RACE ONE

BOUNTYHUNTER (1) was beaten by the second line last start, settled back in the pack before making some nice metres in the closing stages. Collared after setting the tempo two starts back, he has the speed to protect the poles and looks to have found the conditions to open the account.

KISS THE AVIATOR (4) was in the 1x1 trail last start where he was first up in 16 months. Looming up wider on the track as the field swung for home, he battled it out to hold 3rd and finish under 2m from the winner. The added fitness will aid his challenging chances.

BETS ON MILLIE (6) will take benefit from her last start where she was first up in 12 months off the back of a change in stables. Copping the ODM embargo, she looks a podium player in this line up.

ALWAYS BE A TORQUE (7) made a costly error last start that ended her chances. Second up in that contest, it followed a midfield finish when resuming and with the likely cosy trip can be probing.

RACE TWO

ENGLISH DANCE (1) is nudging towards his first victory after finishing as the runner-up at his past two starts. Drawn inside the second line last time, he was angled into the running line and closed out in nice order behind HOLLYWOODBOUND. He secures all the options from this gate to capitalise.

HOLLADOR DAISY (7) started from gate 1 last start and was soon shuffled back in the wash up to finish midfield. Runner-up from the pocket trail here three back behind MAJORMISS, if the 1 can look to dictate, she will be in the ideal position to throw down the challenge.

DOLLAR BUCKS (6) was outclassed last start when down the line behind the classy BOLD MEDLEY JUJON which followed a similar result behind GO THE RED. Despite gate 6, this looks more suitable.

CROSS WALK (4) was on debut last start when taken back from outside the front line to settle at the rear. With some added experience, he can be searching for the podium.

RACE THREE

MY ULTIMATE HESTON (8)
eased from gate 4 to secure a running line position two starts back and was then the owner of superior closing power to claim a narrow victory. Buried from inside he second line last start, he was able to grab the bronze, with this looking well within reach.

LURKING (1) has the lone win to his name but has been close up in four starts since arriving in Qld. Not suited when forced to sit parked last time, he was under 4m from the winner two starts back. With the benefit of a cosy trip, he can feature.

WHATA REACTOR (2) has good gate speed and from this gate can look to fire the early bullets. An all the way winner from this gate three starts back, she gets the chance to take her shot.

ALWAYS AT NIGHT (9) had the pocket trail last start when carted back at the 400m when the leader caved in, before making some nice metres once clear. He can be chiming in here.

RACE FOUR

AWAYOVERNIGHT (8)
was luckless from inside the second line here two starts back as HEAR THE CALL took the victory. That has been the only miss in his four attempts on this deck, the other 3 bringing a pair of victories and a 2nd placing. Despite the second line, he is right up to this.

OUR DOLLY (7) has found some form with victories in 2 of her past 3 starts, the latest when finding the front from gate 3 and taking them all the way. It was an all the way victory three starts back and while she won’t have the leading duties here, will be tucked away and searching for the gaps.

OFFICE BAD BOY (5) has not had much luck snaring a marble and will face another wide gate here. Midfield from gate 6 last start after easing early, the start prior he was only a neck from the winner.

THE CROM (4) was runner-up two starts back when making a closing run to be 6m in arrears of the winner DOWNTOWN LUCCA. Trying to wind up last start, he can be making a closing play.

RACE FIVE

WONDERWOMAN JUJON (1)
should appreciate a return to The Triangle from the good gate, with all three of her career wins coming at this venue. A winner from gate 9 here four starts back, she was then just a half-head away at her next start at HQ. She lands all the options to capitalise.

REGAL NIGHTSHADE (7) settled in the trail here two starts back and with the easy trip was able to arrive in the very last stride to post the narrowest of winning margins. Not suite last start at the middle trip, he looks set for the perfect run to issue a challenge here.

DOWNTOWN LUCCA (2) steps up for his 200th race start and has been racing in nice touch with a pair of wins in his past 5 starts. 9m away as the fav last start, he can be handy enough to feature.

CLARES FOOL (3) made the most of conditions last start to fire out from gate 1 and take them all the way. His previous three were all from the second line and he is in the mix again here.

