RACE TWO

BRONSKI MACARENA (1) got it wrong in the early stages last start and was soon angled to the pegs for the short-cuts when down the line. Fading out behind ROUSEY the start prior she has the options form the gate and should find this grade a shade easier than recent contests. That gives her a chance in a tricky event.

DARBY BRIGHTS (7) will be sweating on the 1 looking for an all the way win and if that map eventuates, she will be coiled and ready to strike. Runner-up at her past 3 in succession, she is nearing a drought breaking win and 2 starts back was only beaten an eyelash.

ILLBEWATCHING (9) will strip fitter following his latest outing when returning from a break. Forced to do it the tough way first over, he faded late. Back to The Triangle with the added fitness helps.

ELLE JAY (4) found the 1x1 trail last start when finishing mid-field as GINA TARANTELLA powered home to score. Claiming 3rd here 3 starts back when setting the tempo, she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: BRONSKI MACARENA (1), DARBY BRIGHTS (7), ILLBEWATCHING (9), ELLE JAY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-4-7-9

RACE THREE

REGALIA (3) has been to the track 3 times this campaign and landed 2nd line gates at his past 2 attempts. Fitter for those runs after a break of 15 months, it has been over 2 years since he claimed his maiden breaking victory. With the benefit of the gate, he looks to get a chance here.

IMA REGAL JET (8) was runner-up from gate 1 here 2 starts back after looing to have found his race from gate 1. Setting the tempo, he could not finish the off when grabbed in the closing strides to be a neck in arrears. This is no harder and although drawn off the 2nd line he can throw it down.

RAINBOW STYLING (9) would be better served off the front line where he can display his early speed but he still strikes the race to make a closing play. Sound in defeat behind the flying ARMA AUGUSTUS last start, he can feature here.

CHEYENNE AUTUMN (6) was searching for a hat-trick of victories last start when landing gate 5 and snagged back in the early stages. The gate is a stinger once again, but she can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: REGALIA (3), IMA REGAL JET (8), RAINBOW STYLING (9), CHEYENNE AUTUMN (6)
SUGGESTED BET: REGALIA (3) to win

RACE FOUR

ROCKNHOLME (9) was asked to roll the sleeves and do it the tough way last start when racing first over and was game in defeat behind BETTOR SPORT. A smart winner on debut 4 runs back, he followed that with a strong 2nd and after his last 2 have been in much stronger company, he looks to get his chance in this line-up.

SOMEGIRLSOMEWHERE (7) will be requiring a rub of the green at some stage in this race to find the space to get clear track. Sent around to the breeze from the 2nd line last time out, she was in for the fight when only beaten a neck. A win is not far away and with even luck she can challenge hard here.

BEE GEES BEST (6) has been kept fresh since his last outing when forced to race tough from this same gate and only falling a neck short of the prize. He has ability but is still putting it together and will be in the mix again.

AMANDER (5) has returned from a spell in good order and was a tidy 3rd when resuming. 2nd up she found the 1x1 trail and had too many answers for them to score as the fav. The gate stings but she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: ROCKNHOLME (9), SOMEGIRLSOMEWHERE (7), BEE GEES BEST (6), AMANDER (5)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCKNHOLME (9) to win

RACE FIVE

WANJIRU (8)
started from gate 10 over the AP mile last time out and was making some closing metres to grab the bronze behind REGAL NIGHTSHADE. Only 2.5m away the start prior when leading them up and grabbed late, she can sit in behind an even tempo and look to grab them late.

HESLUVABLE (7) has been in the money at 5 of his past 7 starts including a win 5 runs back when finishing over the top of them. Not much has really gone his way at his past 3 starts with bad luck and bad gates not aiding his chances. With a soft trip, he can be ready to take a closing shot.

NON PASSARE (1) can be a tough horse to follow and although he has 3 last placings in succession against his name, he can be sharper here fresh. Only 8m from the winner 2 starts back, he is a place hope.

KWASII (6) has the wide gate but he has some electric moves off the arm and can look to make charge to the poles. If he can get across them and is able to pinch a panel, he can be in for the fight.

SELECTIONS: WANJIRU (8), HESLUVABLE (7), NON PASSARE (1), KWASII (6)
SUGGESTED BET: WANJIRU (8) to win

RACE SIX

APACHE WHITESOX (2)
has started inside the 2nd line at 3 of his past 4 starts and it has not really gone to plan in any of those outings. A winner here 6 starts back when finishing over the top of them, he can settle in behind the early speed and be ready to make the closing shot a winner.

LITTLE ARROWS (3) tried to take them all the way here 2 starts back and was in front every stride bar the one that counted when stealing defeat from the jaws of victory. Not ideally suited from inside the 2nd line last time out, she has the early speed and will be gripping on.

