RACE TWO

A KERRY MAN (5) pressed through from the 2nd line to find the 1x1 trail last start before making his move to pull clear for a 10m victory over the 2040m trip. Beaten a lip the start prior after doing all he work outside the leader, he has no favours from this alley but is going well enough to capitalise.

MAYWYNS JEWEL (1) was a big winner here last start when working wide off the track for a long way to claim a 2m victory. Grabbed in the last strides the start prior when a half-neck in arrears of the winner, she has a top-3 in 12 of 15 including 4 wins here at the Peninsula and will throw it down in this.

TAJIE BABY (7) has hit the board in 6 of her 7 outings on this track and lands the gate to get the perfect trip. Chasing for 3rd behind ALI DOWNUNDER last start, she will be probing for an opening.

MISTER FINNIGAN (2) has been kept fresh since his last appearance when finishing 3m from the winner as a beaten fav. Only 3m away the start prior, he has the gate to feature fresh-up.

SELECTIONS: A KERRY MAN (5), MAYWYNS JEWEL (1), TAJIE BABY (7), MISTER FINNIGAN (2)
SUGGESTED BET: A KERRY MAN (5) to win

RACE THREE

ALI DOWNUNDER (1) eased from gate 5 to find position last time out over the 2040m before making a wide and sustained challenge to work past them in forging clear to a 10m victory. Not much had gone his way leading into that and with the improved alley, he can go back-to-back.

IDEAL TIGER (2) tackled a qualifier over the 2138m trip last time out and from the 2nd line was angled to the pegs for the short-cuts. Making a late play, he held on for the bronze when 5m from the winner MAJOR MUCHA. A winner from the pocket trail here 3 starts back, he looms large.

SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT (8) eased from gate 5 to find position last start when making some late metres to finish 7m from the winner SPEECHCRAFT. 3rd to NIKITARAS here 3 runs back, he has claims.

MISTER HART (4) settled in the running line from the 2nd row last time out and would have finished closer than the 5m margin with a clearer passage to the line. Despite the sticky gate, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: ALI DOWNUNDER (1), IDEAL TIGER (2), SPRINGFIELD SPIRIT (8), MISTER HART (4)
SUGGESTED BET: ALI DOWNUNDER (1) to win

RACE FOUR

CARIBBEAN ROCKET (2) started inside the 2nd line last time out when mid-field behind MISS CATALINA. Chasing home for 3rd behind ROUSEY the start prior, that had followed an unsuitable outing from a wide gate. He can power the burners early to find the front and be gripping on.

BARBOO (9) secured the pocket trail from inside the 2nd line last start and was making a closing play for the bronze when 5m from ROCKNROLL DA GAMA. Beaten by gate 6 the start prior, if he can recapture an effort like his performance 4 starts back when 4m in arrears, he can challenge here.

GHOST GUM (1) started from inside the 2nd line last time out and was trying to make a play up the passing lane when 4m from the winner. Not suited when working the start prior, the gate helps.

DUKE (7) was trying to secure position from gate 3 last start and soon found himself a the rear of the pack with it all ahead of him. Closing in good order, he can settle closer here to be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: CARIBBEAN ROCKET (2), BARBOO (9), GHOST GUM (1), DUKE (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

MANOFLISA (1)
was wide off the track here 2 starts back after easing early from gate 5 before trying to work around them. Setting the speed here 4 runs back over this trip, he was in front nearly every stride until PLAYING ARKABELLA pinched it up the passing lane. From the gate he can see this out.

BLACKJEWEL (2) eased to find position last start and was soon buried in the run and facing a task as ROUSEY powered home to deliver the knockout. Not suited the start prior when asked to roll the sleeves outside the leader, this looks a more suitable contest and limiting the early burn can see her challenge.

CANNAN (5) does not receive many favours from this alley but he has not been too far away in recent outings. Setting the speed last start when grabbed late and 4m in arrears, he is in the mix.

LITTLE ARROWS (7) led every step bar the one that counted when nabbed right on the wire here last week. With the opportunity for an economical trip, she can be chiming into the money late here.

