RACE TWO

Only lightly raced JUST DEAL IT (1) will be close to a fitness peak after 4 runs back from a spell and lands the perfect gate to utilise her early speed. In for the fight after doing plenty of work in the run last start, she held on for the bronze behind DAPPER. She can capitalise off the ace to score.

GOTTA BE DOWNTOWN (9) was wide off the track at Menangle last start when fading late in a strong closing 800m. 2 starts back she was closing well to grab the bronze when 6m from the winner and with the right early trail to secure position can be in the fight here.

ALE ALE KAI (2) has been racing well since arriving in Qld and last start found the line in some sharp closing panels at Redcliffe to score. Luckless here 2 starts back, she won’t be too far away in this.

CHERRYS THE BEST (10) has no favours from this gate but lines up after 3 wins and 2 minors in 6 outings for the season. Her last start win was full of merit and with the right trip, she is right in this.

SELECTIONS: JUST DEAL IT (1), GOTTA BE DOWNTOWN (9), ALE ALE KAI (2), CHERRYS THE BEST (10)
SUGGESTED BET: JUST DEAL IT (1) to win

RACE THREE

GOTTA MOMENT (1) eased back from the start here on Tues over this trip and found the 1x1 trail for the last lap after initially being about 20m off the leader as they raced in single-file. The closing tempo set by MUCH BETTOR in front made it tough to chase. If he can get to the lane with momentum, he can make the closing shot a winning one.

TRAIN WRECK (3) held the pocket trail last start and was best of the chasers behind ZAHVEN BANNER to grab the silver. That made it twice in his past 4 starts he has chased that speedster to hold 2nd and not far away the other 2 starts, if he can see out a strong 2138m, he can challenge.

CHARMING MAJOR (9) set a strong tempo in front last start over this trip and was only grabbed in the latter stages when 3rd to BODHI TREE. With the right early trail, he is right in this mix here.

BALLACHULISH (8) makes his 1st AP appearance as part of the visiting Morris team and arrives a last start 2nd at Menangle when working in the run and only beaten a half-neck. Placed in 5 of his past 6, he just needs space.

SELECTIONS: GOTTA MOMENT (1), TRAIN WRECK (3), CHARMING MAJOR (9), BALLACHULISH (8)
SUGGESTED BET: GOTTA MOMENT (1) to win

RACE FOUR

ZAHVEN BANNER (9)
shoots for the hat-trick after successive wins at the mile. Last start he was brutal in the breeze and after putting the leader away at the 800m, cruised home to a 14m victory from gate 6. He loves to roll and sent forward early the threepeat is within reach.

MY MASTERCRAFTSMAN (8) is in nice touch and from this gate should be able to limit the workload and be ready to strike when the gaps open. Finishing over the top to claim victory at the 2138m here 2 starts back, that had followed successive 2nd placed runs. He will be probing for the opening here.

OUR MAJOR DAY (1) lands a long-awaited ace gate and will be looking to capitalise. Spearing out to find the pegs last start, he was worn down in the closing strides and will be gripping on once again.

JUMPING JOLT (3) was hitting the line in nice style here on Tues and the effort was a touch better than the result. The pegs look a good option and if able to sneak down for the short-cuts can place.

SELECTIONS: ZAHVEN BANNER (9), MY MASTERCRAFTSMAN (8), OUR MAJOR DAY (1), JUMPING JOLT (3)
SUGGESTED BET: ZAHVEN BANNER (9) to win

RACE FIVE

SABRAGE (1) will be out to keep his Qld record in-tact after wins at his only 2 starts. Rolling the sleeves and proving too tough in the breeze from gate 6 at Redcliffe 2 starts back, he then made the most of proceedings in dictating in front last start. With peg-line benefits he can go again.

TIN ROOF RAIDER (5) was able to sit off the speed 2 starts back and saved for a closing stretch-drive attack, was able to prove too slippery in scoring. The chair is not ideal, yet he was game in fighting hard from that position last start when only 3m in arrears. Limiting the early burn, he can arrive.

