RACE TWO

After 3 starts earlier in the season where he was twice beaten as the favourite, MELTON BEACH (10) makes his return from a spell for this contest. Forced to do it the tough way at his last start when fading as TIMS A TROOPER arrived, he was runner-up to LEAP TO FAME at his 2nd start. With a nice preparatory trial, he can strike fresh.

INDY JEWEL (4) continues to get closer to the elusive maiden breaking win, with her last start an agonisingly close result. Eased at the start in the small field, when angled into open space, she charged home in the closing stages to be an eyelash from the winner and can throw it down again.

BLACKJACK SHAZ (1) has placed in 3 of her 8 starts for the season, the latest when leading them up at Redcliffe and grabbed in the closing strides. With all the options from this alley, she can feature.

BROOKLYN RAINBOW (3) is an American Ideal filly on debut for Chantal Turpin from the 100% producer Artistic Rainbow. Ranking as a half-sister to the handy A RAINBOW DELIGHT, she has trialled in nice order.

SELECTIONS: MELTON BEACH (10), INDY JEWEL (4), BLACKJACK SHAZ (1), BROOKLYN RAINBOW (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MELTON BEACH (10) to win

RACE THREE

Tricky race to dissect with most of the field displaying their best at The Triangle. A winner there 3 starts back TORQUE TO THE MAX (5) is also the only contender to bring a win in their last 5 starts into this. She did not get the smoothest passage last start and is a chance in a wide-open event.

CHARLEVOIX (6) should take some benefit from his latest start which was his 3rd since arriving in Qld. Asked to race tough first-up off the back of a spell, he was again sent forward to sit parked 2nd up. Given 4 weeks until his latest outing, he finds the right conditions to show some improvement.

HURRIKANE SPECIAL (3) was snagged back in the early stages last start at Redcliffe before making a wide run to finish 8m from the winner. Placed in 3 of her previous 4, she can fire some early bullets.

MOLLIDOR (4) has had 2 starts since arriving in Qld, the latest when fading out of proceedings after doing some early work to secure position. Settling close to the action can aid her chances in this.

SELECTIONS: TORQUE TO THE MAX (5), CHARLEVOIX (6), HURRIKANE SPECIAL (3), MOLLIDOR (4)
SUGGESTED BET: TORQUE TO THE MAX (5) to win

RACE FOUR

KEAYANG MARVEN (3)
started from inside the 2nd line last start and holding the pocket trail had to settle for the bronze when 2m in arrears of the winner JASPER. Sent forward to get outside the leader with 1000m to run the start prior and finishing best to score, he can again throw it down in this.

EH EF EL (2) was a winner here 2 starts back when releasing the speed from gate 1 and then landing the winning blow up the passing lane. Asked to roll the sleeves and graft it out when parked last start over this trip, he was game when 6m from the winner. His record at the trip is the query.

JUMPING JACK JIMMY (4) set the speed on Saturday night, running it at a hectic tempo that set up a sub 1.54 rate over the 2138m. Under heavy pressure but fighting hard, he can again be in the mix.

LETTERKENNY BOY (1) could be in danger of being buried in the run here, but if the gaps open in time, his best work comes in the closing stages. Not too far away of late, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: KEAYANG MARVEN (3), EH EF EL (2), JUMPING JACK JIMMY (4), LETTERKENNY BOY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: KEAYANG MARVEN (3) to win

RACE FIVE

Runner-up at her past 2 attempts, SHES KOALA TEE (4) should appreciate an improved alley after facing gate 7 and gate 9 in her past 2 outings. Sent forward from 9 last start to sit parked, she was grinding it out to get within a half-neck of the winner. Best of the chasers behind subsequent winner CAPTAINS PICK the start prior, this is within reach.

LEITHEN BURN (5) has been kept fresh since his last appearance when holding on for the bronze after being gunned down in the closing stages. Setting the speed from gate 6 in that contest, he was just 3m away the start prior and despite the sticky gate can make the challenge.

HECTOR (6) will take some benefit from his last start where he was 2nd up from a spell. Holding 3rd behind the clear-out winner CAPTAINS PICK, he was within 3m of FLIGHT CREW when resuming.

SHEZ ALL STYLE (1) was a winner here 2 starts back when securing the pocket trail from gate 3 and then making a winning raid up the passing lane. From the gate, she can look for a similar return.

SELECTIONS: SHES KOALA TEE (4), LEITHEN BURN (5), HECTOR (6), SHEZ ALL STYLE (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SHES KOALA TEE (4) to win

RACE SIX

Resuming from a spell last start from gate 4, FUTURE ASSURED (3) eased to find position after being caught wide before closing out in nice order to be 4m from the winner. His previous start was back in July in the Triad Final when setting the speed and finishing 6m from AWAYWEGO. From this gate he can look to take control.

O B LEGAL (1) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was soon shuffled back in the pack. When the gaps opened, he was strong to the line to be 6m from the winner HAWTHORNDEN HUNK. Obliged to hang tough when parked the start prior, he can stalk the speed here to throw it down.

LETS BLAZE (5) was picking off some late metres last start at Redcliffe when grabbing the bronze. With added fitness from the outing and some experience over the main players, he can feature.

REBLINE (2) resumes from a spell and has returned a tidy trial in readiness for her first up outing where she was 2m from the subsequent winner CLASS TO THE MAX. From the gate she can feature.

SELECTIONS: FUTURE ASSURED (3), O B LEGAL (1), LETS BLAZE (5), REBLINE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: FUTURE ASSURED / O B LEGAL (1/3) quinella/exacta

RACE EIGHT

Returning from a spell following his last start in August, HEMSWORTH (8) lands a tricky alley on return. Last seen when down the line behind the smart CAPTAIN CRUSADER, that had followed successive wins when leading throughout from gate 7 on each occasion. With a tidy trial to prepare, he can overcome the gate impediment.

BONNIES CAM (6) fired out of the machine last start from gate 4 to take control and once in front over the 2138m was able to get a steady opening half. Dialling it up over the latter stages, he was never in danger with a 6m victory. With 3 wins in his past 5 starts, he can again look to challenge.

RECIPE FOR DREAMING (2) was asked to sit parked here on Saturday night at the mile and despite the tough trip was fighting hard to be just 8m in arrears. Placed his previous 2, he is in the mix.

LOVE YOUR WORK (7) has the car park alley to overcome but should find this a shade easier than his recent outings. Down the line in a strong 3YO contest last start, he can be closer this time around.

SELECTIONS: HEMSWORTH (8), BONNIES CAM (6), RECIPE FOR DREAMING (2), LOVE YOUR WORK (7)
SUGGESTED BET: HEMSWORTH (8) to win

RACE NINE

Pressing forward early and sliding into the pocket trail last start WATCH PULP FICTION (6) was chasing hard but could not go on with it when 8m from the winner JONAH JONES. Striking trouble 2 starts back, he was a beaten fav when 3rd here 3 runs back. He may have found the conditions to bring up the sesqui-centenary of starts in style.

DIKERRY (8) was hemmed away against the poles last start and using the passing lane was strong to the line when 3m from the winner PACIFIC DRUMS. Fitter for that run when making his first Qld appearance, an early angle away from the poles might be the play to give him a challenging chance.

SABRAGE (9) has been runner-up at his past 2 starts, the latest when setting the speed and grabbed in the closing stages. Within 2m of the winner at his past 2 starts, he is in the mix once again.

THE SHADY ONE (2) settled in the running line last start and could not go on with it in the closing stages as JONAH JONES arrived. Placed his previous 2 starts, he has podium claims again here.

SELECTIONS: WATCH PULP FICTION (6), DIKERRY (8), SABRAGE (9), THE SHADY ONE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: WATCH PULP FICTION (6) to win