CHAMPAGNE REACTOR (1) will be 2nd up from a break and should find this an easier task than her 1st up outing when off the 2nd line. With an economical trip on offer, she has podium claims.

AROONA (5) is getting closer to a win after finishing in the money at 3 of his past 4 starts including as the runner-up at his past 2. Closing nicely last start, early position will be key to his chances.

SELECTIONS: APACHE WHITESOX (2), LITTLE ARROWS (3), CHAMPAGNE REACTOR (1), AROONA (5)
SUGGESTED BET: APACHE WHITESOX (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

KIAMAROSIE (4) rolled forward from this gate last start before receiving cover. Making a closing dive in a blanket finish, she was only a neck away from the winner. Not suited when wide off the track the start prior as HIGHVIEW FREDDY landed the loot, she can get forward to claim her 1st win in Qld.

TRUNKEY DIGGER (5) eased from gate 5 to find position over the AP mile last start and was charging home in the closing stages to get within a neck of the winner. Runner-up to MADAMOISELLE JUJON here 3 starts back, she can look to find a forward spot to challenge.

GOJOE (6) started from inside the 2nd line over the 1780m last time out and was soon locked away 3 back before grabbing the bronze behind NIKALONG HENRY. The gate does him no favours, but he is a podium hope.

CONDAFEW (9) sat in behind the speed on the grass at Warwick last start to grab the silver behind the dictating winner ARTFUL MAID. 6m away from RECIPE FOR DREAMING 3 runs back, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: KIAMAROSIE (4), TRUNKEY DIGGER (5), GOJOE (6), CONDAFEW (9)
SUGGESTED BET: KIAMAROSIE (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

RUM DELIGHT (3) makes his Qld debut for Jack Butler and arrives with a last start 3rd over the Menangle mile. 6m from the winner 2 starts back when looking to make a closing play, if he can handle his 1st look at the Redcliffe track, he looks the one they have to beat.

A KERRY MAN (6) rolled forward from gate 5 to do his share of early work in the run last time before taking cover and then only finishing 2 from the winner MOLLYS SECRET. Finishing over the top of them 2 starts back at the 2040m, if he can limit the early burn to find position, he can challenge.

PACIFIC COIN (9) shoots for the hat-trick after winning here over the 2040m and backing that up with a win on the grass at Warwick. The gate dents his chances, but he will not be far away.

OUR PEPPERJACK (1) has been out of the winners circle for 18 months and while he is not likely a winning threat in this, he should be able to get a cosy run in behind the speed.

SELECTIONS: RUM DELIGHT (3), A KERRY MAN (6), PACIFIC COIN (9), OUR PEPPERJACK (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

WHOSTOLEMYPIGEON (8) retreated from gate 6 last time out and was a long way back in the pack when trying to make a closing play as SPEECHCRAFT dictated in front. Runner-up at his previous 2 starts including a close margin behind NIKITARAS, he can be powering over the top of them in a tricky race.

MACH TORQUE (7) angled to the pegs last start from the 2nd line and was chasing hard when mid-field to OAXACAN DREAM. 3rd the start prior albeit 19m in arrears, it was a sound run as the field was broken apart. With the opportunity for a soft trip, she can be probing for the gaps to offer.

MISS MONEYBAGS (1) has been to the track 4 times since returning from a break but has yet to really fire a shot. She comes up with the options from the gate and can be an improver.

ALI DOWNUNDER (5) was a winner here 2 starts back when finishing over the top of them in the closing stages. Locked away on the pegs last start, he faces a sticky gate here but can chime in.

SELECTIONS: WHOSTOLEMYPIGEON (8), MACH TORQUE (7), MISS MONEYBAGS (1), ALI DOWNUNDER (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TEN

FEELINGFORARAINBOW (7) pressed on to take control over the 2138m last start in a much stronger contest. Setting a solid tempo out in front, he could not maintain the rage and faded in the closing stages. Returning a sharp trial when attacking the line strongly, the 2nd line options looks suitable.

BUMPER (4) has a handy record here on The Triangle that shows a top-3 in 17 of his 27 attempts. Angled to the pegs last start from gate 12 over the AP 2138m trip, he was buried away before making strong ground in the closing stages behind MYMATEPOG. The small field suits for him to challenge.

HARPAGUS (2) did some early work prior to receiving cover before fading out behind OUR UNCLE JIM. Runner-up the start prior when only 2m from BREACH THE BEACH, she can feature in this.

BATTLE BORN (1) should be further tightened from his latest outing when 3rd up from over 12 months off the scene. Hitting the line in good order last start when 3m away, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: FEELINGFORARAINBOW (7), BUMPER (4), HARPAGUS (2), BATTLE BORN (1)
SUGGESTED BET: FEELINGFORARAINBOW (7) to win