SIR JULIAN (2) is super consistent and added another minor to his tally last start when only a half-head from the winner. A sharp all the way winner here 3 starts back, he can chime in again here.

BEE GEES BANDIT (9) hit the line nicely here on Tues from gate 10 when swooping late. He will get a great trip here with the early scratching and can be ready to produce his moves in the stretch.

SELECTIONS: SABRAGE (1), TIN ROOF RAIDER (5), SIR JULIAN (2), BEE GEES BANDIT (9)
SUGGESTED BET: SABRAGE (1) to win

RACE SIX

The Be Good Johnny only attracts the one inter-state visitor, yet the race still shapes as a great contest, especially with positions 1-5 stacked with early speed. The biggest winner from the barrier draw is MATTGREGOR (1) who lands his best alley for some time. At his best when free-wheeling in front, he has always promised that he had a big win in him and from the ace he gets every chance.

DREAM TO SHARE (8) faces a step up here, but he lands the gate to get the perfect trip and best when saved for a closing shot, finds the ideal conditions. Last start he was sent forward to find position and eventually receiving cover was game when 6m from the winner ALWAYS IN COMMAND. He will be ready to fire the closing shots.

BAD BILLY (9) started fav last time out at Menangle when grabbed late by the flying MUSTANG BART after he loomed up to score. A winner at 2 of his previous 3 starts, he can look for the pegs and the cheap run to chime in late.

MACH ALERT (10) sat in the pocket trail last start and had too much zip up the passing lane to claim the prize here last week. With there likely to be plenty of tempo and the 3-wide line moving a long way from home. He can duck and weave into the minors in a race where there are plenty of chances for the minor money including the in-form duo of SAMS THE MASTER (4) and ALWAYS IN COMMAND (5).

SELECTIONS: MATTGREGOR (1), DREAM TO SHARE (8), BAD BILLY (9), MACH ALERT (10)
SUGGESTED BET: DREAM TO SHARE (8) to place

RACE SEVEN

The 1st of the 3 DJA heats and the lone 30m runner in the Series, EMPIRE BAY (11) can overcome the impost here. Last week over the 2680m mobile trip, he sat back in the running lien from his 2nd line gate before attacking the line with vigour to claim a sharp win. Fitter from the run, he can arrive again here.

PRINCESS KENNY (2) makes the trip north and arrives with 7 wins in her 11 race starts. This will be a solid test for the 4YO mare who has remained undefeated in 4 outings for this campaign, but will find this a stiffer test. With good manners she should land in front and with the options, will challenge.

ANY OLD WAY (7) will be 1st up for 12 months, with his last start when winning a the 1st round heat of this series in 2018. With 2 trials to open the pipes, the 2nd of those a nice outing, look for him to be in the mix.

NORTHERN MUSCLE (10) returns from a spell after being put away following an error last start. A winner 2 starts back when racing tough in the breeze, he trialled in good order for the return. Somewhat stung with 20m, with the right cart into the contest he can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: EMPIRE BAY (11), PRINCESS KENNY (2), ANY OLD WAY (7), NORTHERN MUSCLE (10)
SUGGESTED BET: EMPIRE BAY (11) to win

RACE EIGHT

GEE UP NEDDY (9) has been in super touch this season with a top-three in all 6 outings, 3 of those victories. Last start from the 10m tape he was sent forward and worked on to take control and once in front ran home a sharp last 800m to score. From the 10m he can make his presence felt in this series.

OUR OVERANOVA (11) lines up for yet another DJA Series and comes into the 2019 edition in his customary super consistent form. Working his way to the front last start over the mobile 2680m, he was collared in the latter stages by EMPIRE BAY. With an amazing strike rate here at The Creek of a top-three in 81% of his 101 starts, he will be in the thick of it once again.

WEE MAN TROUBLE (2) will be making his Qld and Aus debut here, arriving from NZ with 6 wins in his 28 race starts. Given 2 trials in preparation, the 1st of those caught the eye when never asked for much yet he found the line nicely. He stays under notice.