RACE SIX

BEEF CITY BLAZE (7)
is at his best when securing a soft trip in behind the speed and then issuing the closing shot. On a minor win drought, he finds the perfect conditions to match his preferred pattern and with placings at his past two starts, can take the snipers shot after stalking the speed.

GETALOADATHISBRO (1) is staring down a winning hat-trick after wins at the 1780 and then the 2040. Charging home last start after being hemmed away three back, it followed a smart all the way effort from gate 5. He can set the tempo here and will be gripping on chasing the threepeat.

MOTU AMETHYST (2) had been runner-up in successive outings heading into her last start. Making a wide challenge, she arrived in the closing stages to take a 1 m margin and is in the mix again.

VODKA EN ICE (3) has been thereabouts in three runs since claiming his first win of the season here four starts back. 4m from the winner at each of his past two starts, he can be close enough to join in.

RACE SEVEN

JACCKA WALLY (2)
is 1 from 1 here at the Peninsula and steps out third up from a spell after finishing sown the line behind subsequent winner TARGARYEN first up before being under 2m from the winner second up. He has the hustle to take control and from the front will take catching.

JUST JOSHIN (8) was strong to the line last start in a 70Final where he was 5m from the winner TARGARYEN after working home in nice order wide off the track over the AP mile. At his best here at his home track, he has placed at his previous three in succession and can look to descend on them.

HE SAID SHE SAID (1) was asked to do plenty of work last start at Marburg in slick time and he faded over the closing stages. The gate is a big asset here with his best work done against the poles.

STOMPEM (4) overcame a win drought last start to claim his first victory of 2022. Settled in the 1x1 trail, he arrived in time for a narrow victory. With some winning confidence, he can feature.

RACE EIGHT

ONLYSBEST (5)
was sent forward from this gate last start to sit parked and despite the tough trip was able to hold on for the silver behind CUPCAKESNWHIPCREAM. Buried at Marburg two starts back, the gate makes the task harder but with some tempo, he looks up to it.

MERGE RIGHT (1) is in search of the hat-trick after winning at the sprint trip and then at the 2040 last start. Settled in the 1x1 last start, she made her move at the 400 and loomed up to take a 2m margin. Taking them all the way two back, she has the options to challenge.

MON BEL ANGE (4) was trying to muster passing lane power last start when 5m from the winner CUPCAKESNWHIPCREAM. Luckless the start prior when first up in Qld, she has claims here.

JOHNROD (3) will have the services of a new driver with regular pilot Matt Elkins sidelined. A winner from the second line three starts back, his was wide last time and not far away. He will be grafting.

MI FURIOSO TORO (2)
was a winner from the second line here five runs back when sent on a forward charge from outside the second line. Pulling clear to a bug 17m margin, he has bumped into some handy ones in the four runs since. From this gate, he can get forward to make them chase.

CHAINLINC (1) was sent to the post as fav last time out from outside the second line. Trying to launch a closing raid, he was under 2m from the winner STOMPEM. Runner-up his previous two starts including a narrow defeat over the AP mile, he can stalk the speed here ready to strike.

SMOOTH CASH (9) was sent to the poles last start from the second line and was making late metres to be under 2m from the winner AMERICAN FLYER. The gate is not ideal, but he is a podium hope.

RAANI (7) has been freshened since her last outing when angled to the inside and finishing down the line behind IL MAXIMUS. With the chance of an economical trip, she can chime in.

ALLSTAR SEA (1) has been without a win since January but has been racing in good touch and might have found the right conditions to add another one to the tally. Finding the line in good order to grab the bronze two starts back over the AP mile, he has early hustle to dictate his position and challenge.

WESTERN SHOWGIRL (4) sat in the pocket trail from inside the second line last start and was trying to make a closing raid when 1m from the winner PAGO PAGO. She can chime in.

WHATA TERROR (5) has hit the board in 4 of his 8 outings at this track. Runner-up two starts back when using the passing lane to be 1m from the winner FAVREAU, he is a podium hope form this gate.
