RACE TWO

DOOLITTLE DOOFY (5) sat in the breeze last start and dug in for 3rd with plenty of those back in the field having their chance to run-on. He found the line fairly from the 2nd line 2 starts back and despite facing a tricky gate here is worth a throw at the stumps in an open contest.

MODERN THOUGHT (3) was snagged back early last start and was a long way back in transit. The return to the triangle after her last start was at AP is a bonus and with good early speed she can look for the pegs and is in the mix here.

MISS ROB ROY (8) was locked away on the pegs at Marburg last start and never had a decent shot at them when 6m from the winner. Luckless here 2 starts back she is a place player in this line up/

MANWITHTHEESKI (10) looked to take them all the way last start at Marburg and was fighting when grabbed late by INCITER. That followed a tough run in stronger company and he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: DOOLITTLE DOOFY (5), MODERN THOUGHT (3), MISS ROB ROY (8), MANWITHTHEESKI (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

BIG BEAT (8) faces a big class drop after taking on a 2nd division qualifier last start and after snagging back the run had merit behind SOMEMONDOSOMEWHERE. That followed a 2nd over the sprint trip here and he only needs even luck to make the most of his chances to breakthrough.

TRAIN WRECK (10) showed the benefit of added fitness and the right conditions when proving too strong last start over the AP mile. That followed a 2nd when hitting the line strongly from back in the pack and he will be swooping home in the closing stages again here.

CONTRARY COURAGE (2) started from the 2nd line last start and was working home in good order to claim the bronze. That followed a nice effort and from an improved gate she has claims.

VILLAGE CRUISER (9) did some early work last start when trying to find position before fading late. 3rd over the AP mile 3 starts back behind ACT OF VALOR, he can be chiming in here.

SELECTIONS: BIG BEAT (8), TRAIN WRECK (10), CONTRARY COURAGE (2), VILLAGE CRUISER (9)
SUGGESTED BET: BIG BEAT (8) to win

RACE FOUR

SEA HAWKE (4)
will strip fitter for his return to the track to start his 3YO term last start when returning a tidy effort. Settling in the running line he was closing out in good order when 4m from the winner TAXI METER. He looks to get the gate advantage over his main rivals and can capitalise.

MONTANA CHIEF (7) was after a hat-trick of victories on Tues when angled down to the pegs and looking for short-cuts. Working away from the pegs in the stretch he chased home for the bronze behind LEFT A TERROR in strong time for the 2138m. With a slice of luck he can work into this.

LIFES BLACK (8) returned for his 3YO term last start and was well supported in the market from gate 5 over the AP mile. Too far back in the run he didn’t really challenge. He can be much sharper here.

MISS MIA (5) made an error last start which sees her banished to an outside draw. Settling back in the pack there was plenty to like on how she found the line and she can podium in this.

SELECTIONS: SEA HAWKE (4), MONTANA CHIEF (7), LIFES BLACK (8), MISS MIA (5)
SUGGESTED BET: SEA HAWKE (4) to win

RACE FIVE

GOLDEN YEAR (8) lands in this on a big class drop and despite coming up with the 2nd line he looks to have too much class for his opponents. He did plenty of work in the run last start when mid-field behind DAPPER which followed a mid-field finish behind FAME ASSURED. Looks too sharp for these.

FORTES IN FIDES (3) has a solid record here on the triangle and with good early speed can look to make play early. Spearing out from gate 5 to find the pegs over the 2040m here 2 starts back he was able to take them all the way and last start wasn’t too far away. Will give plenty of cheek.

MYBELLA ROSE (1) has been in the top 2 at her past 4 in succession and capitalised last start when finishing strongly from the 2nd line to score over the 1780m. This is harder but she gets the gate.

VINNIE THE POET (7) was forced to do too much work last start and the effort took its toll when fading out to be well beaten. Back to a cosy trip here suits and he can chime in late.