SELECTIONS: MANOFLISA (1), BLACKJEWEL (2), CANNAN (5), LITTLE ARROWS (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MANOFLISA (1) to win

RACE SIX

ROUSEY (3)
has been a revelation since arriving in the Sunshine State and remains undefeated in 5 appearances. Powering over the top of them from the 1x1 trail last start in claiming a 17m victory to display some versatility, she has the gate to dominate and can complete the six-pack in this.

ABERCROMBIE TAB (1) struck trouble last start when making a move around the pack and his chances evaporated. In the money at his previous 6 starts in succession, he was runner-up in 2 of those behind VOODOO FELLA. With the benefit of the good alley, he can be in the fight.

GOSLING IN FLIGHT (7) has won 5 of his 9 outings since arriving in Qld, the latest when sent to the front from a wide gate at Marburg and proving too strong. Likely to be buried, he will be probing for a way clear.

VOODOO FELLA (5) was game in defeat last time out after doing all he heavy lifting outside the leader and finishing within a half-neck of the prize. A strong winner at Marburg the start prior, he can feature again.

SELECTIONS: ROUSEY (3), ABERCROMBIE TAB (1), GOSLING IN FLIGHT (7), VOODOO FELLA (5)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 3 / 1-5-7

RACE SEVEN

SHESFEELINSPECIAL (1) was locked away from inside the 2nd line last time out when only 6m from the winner. That followed a down the line effort where she struck trouble in the run. With good speed off the arm, she was only 4m away here 3 runs back and from this gate looks to get a chance.

AURORA ROSE (3) did not hit the board in a 5-starts campaign to open her career earlier in the season when running into some handy 2YOs at each outing. Shut down following a down the line effort in a Redcliffe Sales heat last start, she has trialled soundly and in this line-up is a threat 1st up.

DIEGO DELGADO (6) was stepping out for the 3rd time in his career last start when striking trouble that ended his chances. Forced to race tough when fading late the start prior, he is fresh up here.

HURRIKANE KING (8) eased from gate 4 to secure position last start and from back in the pack could not work into the contest. That was his 2nd up run after returning from a break and he has place hopes in this.

SELECTIONS: SHESFEELINSPECIAL (1), AURORA ROSE (3), DIEGO DELGADO (6), HURRIKANE KING (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SHESFEELINSPECIAL (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

VERMONT (2) eased from gate 4 to find position last start before working home strongly in the closing stages to be 6m in arrears of the winner AMANDER. Working home in good order the start prior, she was only beaten an eyelash on debut 3 starts back and looks to have found her race.

POPEYE RUSSELL (5) was sent forward around the field in the early stages last start from the 2nd line to take control with 1200m to run. Trying to fight them off, he could not repel the passing lane challengers when holding on for the bronze. With added experience he can throw it down here.

BAZIL BOY (8) has been runner-up in each career start to date, the latest when in for the fight after being obliged to face the breeze. Only 1m from the winner AMANDER, he is in the mix in this.

BRISKET (9) is a 3YO son of Cammibest making his debut for Darren Ebert. Kept fresh since his qualifying trial when down the line behind ROUSEY, he can be thereabouts 1st up here.

SELECTIONS: VERMONT (2), POPEYE RUSSELL (5), BAZIL BOY (8), BRISKET (9)
SUGGESTED BET: VERMONT (2) to win

RACE NINE

GINA TARANTELLA (7) comes up with eh awkward gate here but shaking loose of the peg-line early can look to overcome this line-up. Breaking her maiden in unbelievable fashion at Marburg when blitzing her rivals with a 73m victory, she backed it up with a 22m win here. The threepeat is on.

POSER (1) squares off against GINA TARANTELLA for the 3rd time in successive outings and has the gate to be in the money again. From this alley last start she held on for the bronze and the start prior was best of the rest in fighting them off for 2nd. The alley helps and she can place again here.

FORTYFIVE ROCK (3) has got the wobbles in the past 2 weeks when looming up to the wire. In front until the 2037m point last start, he found the last 3m a task when runner-up. Back to the 1780 helps.

MAKINMEFEELGOOD (6) STEPS OUT FOR Ryan Veivers for the 1st time and will be 1st up since September. 8m from FAST IS BETTOR last start, he stays under notice despite the wide gate here.

SELECTIONS: GINA TARANTELLA (7), POSER (1), FORTYFIVE ROCK (3), MAKINMEFEELGOOD (6)
SUGGESTED BET: GINA TARANTELLA (7) to win
