when 3rd. He will likely need to roll the sleeves again here to challenge.

TEAGAN BANNER (4) released the speed after being first to the poles last time out and then with the saloon passage up the lane was nabbed by ONE BIG SHEW off his back. He can make a play here.

NICKS PICK (10) has been kept fresh since his last outing where he was down the line after settling rearward from gate 4 in a similar qualifier claimed by the smart TRIPLE FOUR. Tracking into the contest he is a podium hope.

SELECTIONS: THE IRISH EAGLE (1), MISTERY ROAD (5), TEAGAN BANNER (4), NICKS PICK (10)
SUGGESTED BET: THE IRISH EAGLE (1) to win

RACE FIVE

Trying to muster the speed out of the machine last week, DANCE IN THE SUN (1) could not get across and was forced to sit parked which led to her downfall. Unable to cope as they approached the home turn, she battled gamely to finish midfield. Back to the ace gives her every opportunity to take control of this.

WINONA WRITER (9) is going better than her numbers may suggest, with her run last week returning a duck egg after striking trouble in the run and the start prior putting up a tidy effort from the running line when the trifecta was all on the poles. With the right trip, she can issue a challenge.

LADY AVANA (5) is another that is going better than the figures suggest, her latest effort full of merit when trying to make ground from the second line behind SUGAR FOR MY HONEY. The gate makes the task tricky here.

SOHO ALMASI (10) was out the gate in the market here last week from gate 6 and despite setting the tempo from gate 6 and securing a 60.7 opening half, could not repel them. The gate makes it no easier.

SELECTIONS: DANCE IN THE SUN (1), WINONA WRITER (9), LADY AVANA (5), SOHO ALMASI (10)
SUGGESTED BET: DANCE IN THE SUN (1) to win

RACE SIX

Placed in 3 of his past 4 starts and two of those in Qualifying company, GENERAL MONTANA (3) looks to find his opportunity to open the Metro account. Worried out of it by the talented 3YO TEDDY DISCO last start, he was gunned down when drifting up the track here two back. This is his chance to dictate for redemption.

ASTERISM (1) sat in the trail over the 2138m on this deck three starts back and saved for the closing shot was just a head from the winner JENDEN STRIKE. Gate 12 was his undoing two runs back and the last time could not go when the power went on. With the easy trip, he will be ready to snipe.

RYANS GANGSTER (8) eased from gate 5 here on Tuesday with plenty of speed to his inside and from the fence, the effort was sound behind TARGARYEN. Runner-up in 4 of his previous 5, he will be probing the poles.

FALCONS (10) was charging home last week when it was all over to finish 5m adrift of the winner JUMPING JACK JIMMY. Saved up, he will again be trying to launch a closing raid.

SELECTIONS: GENERAL MONTANA (3), ASTERISM (1), RYANS GANGSTER (8), FALCONS (10)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 3 / 1-8-10/ 1-8-9-10

RACE EIGHT

With just 1 win from 9 appearances here at The Creek, CALA JANE (1) looks to have found conditions to make an addition here. A passing lane winner in mid-week company three back, she was buried at her next attempt and then last week was beaten by gate 7. With the right trip, she can arrive.

JENDEN STRIKE (5) started from gate 1 in the Queen of Hearts and after being buried in the run, chased hard to hold 3rd behind FAIRY TINKABELL. Strong to the line last time when breaking 55 for her last 800 chasing STAR GALLERIA, this is a big class drop and she looms large.

SHES MISS DEVINE (3) will take good benefit from her latest outing where she was resuming in her 4YO term. Taken back from gate 6, she never really got warm against the tempo, but this gate is a big plus.

GIRL FROM OZ (8) settled in the 1x1 trail last week where she was first up in 4 weeks and chased to finish midfield behind SLICK SOPHIE. Tightened from the run, she will be probing off the cosy trip.

SELECTIONS: CALA JANE (1), JENDEN STRIKE (5), SHES MISS DEVINE (3), GIRL FROM OZ (8)
SUGGESTED BET: CALA JANE (1) to win

RACE NINE

Starting from the inside alley for the 41st time in his career, OUR BONDI BEACH (1) looks to have found the ideal conditions to add another win to the form card. Grabbing 3rd to BALLERINI two runs back, he was again 3rd along the passing lane last time behind SAM IS PERFECTION. This looks firmly in the wheelhouse.

MAFUTA VAUTIN (7) started from inside the second line last week and stuck to the poles as SAM IS PERFECTION controlled proceedings from the front. With some nice closing hustle to get past OUR BONDI BEACH and grab the silver, he will find it harder from the outside but cannot be ignored.

NOTORIOUS (2) takes his first shot at the veteran’s grade as he tries to turn his campaign around after struggling to get going this time in. Down the line last start from inside the second line, he can fire some early bullets.

SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (3) eased from gate 4 last time to find the poles and chased hard to be 7m in arrears of SAM IS PERFECTION. In this line-up he looks a podium hope.

SELECTIONS: OUR BONDI BEACH (1), MAFUTA VAUTIN (7), NOTORIOUS (2), SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR BONDI BEACH (1) to win

RACE TEN

Since arriving in Qld, KING OF THE NORTH (2) has been to the track on 5 occasions where he has been in the top-two on each occasion. Coming into this with three successive victories on the mid-week circuit, he scored over this trip last start in smart order and gets the chance to make the rise.

JUSTABITNOISY (1) has been without a win since March but his form in that time has been consistent and he is never far from the action. Angled to the passing lane in the G1 Trotters Cup last start, he closed out in nice order along the passing lane. He will be closer to the action to challenge.

VAN SANK (7) was facing the second line last time out in the mobile Qld Cup and was attacking the line smartly in the closing stages to be just 7m from the winner. Just a neck away in the sprint the start prior, he is in the mix.

WEE MAN TROUBLE (8) will need to overcome the big 40m impost here following his last start victory in the Trotters Cup. Charging home to arrive in the big one, saved for the last shot will help.

SELECTIONS: KING OF THE NORTH (2), JUSTABITNOISY (1), VAN SANK (7), WEE MAN TROUBLE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: KING OF THE NORTH (2) to win