SELECTIONS: GOLDEN YEAR (8), FORTES IN FIDES (3), MYBELLA ROSE (1), VINNIE THE POET (7)
SUGGESTED BET: GOLDEN YEAR (8) to win

RACE SIX

ADRIFT (1)
was a strong winner over the 2040m here 3 starts back when sent around to the breeze and packing too many guns. Last start from gate 12 he was saved for one shot and working home wide off the track arrived for the prize. With the inside gate advantage he looks hard to stop.

BET IM SPECIAL (3) might find this a bit easier than what he has been facing in recent starts where he has been not far away from some handy performers. He didn’t have the cleanest passage last start when only 7m from FRANCO TOTEM and settling handy can throw down the challenge.

TED WEST (4) was sent forward from gate 6 at AP 2 starts back and taking over was able to hold them off to score over the 2138m trip. Luckless last start he can look to bounce back here.

ONE WISE MAN (5) was sound to the line last start when 7m from the dictating winner SOMEMONDOSOMEWHERE. Struggling to find his best he can look for improvement here.

SELECTIONS: ADRIFT (1), BET IM SPECIAL (3), TED WEST (4), ONE WISE MAN (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

NIKALONG HENRY (3) is going a little better than his numbers may suggest and finds the right race to cash-in. His run 4 starts back in a 2nd division qualifier was full of merit and then he made an error at his next start. He hit the line nicely 2 starts back and he is worth a chance to take this.

SHERIFF JUJON (1) returned from a spell in fine style when finishing strongly wide off the track after starting from gate 6 over the 1780m trip. From gate 3 last start he found running line cover when he was fair to the line behind SAMMARI. With the benefit of the gate he can ask the questions.

BACK PAGE NEWS (8) found his race here 2 starts back and turned around a long winless streak when taking them all the way over the sprint trip. Look for him finishing off late.

BLUE EYED CREATION (2) made the most of his chances last start when finding the pegs 1st before releasing and then making a winning play up the passing lane. He won’t be far away again.

SELECTIONS: NIKALONG HENRY (3), SHERIFF JUJON (1), BACK PAGE NEWS (8), BLUE EYED CREATION (2)
SUGGESTED BET: NIKALONG HENRY (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

IM FREE FALLING (1)
has been runner-up at his past 3 starts and been run down on all 3 occasions when leading them up. Last start over the AP mile he set a solid tempo when nabbed by the handy BLUE MOON RISING. Only beaten a head and a half-head the previous 2, this looks his day.

ROCKNROLL EMMA (9) was sent forward to the breeze here 3 starts back when making her Qld debut and fought gamely to go down by a head. Her past 2 have been in stronger company than she meets here including a last start 6m margin to SHARDS HALO. The gate hurts but she can challenge.

ARBIT MAJOR (3) was rewarded for his consistency last start when taking them all the way from gate 2 over the 2040m trip. That followed 5 successive 2nd placed runs and he won’t be far away again.

MO JARNEY (8) was an all the way winner here 2 starts back when getting keen in the lead but packing too many guns to score. He can look for the pegs and an easy trip here to finish off late.

SELECTIONS: IM FREE FALLING (1), ROCKNROLL EMMA (9), ARBIT MAJOR (3), MO JARNEY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: IM FREE FALLING (1) to win

RACE NINE

ELMS CREEK (8)
will be having his 3rd local start and despite coming up with a tricky gate can look to open his Qld account. He was a long way back in the run over the 2138m at AP 2 starts back when trying to work home and last start was locked away and couldn’t pick them up late. He can bounce back.

SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT (4) put together successive victories here on the triangle and then at Redcliffe. Slammed with 2nd line gates at his next 2 starts he has been working home strongly in each to pick up a minor. Returning to the front line he can look to make the most of his chances.

DESTINY WARRIOR (10) makes his Qld debut and arrives a last start winner at Dubbo. Looking in a tricky spot when locked away, he sprinted sharply when the gaps opened. 1st up for a month he will benefit from the hit-out.

WILLSINTOWN (6) has no favours from this gate but has been racing consistently and last start was rewarded when leading all the way to a comfortable victory. He can be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: ELMS CREEK (8), SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT (4), DESTINY WARRIOR (10), WILLSINTOWN (6)
SUGGESTED BET: ELMS CREEK (8) to win
