RACE TWO

Still searching for his first victory since arriving in Qld, HECTOR (1) looks to have found the right conditions to deliver. Beaten a head first-up from gate 7, he was sent for a spell after the second-up effort. Placed at his past 2 starts, the latest when sitting parked, the improved gate is a huge plus.

MERGE RIGHT (6) is a 2YO tackling this mixed age contest, bringing some consistent form with a top-3 finish at her past 5 in succession. Breaking the maiden with a gritty win on The Triangle 3 starts back, she has been runner-up her past 2 at the same track. This is tougher but she can challenge.

DELIGHTFUL LOU (8) is 1 from 1 after starting her career in ideal fashion when scoring in a 2YO event. Forced to dig deep for the win after making an error, she will take great experience.

MY BELLE AND ME (2) was having her first Qld start at Redcliffe on Thursday when starting fav and sent forward to take control. Fighting them off to claim the prize, this will be another step up.

SELECTIONS: HECTOR (1), MERGE RIGHT (6), DELIGHTFUL LOU (8), MY BELLE AND ME (2)
SUGGESTED BET: HECTOR (1) to win

RACE THREE

THREE IN HEAVEN (5)
was having his first start in Qld last time out when tackling the Members Cup over the 2138m. Pressing on to sit parked, he was still fighting to the wire when midfield and finishing 6m in arrears of the winner. He may need to roll the sleeves again but looks up to the task.

GLENLEDI BOY (2) started from inside the 2nd line last start but as soon angled into the 1x1 and from there received the ideal trip and owned superior finishing power to claim victory over the 2138m. Grinding it out when 4m away the start prior, he can be close to the speed to challenge again.

ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (6) should take some benefit from his latest start where he was fresh after a 4-week gap between starts. Strong to the line in some handy closing panels, look for him swooping.

SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (4) started from the 2nd line last start at Redcliffe and when the pace slackened was sent to sit parked. Fighting hard to hold on for the silver, he is in the mix in this.

SELECTIONS: THREE IN HEAVEN (5), GLENLEDI BOY (2), ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (6), SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: THREE IN HEAVEN (5) to win

RACE FOUR

Runner-up at her past 3 starts SHES KOALA TEE (8) is ready to strike and with the 2nd line options here as the only runner off the back, might just have found suitable conditions. Sent forward to sit parked last start, she was nabbed up the passing lane and the start prior was just a half-neck shy of the prize.

LOVIN MISS DIXIE (5) is a 3YO filly making her first appearance in Qld for the relocated McCall stable. Arriving in consistent form where she has hit the board in 7 of her past 10 starts, she grabbed the bronze at her latest outing over the Menangle mile. Settling handy can see her make a challenge.

SPEED OF SOUND (2) was looking to take them all the way here on Friday from gate 2 but was worried out of it when holding on for 3rd. Firing the early bullets can see her right in the fight.

LEITHEN BURN (7) eased from gate 5 last start and trying to launch a closing raid was 9m in arrears of the winner. Placed at both starts prior, a forward move might be the play here to feature.

SELECTIONS: SHES KOALA TEE (8), LOVIN MISS DIXIE (5), SPEED OF SOUND (2), LEITHEN BURN (7)
SUGGESTED BET: SHES KOALA TEE (8) to win

RACE FIVE

ILLBEWATCHING (5) was sent forward to sit parked last start from gate 4 over the Redcliffe 1780m and was able to grind it out to prove too tough with a 4m victory. A gritty 2nd 4 starts back when just a half-neck from the winner, he can get forward in this contest and look for back-to-back victories.

TIMENPATIENCE (3) was not suited here 2 starts back when obliged to sit parked and after the tough trip faded over the closing stages. Unable to secure position last start and forced to retreat, her chances rest with securing a handy spot without having to work too hard.

RANCHO MAN (1) is resuming from a spell without a public trial and lands the ideal gate fresh. Just a half-neck from the winner 3 starts back at Redcliffe, he can take cover and chime in late.

CIRCE LINE (9) was put into the contest in the early stages from the 2nd line last start at Marburg and proved too strong over the closing stages. This is tougher but with the right trip he can feature.

SELECTIONS: ILLBEWATCHING (5), TIMENPATIENCE (3), RANCHO MAN (1), CIRCE LINE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: ILLBEWATCHING (5) to win

RACE SIX

There look a number of chances in this contest where despite the sticky alley, TRACER BULLET (6) can look to continue his consistency. In the money at 6 of his past 7 starts that includes a pair of victories, he was able to overcome gate 5 here on Friday when pressing on to take control and claim a new PB winning rate.  Snagged back from gate 7 here 2 starts back, he can take this.