IM THE COMMANDO (4) should appreciate finding the front line and when he brings his manners, he can be explosive off the tapes. He chased gamely for the silver 2 starts back and if he does step cleanly, he will come right into contention.

SELECTIONS: GEE UP NEDDY (9), OUR OVERANOVA (11), WEE MAN TROUBLE (2), IM THE COMMANDO (4)
SUGGESTED BET: GEE UP NEDDY (9) to win

RACE NINE

Despite this race having some very handy performers, the barrier draw conditions have seen it likely become a two-horse tussle. GOVERNOR JUJON (1) is securing the top spot at his 3YO return after an impressive 2YO campaign. With 2 sharp trials in readiness, he can opt for the trail and wield his power in the stretch to claim the prize.

VIRGIL (2) joins the Dixon stable and will be 1st up in Aus following his last start 6th in the NZ 3YO Sires on NZ Cup day. That followed a smart win when scoring narrowly at the picturesque Kaikoura track on their Cup Day and from the gate can take control and will be looking to control the tempo.

THATS HOW WEROLL (9) will be hoping the emergency is not required as that will see him take full use of the peg-line benefits. Effective when saved for one sprint, he will secure the soft trip here.

ARK ME (3) will take good benefit from her latest outing when 2nd up for the term. Doing her share of early work, she was able to overpower them late to take the prize and has rough place claims along with IM MAJOR HARRY (10), RUN BOY RUN (11) and DAPPER (12), who will all be lining up but face a task.

SELECTIONS: GOVERNOR JUJON (1), VIRGIL (2), THATS HOW WEROLL (9), ARK ME (3)
SUGGESTED BET: GOVERNOR JUJON / VIRGIL (1/2) quinella/exacta

RACE TEN

QUIETLY SPOKEN (8) has taken on mobile events at her past 2 where she has finished runner-up on each occasion. 2 starts back she chased hard when 2m from OUR OVERANOVA in the new Redcliffe track record and last start released when 2nd to EMPIRE BAY. Look for her finishing over the top.

MIRACLE RISING (10) started from a 30m tape last time out when attacking the line in good fashion behind GEE UP NEDDY. A Redcliffe winner 3 starts back over the long trip when closing nicely, he had been building towards that win with some impressive finishes. The long trip is up his alley.

CLOVER MAC (9) was a winner here 5 starts back when pressing forward to take control from the 10m tape. In his 4 runs since that victory, things haven’t gone to plan in 3 of them, with the other a tough effort in the breeze. If he trots cleanly, he can feature.

MAJESTIC SIMON (7) faces a steep rise here but he has shown that the ability is there. Away cleanly last start to find the breeze, he was too powerful in scoring an 18m victory. Fitter after 2 runs back from a spell, he can be around the money.

SELECTIONS: QUIETLY SPOKEN (8), MIRACLE RISING (10), CLOVER MAC (9), MAJESTIC SIMON (7)
SUGGESTED BET: QUIETLY SPOKEN (8) to win

RACE ELEVEN

MACEY JAYDE (5) had a good early shot for the lamp lighting duties here on Tues but couldn’t muster the speed and was forced to race tough. In for the fight she was only beaten a head in a game effort. That followed a nice effort behind SENORA RAPIDO and back to mares company suits.

BALLERINA COURU (3) pressed ahead from gate 7 over the mile last start and was able to get to the front after a 27.3 opener. Keeping the tempo strong, she was collared in the closing stages to get within 2m of victory. Fitter for that after her previous 2 have been well-spaced, she can challenge.

TWITTER BROMAC (1) made the most of this gate last start to see off the early challengers in a 27.6 opener and backed off the middle half. Driving it home in 27.6 to score, she will be in the fight again.

SWEET AS (6) is knocking on the door for a win, with her recent runs full of merit. After securing the pocket trail here 2 starts back she went within a head of victory and last start had no luck at all. Can arrive if they go silly up front.

SELECTIONS: MACEY JAYDE (5), BALLERINA COURU (3), TWITTER BROMAC (1), SWEET AS (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MACEY JAYDE (5) to win
