RACE ONE

A winner on debut when sweeping down the outside to take victory, RAZZLEME DAZZLEME (5) has been freshened since his last appearance. Making an error to end his chances second up, he then was not all that clean last start. Fromm the 10m he can take time to balance up and arrive.

HOLD MY HAT DOUG (3) was sent to the post in red figures here last week where he pressed on in the early stages to work to the front. Unable to repel the closing power of NELLIE JOY, he was best of the rest to claim 2nd for the 4th time in his career. Can today be the day.

THE EMULATOR (1) started and trotted perfectly on debut, finding the front and then only collared in the closing stages. She made a mess of it last week second up but can feature here if the manners return.

SELECTIONS: RAZZLEME DAZZLEME (5), HOLD MY HAT DOUG (3), THE EMULATOR (1)
SUGGESTED BET: RAZZLEME DAZZLEME (5) to win

RACE TWO

PADDY PANTS (3) started from this same handicap last week and found himself hemmed away in the run before making a closing raid to be 5m from the winner JUST CALL ME MOLLY. A starting error was his downfall two starts back and if he can lob a handy spot here, can look to claim the prize.

THE REAPER (9) was a winner here three starts back when starting from the front line and finding himself setting the tempo. A passing lane 2nd to KING OF THE NORTH at his next outing, he was chasing from the 30m here last week when not too far off the winner and can challenge here.

WILLIS GRAHAM (2) worked his way into the pocket trail last start and via the passing lane was 5m astern of the winner. That was his best result since arriving in Qld and he can build off that here.

JUST CALL ME MOLLY (4) was able to overturn a win drought here last week that had extended over two years. Stepping to the front, she took them all the way and that winning confidence can help.

SELECTIONS: PADDY PANTS (3), THE REAPER (9), WILLIS GRAHAM (2), JUST CALL ME MOLLY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: PADDY PANTS (3) to win

RACE THREE

Another of the Brad Hewitt team to be left with Shane Graham following the conclusion of the carnival, RONALDO (5) ended his chances with an error last start in a strong contest claimed by BEYOND DELIGHT. Collared in the stretch by CRIME WRITER the start prior, he looks too classy.

BLACK HAWK JOE (2) eased from gate 6 here last week to find position in a 70Heat but turning for home did not look comfortable and jumped it off to end his chances. Charging home to claim a 70Final two starts back after being locked away three back on the poles, he has he gate to challenge.

KASH US BACK (6) resumes from a spell after his last appearance came back in January. Clashing with some handy performers prior to his spell, he has trialled soundly and can fill a minor.

SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (4) will be on the back-up from Saturday and will find this a step up after tackling veteran’s grade in recent outings. The smaller field will help his podium claims.

SELECTIONS: RONALDO (5), BLACK HAWK JOE (2), KASH US BACK (6), SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: RONALDO (5) to win

RACE FOUR

Making the most of gate 2 here three runs back, JILLIBY TYPHOON (4) fired out to take control and then dictated a dominant victory by 21m. A wide gate was her undoing behind SMIRKS LIKA BOSS at her next start and was only grabbed last time by FRANKIE FEROCIOUS. The gate and against her own sex looks ideal.

CHEER LEADER (10) had trialled in nice order in readiness for her debut and landed the ace first up which saw her sent out deep into the red. Leading every step bar the one that counted when beaten a neck, she veered out sharply after the line. With another smart trial, she can look to challenge.

MIKI MAGIC (9) eased to the poles to find position from gate 4 last start and with the quiet trip then owned the closing speed to arrive in time and nab CHEER LEADER. She can be joining in again.

LADY DIGBY (2) was a winner here four starts back when finishing best despite starting from the second line. Placed in all three runs since the victory, she can be close enough to feature once again.

SELECTIONS: JILLIBY TYPHOON (4), CHEER LEADER (10), MIKI MAGIC (9), LADY DIGBY (2)
SUGGESTED BET: JILLIBY TYPHOON (4) to win

RACE FIVE

With wins in 2 of his 3 career appearances, the tough gate will make FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (6) earn it here, but he looks a classy customer. Winning on debut in Saturday night company, he beat himself second up and was sent for a break. Resuming with a swooping win in a strong closing 800m split, he will be tightened from the run.

THE TAX CULLECTOR (9) has won 2 of 4 and was tipped out for a let up following the Breeders Classic last time out where he finished at the tail of the field as the $1.30 favourite. A smart trial where he was never taken off a helmet to prepare for this, he can look to take the closing shot.

CRADOCK (2) added another minor to the tally last start to make it 6 of his 12 for the term in the placings. Making a closing dive to get within a half-head of the winner, he can show some early hustle.

