RACE TWO

MARTHAS VINEYARD (9) was a winner here 3 starts back from this same gate when working home strongly to claim a narrow victory. Last start she struck trouble which ended her chances when taking on a stronger line-up than she will face here. With even luck in transit she can arrive.

CHANG (8) was charging home at Redcliffe 4 starts back to go within a flared nostril of success. 2 starts back over this trip from the same gate he was wide off the track when sound to the line and with this a level below what he met in that, look for home chiming into the action late.

LIVING FREE (1) was closing out in good order at AP last start to grab the silver behind the tear-away winner SIXPENNY RED. That followed a 3rd here and with good early moves will be gripping on hard.

BAMBOLE NERE (2) has been forced to do some work in her races of late and that has left her wanting in the latter stages. With a softer trip in the early stages here, she can chime in late.

SELECTIONS: MARTHAS VINEYARD (9), CHANG (8), LIVING FREE (1), BAMBOLE NERE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MARTHAS VINEYARD (9) to win

RACE THREE

NIGHT NINJA (1) was buried 4 back on the poles last start at AP over the mile after starting from inside the 2nd line and then last start found himself in a similar position from gate 4 when looking for short-cuts. With the speed to take control, he can look to take them all the way.

HEADWIN (7) pressed ahead from gate 6 over the AP sprint trip last start and was racing tough in the breeze before the power of a 27.7 closer saw him fade in the stretch. Grabbed late when setting the speed 3 starts back and holding on for the bronze, he is a 3-time winner here that can feature.

MY WINGMAN (4) has been in the money at 5 of his 10 outings on this surface and although he does his best work when out in front, he can be a minor player if limiting the early burn here.

NIFTY STUDLEIGH (6) was much shaper last start when forced to do some work in the run and not too far away from the winner ARK ME. He will need plenty of luck from inside the 2nd line and will be probing for gaps.

SELECTIONS: NIGHT NINJA (1), HEADWIN (7), MY WINGMAN (4), NIFTY STUDLEIGH (6)
SUGGESTED BET: NIGHT NINJA (1) to win

RACE FOUR

BRIAN WHO (3)
started fav here last start when 1st up from a spell over the 1850m. Finding the breeze from the 2nd line, it was a nice return when fighting hard to hold on for 2nd in sharp time. With the added fitness, he can settle in behind and look to finish over the top.

MISTER DECORUM (4) had the fitness edge on BRIAN WHO last start and made the most of his gate advantage to find the front and once in control hold off the challengers. Grabbed in the closing stages the start prior, he is yet to miss the board in 4 outings here on the track and is up to this.

FORTES IN FIDE (2) settled back in the pack last start from gate 9 over the Redcliffe 1780m and found the line in good order to be 8m from the winner. Tough in the breeze here 2 starts back, he is in the mix.

BEEJAYS DELIGHT (8) doesn’t have any favours from the alley with the main chances looking to be off the front. A tough winner from the breeze here 2 starts back, he can be thereabouts again.

SELECTIONS: BRIAN WHO (3), MISTER DECORUM (4), FORTES IN FIDE (2), BEEJAYS DELIGHT (8)
SUGGESTED BET: BRIAN WHO (3) to win

RACE FIVE

COUNTRY RUN (3) rolled to the breeze from gate 4 over the Redcliffe sprint trip last start and was fighting hard when 7m in arrears of the winner. Sticking to the inside here 2 starts back, he pinched the silver after being buried in the run and if limiting the mid-race burn, can open his Qld account.

GETINANHANGON (5) will take benefit from his latest outing when 1st up from a break over the sprint trip here when he couldn’t go with them late. Sent to the trials to tighten up since, it was a tidy hit-out and despite the tough gate, has a handy record on the track and can feature in this.

STUDLEIGH WILL (7) found the right conditions last start when taking the lamp lighting duties from gate 4 over the Redcliffe sprint and leading throughout. The gate is a stinger, but he has claims here.

ELZBOY (4) has been in the money at 2 of his 4 appearances this season, with both of those here at Marburg. Pressing through to take control from the 2nd line 2 starts back and scoring a smart win, he can be thereabouts again in this.

SELECTIONS: COUNTRY RUN (3), GETINANHANGON (5), STUDLEIGH WILL (7), ELZBOY (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

GUTS (1) led them up from this gate and trip 2 starts back and setting a strong tempo was collared near the line by RAGING INFERNO. His run had some merit at Redcliffe last time when forced to come wide from back in the pack and if he can pinch a panel in front here, can see it out.

SCHEU CREEK (5) has been in the money at 4 of 5 outings this season, including a 1st up win over this trip when finishing best to claim the win. He snatched defeat from the jaws of victory 2nd up and his latest outing saw him not have the best of luck in transit. Despite the tough gate he looms large.

RANCHO MAN (7) was a winner here 5 starts back when sent forward from a wide gate to race tough early and worry them out of it. He met a much stronger line up last start and is in the mix.

REDDY FIRE (2) couldn’t muster to hold the lead here last start and from the trail was able to find space to grab the bronze. With a top-3 in 14 of 18 outings here at the Burg, he won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: GUTS (1), SCHEU CREEK (5), RANCHO MAN (7), REDDY FIRE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: GUTS (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

READILY (2) wasn’t entirely suited last start when forced to retreat from gate 4 to find position and then was just too far back to challenge over the 2138m. That followed a Redcliffe run where he was near last as they settled in single-file. He can settle close here and be ready to pounce in the stretch.

TOO GOOD FOR YOU (8) did some early work looking for position last start from gate 5 before finishing down the line behind COREY WILLIAM. Locked away on the pegs the start prior from gate 9 at Redcliffe, he can look to get into the contest here and be throwing down a challenge.

TOPNOTCH MACH (9) made the most of the ace here 2 starts back to take them all the way over the sprint trip. Fading out last time at Redcliffe, with a cart into the contest he has podium claims here.

ITSADANCEOFF (7) was 1st up in the same race taken here by TOPNOTCH MACH last start and will take some fitness from the run. At his best when finding the front, he has pace claims from the gate.

SELECTIONS: READILY (2), TOO GOOD FOR YOU (8), TOPNOTCH MACH (9), ITSADANCEOFF (7)
SUGGESTED BET: READILY (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

TUESDAYS FELLA (3) will be further tightened from his run at Redcliffe on Thursday when 2nd up from a break. 1st up here over the sprint trip, he was strong to the line after snagging back from outside the front line. The distance is a query, but if able to light the lamps, there might be enough absence of pressure to sneak away.

ZAC MAC (7) held the pocket trail from gate 1 last start and chased home over the Redcliffe 2040m when 7m from the winner LIVING AGAIN. Freshened since that run, he comes into this with a 6-week gap between runs and with the right trail in transit, can be looking to feature.

TAKITIMU EXPRESS (4) was a Redcliffe winner 5 starts back when finding space off a solid tempo and sprinting home to score. Placed at his next 3 in succession, look for him swooping late.

RUATO BAY (1) was forced to work hard in the breeze last start at Redcliffe and was still fighting when 2m from the winner. With the peg-line benefits, he won’t be too far from the action.

SELECTIONS: TUESDAYS FELLA (3), ZAC MAC (7), TAKITIMU EXPRESS (4), RUATO BAY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: TUESDAYS FELLA (3) to win
