Harness Racing Hall of Fame nominations open

Racing Queensland is calling for nominations to the Queensland Harness Racing Hall of Fame.

The Queensland Harness Racing Hall of Fame honours outstanding contributions and achievements to the industry over a significant period of time for both our human and standardbred heroes.

The Hall of Fame is separated into four categories:

  • Horse;
  • Trainer/Driver;
  • Breeder; and
  • Associate.

Each year, two nominations are accepted into the Hall of Fame.

Inductees will be selected by a panel of judges, comprised of:

  • Damian Raedler - former Albion Park Harness Racing Club CEO;
  • Donny Ross – and Hall of Fame member long-time industry participant;
  • David Fowler – Hall of Fame member, former Albion Park Harness Racing Club Chairman, and race caller;
  • Bernie Ring – Redcliffe Harness Racing Club President;
  • Brett Rail – Racing Queensland Harness Manager;
  • Chris Barsby – Queensland race caller; and
  • Jodie Jones – Racing Queensland Board harness representative.

Nominations close on December 31, 2021 and inductees will be announced at the TAB Queensland Harness Racing Awards in early 2022.