HEZA GALVINATOR (1) is still chasing the elusive victory and has had the most starts of any 2YO in Qld this season in search of the breakthrough. With his best gate in some time, he has place claims.

SELECTIONS: FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (6), THE TAX CULLECTOR (9), CRADOCK (2), HEZA GALVINATOR (1)
SUGGESTED BET: FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (6) to win

RACE SIX

Stepping up to a much tougher 70Heat last start when resuming from a spell, TARGARYEN (6) had the prefect trip in the trail before darting along the passing lane to take the prize. That was off the back of a smart trial, he will be tightened from the run, and this is an easier contest.

HEZ ON THE BUZZER (1) settled in the 1x1 trail after starting from the second line here four runs back and when produced had the speed to claim a narrow win at the 2138m trip. Best of the rest behind MR IBIZA at his next appearance, FUTURE ASSURED was too slick for him last start. The gate is a big plus.

BRIDGE COIN (9) was having his first run here at The Creek two starts back when landing gate 7 he retreated early and was trying to make closing metres as AWAYWEGO arrived. Strong to the line at Redcliffe last start, he can be joining in here.

HE SAID SHE SAID (10) has not had much go his way in two runs since securing the ideal trip and claiming a passing lane win here three runs back. The gate does him no favours again.

SELECTIONS: TARGARYEN (6), HEZ ON THE BUZZER (1), BRIDGE COIN (9), HE SAID SHE SAID (10)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 6 / 1-5-9-10

RACE EIGHT

Arriving from Victoria for Peter Manning, CAPTAIN FOXTROT (8) brings a smart record that shows a pair of wins and 6 minors in his 11 outings. Buried away last start and chasing in vain as the talented PETRACCA put them away, he had won both starts leading into that contest. He can defy the potentially tricky gate.

REDS STAR DEAL (9) was a debut winner from the 1x1 trail at Redcliffe when claiming an effortless 2m margin. Fresh since that win back in mid-June, he has been at the trials where he was strong to the line without being asked for much and should get the trail through to challenge.

CARTER GRANT (4) has continued to step up at each appearance for the term, finishing 4m away in 2nd from SMIRKS LIKA BOSS. With the right trip he can be making a play.

REGAZZO DI TILLY (3) has been kept fresh sine his last outing it the Redcliffe Sales Final where he struck trouble in the run. Runner-up to MULLUM AXEL in the Breeders Classic five runs back, he is a podium hope here.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAIN FOXTROT (8), REDS STAR DEAL (9), CARTER GRANT (4), REGAZZO DI TILLY (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

Facing gate 10 last week, the effort of TRIPLE FOUR (6) to grab the silver when 3m adrift of the passing lane winner TARGARYEN was solid. Wider off the track, his closing splits were strong and finding another race here where the early tempo looks strong, he can go one better this time.

SO AM I (1) was obliged to roll the sleeves last start, was not suited and faded as a result as BETTOR ISOLATE blasted clear for one of the most impressive wins of the carnival in the JC McMullen. Just a neck from CANTFINDABETTORMAN three runs back, he lands all the favours from this gate to challenge.

HY VOLTAGE (4) fired out to take control and had them rolling in front last start and was strong to the line to be 4m away in 3rd as TARGARYEN landed the winning blow. It was BLACK HAWK JOE that descended to nail him the start prior and he will be gripping on again.

FLYING ART (8) rolled forward to find position from gate 6 last start and finding running line cover, could not go when TEDDY DISCO put the power on. Not far away two starts back, he has second line options.

SELECTIONS: TRIPLE FOUR (6), SO AM I (1), HY VOLTAGE (4), FLYING ART (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-4-6-8

RACE TEN

Undefeated in a pair of starts since arriving in Qld with Ronny Sallis, CAPTAIN BRAVEHEART (2) finds conditions to go in search of the hat-trick. Doing it wasy at Redcliffe first up, he went over the 2138m here second up and with a retake did it easy in front. The threepeat is on.

SOHO CASABLANCA (1) settled in the 1x trail last start and was making a closing play to be 3m from the winner. Not suited when sitting parked two starts back, there was four weeks between runs, so he should take some benefit from last start. With the improved gate, he can be ready to strike.

MAYWYN TROUBADOR (7) fired out from gate 5 last time before taking cover and then was best of the chasing pack behind the impressive FUTURE ASSURED. Too gritty here three back, he can get forward to feature.

VINDICATE (8) was first up from a spell and in Qld here last week when from this same alley she was buried four back and never got a crack at them. A similar fate might unfold here.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAIN BRAVEHEART (2), SOHO CASABLANCA (1), MAYWYN TROUBADOR (7), VINDICATE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: CAPTAIN BRAVEHEART (2) to win
