RACE TWO

Snagged back off the gate when the field was released last start from gate 6, CHARLEVOIX (4) was a long way back in the pack before making a wide run. Closing out in nice order to be under 5m from the dictating winner, he finds the conditions to aim up for his first Qld victory.

TURN TURN FLYER (2) eased from gate 5 last start as the favourite and when trying to launch the closing raid made up some good ground to be 5m in arrears of the winner. Pouncing on them in the closing stages here 2 starts back to score, he can be close enough to the action to throw it down.

LETS BLAZE (7) was taken off the arm from the wide gate here on Tuesday and from deep in the pack was able unfurl the spinnaker and sail home strongly to be just a half-neck away. Despite the gate, he is in the mix.

KOTARE ELITE (6) tried to take them all the way at Redcliffe 2 starts back from gate 1 and was leading them deep into the stretch only to be grabbed by ALLSTAR SEA. Despite the gate she can feature in this grade.

SELECTIONS: CHARLEVOIX (4), TURN TURN FLYER (2), LETS BLAZE (7), KOTARE ELITE (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

Charging in here in search of the first hat-trick of her career, LITTLEDEE (4) will be hoping to add an AP victory to wins at Marburg and then Redcliffe. Both wins have come from the 2nd line, the latest when powering over the top to claim a 4m margin. Settling handy and with the tempo to suit, the threepeat is within reach.

BETTING BARON (8) started from this alley 3 starts back when buried in the run before finding the gaps to make a closing play, grabbing the silver when 5m in arrears of the winner. Landing the options as the lone runner off the back here, he can find his own position to make his challenge.

TORQUE TO THE MAX (2) was a Redcliffe winner 4 starts back when spearing out from gate 4 to take control and once dictating fought them all off. Grabbed late at her next start, she will be gripping on.

GO JO JOLT (3) followed the inside to grab 3rd at Redcliffe 2 starts back and followed that with a mistake last start that saw her banished to the trials. Earing the return, she has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: LITTLEDEE (4), BETTING BARON (8), TORQUE TO THE MAX (2), GO JO JOLT (3)
SUGGESTED BET: LITTLEDEE (4) to win

RACE FOUR

Forget the last start return of LIAM NEIL (1) where he made an error that put him out of contention. Placed in both starts prior, he was runner-up here 2 starts back when collared in the last stride over the 2138m after setting the speed. 4m in arrears here 3 starts back, he has the options to capitalise.

ARTFUL MAID (3) is in nice touch with a win and a pair of minors in her past 4 starts. Trying to take them all the way here on Tuesday, she was able to hold on for the bronze as FEELINGFORARAINBOW descended to claim the prize. From this alley she can be close enough to make the challenge.

MOHS EM DOWN (6) circled them in the early stages from the back row last start to sit parked and with a strong tempo over the 2138m, faded in the closing stages. A return to the front line will aid his cause.

MUCH BETTOR (8) will take benefit from his return last time out when first up in five months. Eased from the five-hole last start and chasing against the tempo, he can be searching for openings.

SELECTIONS: LIAM NEIL (1), ARTFUL MAID (3), MOHS EM DOWN (6), MUCH BETTOR (8)
SUGGESTED BET: LIAM NEIL (1) to win

RACE FIVE

In super form at present including 3 wins at his past 5 starts, TRACER BULLET (9) will be trying to hit the target for the 3rd time in 7 days. Firing out to take control from gate 5 here last Friday, he took them all the way and backed it up on Tuesday when dictating from gate 6. Despite the 2nd row gate, the threepeat is on.

NON PASSARE (8) started from gate 9 last start when positioned back in the pack. Trying to make a closing raid, he could not get warm as TRACER BULLET claimed the prize. Closing out in nice order the start prior, he arrived for the win 3 starts back and should secure the ideal trip in this.

IFOUNDTHEBEACH (7) needs to negotiate the tough gate but might just find this a shade easier than recent outings. Closing out soundly last start, he can look to chime into the money here.

FORTES IN FIDE (2) found the pocket trail from this gate 2 starts back and with the economical trip held 2nd behind the smart 2YO CLASS TO THE MAX. Settling handy can see him feature.

SELECTIONS: TRACER BULLET (9), NON PASSARE (8), IFOUNDTHEBEACH (7), FORTES IN FIDE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: TRACER BULLET (9) to win

RACE SIX

A winner 4 starts back when grinding it out in the breeze, THE CASUAL GOOSE (8) has been able to place in all 3 runs since that win. Holding on for 3rd after working hard in the run last start, he can secure a cosy trip in behind the action here and look to make the closing shot a winning one.

ITS BACK PAGE NEWS (1) started from this gate last start and burrowing through early had the pace to keep them wide. Controlling the tempo with a pair of identical closing quarters, she was able to cling on for a narrow victory. With both her AP wins coming when leading, she can challenge.

VIEWBYTHEROCK (6) has worked his way into some form, hitting the board at 4 of his past 5 starts, the latest when just an eyelash from the winner RINGOS A STAR. The gate stings but he can chime in.

VALENCIA (7) took full advantage of an early error by the odds-on favourite here on Tuesday night to get forward, take control and pull clear for an effortless win in a small field. Some winning confidence will aid his chances.

SELECTIONS: THE CASUAL GOOSE (8), ITS BACK PAGE NEWS (1), VIEWBYTHEROCK (6), VALENCIA (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-6-7-8

RACE EIGHT

Started from the 2nd line last start when sent around them in the early stages to sit parked MAJOR MISCHIEF (3) was laying it down to them in the stretch. It was only the swooping WHICH HUNT that was able to get past as he was just a neck in arrears. Back to the front line he can cash-in.

IM JIMMY JAMES (10) shoots for the hat-trick at his first look at The Creek after successive wins at The Triangle over the 1780m and 2040m journeys. Settling in the running line before powering up in the closing stages to pull clear for an effortless 9m victory last start, he can land the threepeat.

MAGGIE (9) has been in nice touch in recent outings, the latest when runner-up over this trip to CALL ME KEITH. Fading after working in a mare’s qualifier the start prior, she has podium claims.

WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (6) will have the tough gate to overcome but was good last start from gate 7 after working hard when parked as RECIPE FOR DREAMING took the win. He can chime in again.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR MISCHIEF (3), IM JIMMY JAMES (10), MAGGIE (9), WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR MISCHIEF (3) to win