BETTOR MEMORIES (5) settled in the pocket trail last start where she was chasing when holding on for 2nd behind the smart 2YO O B LEGAL. Just 3m away in a blanket finish the start prior, can she overcome the AP hoodoo where she is winless after 24 attempts.

GRETELS GIRL (3) was wide off the track from a 2nd line gate last time out but continued to give to the wire when just 2m from the winner to hold on for the silver. Fitter again after 3 runs back from a break, she has early hustle and finds the right conditions to throw it down.

SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (1) settled in the running line from gate 9 last start and trying to make a closing play was just 2m from the winner TRACER BULLET. He looks set to be crossed early but is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: TRACER BULLET (6), BETTOR MEMORIES (5), GRETELS GIRL (3), SIR SEMPER FIDELIS (1)
SUGGESTED BET: TRACER BULLET (6) to win

RACE SEVEN

RECIPE FOR DREAMING (1)
settled in the running line last start and didn’t have the closing firepower as HEMSWORTH proved too slick. Grinding it out when parked in a qualifier the start prior, 3 starts back he was a close 2nd to the in-form CAPTAINS PICK and has the gate to capitalise here.

BONNIES CAM (5) slide across from gate 6 last start and soon after was provided with the 1x1 trail in the run. Responding down the back straight, he loomed wider before peaking on the run as HEMSWORTH found the space to charge home. Taking them all the way the start prior, he looms as the threat.

WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (7) started from the 2nd line here on Friday when trying to make a closing raid wide off the track but unable to work into the 2138m contest. The gate stings but he can chime in.

ISOLATION (2) will take benefit from his first up effort here in Qld where he was also resuming from a spell. Fading after being obliged to sit parked, he can dart in behind the speed here for an easier trip.

SELECTIONS: RECIPE FOR DREAMING (1), BONNIES CAM (5), WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (7), ISOLATION (2)
SUGGESTED BET: RECIPE FOR DREAMING (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

Stepping up to tackle the older horses, the 2YO O B LEGAL (3) has proven to be a handy customer and lines up here looking to go back-to-back. Never in danger last start when taking them all the way from gate 1 and scoring untouched, he can look to take control of this and show his class.

LETSPLAYUNI (5) arrives in Qld to join the Terry Hancock stable and will be lining up here 6 weeks since his last appearance at Bankstown. With a pair of trials here at The Creek in readiness, the second of those was a tidy effort behind UNCLE SHANK and he can challenge despite the alley.

WOODLANDS WONDER (4) finished in the second half of the pack on Friday after being buried in the run from inside the 2nd line. A Redcliffe winner 3 starts back, back to the front line aids his chances.

SIR BULSKI (6) made the most of the pole at Marburg last start when taking them all the way over the 2200m trip. Still a maiden here at headquarters, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: O B LEGAL (3), LETSPLAYUNI (5), WOODLANDS WONDER (4), SIR BULSKI (6)
SUGGESTED BET: O B LEGAL (3) to win

RACE NINE

MAJESTIC SPEED (4)
started from the 30m tape last and was soon in behind the leader securing the ideal run throughout. Angling into space, she had the speed to arrive via the passing lane. Runner-up in both starts prior to the win, she has the manners to be close enough to go back-to-back.

JANSSON (10) took the trail here 3 starts back after working to the front and was chasing all the way when 3rd to IM THE COMMANDO. Runner-up at his next appearance when grabbed in the closing strides after finding the front from the 50m tape, he can show his speed from the tapes to challenge.

IMA CALVERT ROSE (6) should find this a shade easier than her last appearance in the Redcliffe Trotters Cup when fading as DOUG powered home to score. Runner-up from the mobile here 2 starts back, she has claims.

MELPARK MAGIC (7) was safely into stride here on Friday and taking control in the early stages stacked them up and was able to fight hard for an all the way win. With some confidence he can feature again.

SELECTIONS: MAJESTIC SPEED (4), JANSSON (10), IMA CALVERT ROSE (6), MELPARK MAGIC (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJESTIC SPEED (4) to win

RACE TEN

A small field of 2YOs to battle it out here in what will likely be the last chance to pick up a QBRED bonus this season. MISS CABO (4) is a debutant by Hes Watching out of the mare Lindrell, making her a half-sister to four individual winners. With a sound qualifying trial, she looks up to this.

WHATA SPORT (2) made his debut on Friday from gate 5 where he eased from the start and was soon locked away against the poles. Still a little green, he was left a little flat-footed when the speed went on. An improved gate can be the catalyst for a sharper return.

SII SEMPRE TILLY (3) is the most experienced in the small field, with her 8 career starts yet to return a top-3 finish. Beaten by a tricky gate in sharp time at Penrith last start, she can look to make her Qld debut in style.

SELECTIONS: MISS CABO (4), WHATA SPORT (2), SII SEMPRE TILLY (3)
SUGGESTED BET:
