RACE TWO

IMA BEACH BABE (1) was banished to the trials last start after fading in front to then trail the field home. Chasing hard the start prior after being buried away on the pegs, she was not that far from OUR RIDGY DIDGE 3 starts back. With the benefit of the gate, she will get her chance to cash-in.

NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (2) resumes from a freshen and was last seen when setting the tempo over the AP mile but unable to see it out. Runner-up the start prior at Marburg when making a closing play to get within an eyelash of victory, she will have the option to dart in behind early and is up to the task.

ASHLEE NITRO (4) sat in the 1x1 trail last start and when asked for the effort sprinted sharply to go past them and claim a 4m victory over the 1780m trip. A winner at her only previous putting here at the track, she can charge late.

SELECTIONS: IMA BEACH BABE (1), NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (2), ASHLEE NITRO (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

FARRAHFOWLER (1) started from the 2nd line and was working home in nice order to grab the bronze at Redcliffe 3 starts back. Franking that effort when finishing best to claim a narrow victory at her next start, a wide gate did not help her chances last time. With the early options she can capitalise.

SUBTLE ADVICE (2) was angled to the pegs from the 2nd line for the short-cuts last start and chased hard to hold the bronze behind OUR ULTIMATE HANNA. Only 8m away the start prior which could have been less with a cleaner passage, he is 1 from 1 here at Kilcoy and has the gate to challenge.

ASHKII (5) resumes from a spell and has been to the trials to open the pipes in readiness for his return. Last seen back in September in much stronger company, he can look to join in despite the tough gate 1st up.

SELECTIONS: FARRAHFOWLER (1), SUBTLE ADVICE (2), ASHKII (5)
SUGGESTED BET: FARRAHFOWLER (1) to win

RACE FOUR

The 1st of the December to January heats and with a small field, ARMA AUGUSTUS (4) can look to bounce back. Runner-up at Marburg 2 starts back when finding the pocket trail and grabbing the silver behind the dictating HEADWIN, he broke a run of 4 successive wins the start prior when fading late. Backing up from Saturday night at headquarters, he can arrive in this.

MAJOR LUCKY (3) is the only runner in the field boasting grass track experience in Qld and comes into the contest with placings at his past 3 starts in succession. Sent to the breeze last start, he was forced to do it the tough way and the start prior he was working home from back in the pack. Limiting the burn can see him throw it down here.

CANNAN (2) steps out on the grass for the 1st time and has been a model of consistency in recent appearances, hitting the board in 11 of his past 13 outings. Only a head away last start despite being wide off the track, he can feature here.

SELECTIONS: ARMA AUGUSTUS (4), MAJOR LUCKY (3), CANNAN (2)
SUGGESTED BET: ARMA AUGUSTUS (4) to win

RACE FIVE

SCHOOBY (7)
eased from gate 6 last start to find the pegs and look for short-cuts when down the line behind TEACHERS PET. That followed an error at release at Marburg that ended his chances. With options as the lone 2nd line runner to get off the pegs early and a recent win on the grass at Warwick, he might just be able to pinch an open contest.

BERTILS FIREFOX (4) has been out of the winner’s circle for some time, but if the factors can fall his way here, he can look to issue a challenge. Eased from a wide gate to find the inside and look for some luck last start, he was runner-up to SHEZ GOT BLING 3 starts back and settling handy to the action will aid his cause.

MAGHERA MAGGIE (6) was 5m from TEACHERS PET at Marburg last start which had followed a down the line run after being buries away from a 2nd line gate. In this line-up she can feature.

ARVOS (1) has been kept fresh since her latest outing when at the tail of the field as GINA TARANTELLA carved out a massive win in front. Poking through on the poles to grab 3rd on debut, the gate helps here.

SELECTIONS: SCHOOBY (7), BERTILS FIREFOX (4), MAGHERA MAGGIE (6), ARVOS (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SCHOOBY (7) to win

RACE SIX

The 2nd of the heats looks a tricky contest despite the small field and if it turns into a strategic race of ducks and drakes then GOSLING IN FLIGHT (2) should be in the position to capitalise. Forget his last start when down the line from a 2nd row draw as GOING FOR GOLD carved it out in front at Marburg. Hitting the board his previous 7 starts in succession, including 3 wins, he can step up here.

OUR ULTIMATE HANNA (4) utilised gate 1 to her advantage at Redcliffe last start to burrow through, protect the poles and them lead them all the way. Running home, a smart closing 800m in that victory, she steps out for grass on the first time and despite the wide gate, will be right in the fight.

MISTER DECORUM (1) was wide off the track when trying to mount a late challenge last start at Redcliffe and could not eat into the deficit. Runner-up the start prior when trying to take them all the way, he has a win here at the track and the gate to capitalise on the options.

SELECTIONS: GOSLING IN FLIGHT (2), OUR ULTIMATE HANNA (4), MISTER DECORUM (1)
SUGGESTED BET: GOSLING IN FLIGHT (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

BARBOO (7) has hit some form and lines up here in search of a hat-trick of victories. Chasing hard for the bronze behind SIR SEMPER FIDELIS 3 starts back, he made the most of gate 1 at his next start when leading throughout. Finishing over the top of them last start, he can ease off the inside early to find the running line and power home.

TEACHERS PET (2) shoots for the hat-trick after successive wins at Marburg and then Redcliffe. Forced to do I the tough way at Marburg, she rolled the sleeves to grind it out in proving too strong and followed that with an all the way effort. She can fire the early shots to issue her challenge.

CHEYENNE AUTUMN (1) has a perfect 2 for 2 record here at Kilcoy and took them all the way from a wide gate here 4 starts back. Tapering off somewhat since that win, she gets the chance to bounce back.

BEEF CITY STARZZZ (6) is nearing a win when the conditions are right after placing at his past 3 in succession. Taking an early look before securing the 1x1 trail last start, he can be joining in.

SELECTIONS: BARBOO (7), TEACHERS PET (2), CHEYENNE AUTUMN (1), BEEF CITY STARZZZ (6)
SUGGESTED BET: BARBOO (7) to win

RACE EIGHT

HARRY CROFT (8) claimed the bronze at Warwick 4 starts back when leading the pack but overpowered in the closing stages. Cashing in at his next start over the Redcliffe sprint trip with a tidy win, he has placed in both runs since that victory. The gate stings but he looks up to the task.

ITS YOU NOT ME (1) speared across from gate 2 at Marburg last start and looked to take them all the way. In for the fight and only 2m from the winner when holding on for the bronze, he can look to show early speed to find the front in this. It has been a while since his last win, but he can challenge.

SAVANNAHS BOY (7) set the tempo at Redcliffe 3 starts back when making his 1st appearance in Qld, narrowly beaten as the fav. Leading throughout at Marburg when 2nd up, he can join in here.

ELLE JAY (5) takes her 1st look at grass track action and last start she was chasing behind the dictating winner FORTYFIVE ROCK. Only 5m from BRONSKI MACARENA 3 runs back, she has claims.

SELECTIONS: HARRY CROFT (8), ITS YOU NOT ME (1), SAVANNAHS BOY (7), ELLE JAY (5)
SUGGESTED BET: HARRY CROFT (8) to win
