"She's very lazy and I wasn't that happy with her trial the other day she didn't finish off as well as I would have liked."

"I still had the blinkers up my sleeve which I told the owners would help her a lot, but she's still quite fat and I in no way thought she'd run out a strong 1200 and win the race."

"Obviously there has been a stack of improvement and she's going to the Magic Millions on raw ability, she's still learning what to do and will be a two or three length better horse at her next start."

Jockey - Robbie Fradd

"She's still got a bit to learn she'll improve tonnes from this."

"David (Vandyke) said to just settle her at the back let her get comfortable and see if she could pass a couple."

"I thought the inside horse rolled into us which inconvinienced our running as much as it did its own."

"He towed the field up to the tear away leader and they had every chance to swamp him but he kept finding first start at the 1350."

"He's come back a different horse since we've gelded him a lot of his issues have gone away."

"He's Magic Millions bound but what we do in between is up in the air but he's given us plenty of options."

Jockey - Ryan Maloney

"I could feel the inside horse angling for a run but sustained my line and was strong through the line."

"He showed me a lot today he had to do all the work chasing down the leader and they had every chance to swamp him but he kept finding, he might be a bit better than I thought he was."

"Probably a few question marks 1300 up to 2000, but he's always looked like a stayer he's very relaxed in his work and the pedigree says he'll run the trip."

"The thing he really has in his advantage over the longer trips is his turn of foot, if he can get a nice run in transit like Justin (Huxtable) gave him today he can skip clear."

"He's a very good young rider this boy he's as good as any young rider going around in Queensland at the moment and will flourish with for opportunities."

"We'll go to the Grand Prix (Group 3) in two weeks time and on today he's given every indication he'll handle it."

Jockey - Justin Huxtable

"I've only ridden him twice for two wins and had never sat on his back in trackwork."

"Going into his last start at Toowoomba I didn't know much about him and when he fell out the back I felt sick but somehow me pulled one out of the hat and he's done it again today."

"I thought the pace was genuine enough and we just rolled along and when you ask him for an effort he gives you plenty."

"He's stepped up from the 1300 to the 2000, so the 2200 should be no issue."

"I was a bit wild in my younger days down in South Australia and even with my claim I wasn't getting too many rides in town."

"I went out on a limb and gave Muncey (Chris Munce) a call to ask him if he could give me a chance up here and thankfully for me he said yes."

"I've ridden a few winners but this is my first Saturday so it's pretty special, I've had my girlfriend up here with me for the last month and she's been a real rock for me."

Trainer - Chris Anderson

"He was great Jimmy (Orman) rode him a treat today the further they go the further he gets, in the right grade and right trip he's got a lot more in him."

"He met his grade in Sydney and we become the beneficiary of him and I'm happy to keep taking them because there is a place for them up here."

"He showed a will to win and I really have to give some credit to John Sargeant who sent him up four starts ago in great order, he did a lot of the early work and I'm getting the benefit now."

Jockey - Jimmy Orman

"He was nice and relaxed from barrier one today, I managed to pop off and follow Red Stina and that's what won me the race."

"He works enormous this horse I thought he might win by a bit further today but he's got plenty to come."

Trainer - Kacy Fogden

"I thought she was a real winning chance today if she ran up to her class, she's been perfectly prepared and was right on the money."

"She's a candidate for the Magic Millions, but there's plenty of water to pass under the bridge before January."

"Michael (Hellyer) has a great strike rate with us and definately retains the ride after that performance."

"We're up to about ten in work at the farm with three others in the paddock we're starting to establish ourselves up here which is nice."

Jockey - Michael Hellyer

"Kacy (Fogden) has been a big supporter of mine and I'm just really happy to reward her with a city winner."

"We needed a lot of luck in the run, I had the two favourites outside me and fortunately enough the one outside the leader dropped off and we pushed through for the win."

"I think off that she'll go further, she's got a nice turn of foot and can sustain it over a longer distance."

"I picked this race out two and a half years ago, all of his runs have been ok but I didn't see this coming."

"Two starts ago Jimmy (Byrne) rode him and said he thought he should have won the race so perhaps he was rounding into some kind of form, but it's been a while between drinks."

"We put the blinkers back on today and it's done the trick."

Jockey - Mark Du Plessis

"It was a good effort he pulled very hard wanting to go forward but settled and did everything very well today."

"His form if you really study it is not that bad, from the time the gates opened today you could tell he wanted to win the race and he had plenty left."

Trainer - Charlotte White

"I always thought he'd be the horse to give me my first listed win and he was brilliant today."

"I was feeling quite confident everything he's done at home and in the trials has been top class and I know him inside out, so I was pretty sure he could do it today."

"He's very good on race day he stays calm until he gets in the enclosure and he knows it's race time he was switched on."

"We've been working on rating him in front to have a bit more in the tank late and that paid dividends today."

"We'll try to go to the Falvelon and onto the Magic Millions."

Jockey - Les Tilley

"I stuffed up the Chief De Beers when I rode him, but I was counting in my head out in front making sure we weren't going too quick and I got him home for my first stakes win."

"He's always sluggish away but drives to the front and I could hear him breathing at the 800 and thought we're on here and he went through his gears and delivered."

"He still had a lot left that gives me a lot of confidence he'll get the 1200 in the Falvelon and onto the Magic Millions."

"He's not the people's horse but him and I click."

Trainer - Steve Tregea

"He went rubbish last preparation up at the Northern Carnivals, we've tried to travel him a few times now North and South and he just doesn't handle it, he wasn't in great shape when he came back."

"I thought he'd go very well today he loves the mile and got the nice soft run he needed to hit the line from a nice barrier."

"We were a bit worried about the speed he got a bit further back than we thought he would today but it didn't matter in the end."

Jockey - Jimmy Orman

"His last run was better than what it looked, he's been crying out for the mile and he might even get a bit further the way he went through the line then."

"I would have liked to have been a little bit closer, but the speed was ok and when we bunched right up before the corner I knew I had the horse underneath me to win the race."

3rd - Mewstone Rock - Sheila Laxon & John Symons

Trainer - David Vandyke

"She hasn't been easy she's been a hard one to get a hold of, she's had a mind of her own like a lot of good females do but boy she's come a long way."

"Jake (Bayliss) put in a ten out of ten he rode for luck and we've always wanted her to be a Stakes winner and she's done it."

"She's been in work a long time I'm not sure how much is left, the plan was to get some Black Type and she's ticked that off."

"She was questionable over the 1350 now gives us plenty of options beyond."

Jockey - Jake Bayliss

"It started off a bit sour with not by best ride on the favourite, but to come home in the last a win a Stakes race gives me a huge rush."

"She's got the history of over racing a little bit, but today in the mounting yard she was totally relaxed and ready to put in a big performance."

"We thought we might be a bit closer, but there was a lot of speed and we were travelling throughout we just needed that rails run and it presented itself."
