RACE TWO

VADER (1) started from gate 6 here 3 starts back over the 2280m trip and after snagging back early was strong to the line when 3rd to THE MUSE. He met the airborne LINCOLN ROAD at his next outing before unsuited at gate 6 again last start. With early speed and options, he gets every chance in this.

CELTIC CRUZA (3) finished best when wide off the track here 2 starts back to take a 4m victory. Last start from gate 4 he was doing the heavy lifting outside the leader and went down swinging when beaten a head by SKYFELLA CAM. From the gate he will throw down the gauntlet once again.

PLATINUM ROULETTE (9) makes his Redcliffe debut after 3 AP starts since arriving in Qld. Last start from gate 1 over the 2138m he gave plenty of cheek and was only beaten 3.5m in a blanket finish. The gate hurts but this is well within reach with the right trip.

IMA SEA STORM (2) is still searching for his 1st win of the season yet should find this easier than his latest outing when buried in the run in a slick 1.52.8 mile at AP. Settling handy he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: VADER (1), CELTIC CRUZA (3), PLATINUM ROULETTE (9), IMA SEA STORM (2)
SUGGESTED BET: VADER (1) to win

RACE THREE

TAKITIMU EXPRESS (7) started fav here last start from gate 5 and after settling back in the pack was charging home when it was all over to grab the silver. His run 2 starts back was a nice effort when locked away from gate 10 and with a cosy run in transit can look for the gaps and arrive for the prize.

GOODTIME STRIDE (1) was luckless last start when snagged back from gate 7 at AP and probing for gaps was never able to full offer when not far off them. Taking on an Aspirational 2 starts back she would have been closer with a cleaner trip and with the gate to capitalise here gets her chance.

SPONDOOLEY (8) started from inside the 2nd line last start and after being locked away didn’t really get a run on in the latter stages. Dropping to the pegs here for the cosy trip he can be rattling home.

ZED CODE (2) was snookered in the run last start from inside the 2nd line and was hitting the line in good order when 4m from the winner. Settling handy to the speed look for her closing out late.

SELECTIONS: TAKITIMU EXPRESS (7), GOODTIME STRIDE (1), SPONDOOLEY (8), ZED CODE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: TAKITIMU EXPRESS (7) to win

RACE FOUR

MISS MIA (8)
was sent to the breeze from gate 6 last start and was working in the run when 8m off the winner and finishing mid-field. That was her 1st run back from a freshen with her run 4 starts back when only 1m from MONTANA CHIEF enough to suggest that this is within her reach.

MALIBU DREAM (10) has only started on 3 occasions with her latest run when making an early error and seeing her take no real part. Resuming from a break 2 starts back she was hitting the line in good order from a 2nd line gate to grab the silver and despite the gate can challenge in this line-up.

SWEET SCOOT (5) has claimed the bronze at her past 2 starts after running on from back in the pack on each occasion. Showing steady improvement at each outing she can chime into the money again.

THANKHEAVNFORGIRLS (2) was forced to work in the run last start which isn’t her go and under the strain faded in the latter stages. This is her best gate for some time and gives her a chance to place.

SELECTIONS: MISS MIA (8), MALIBU DREAM (10), SWEET SCOOT (5), THANKHEAVNFORGIRLS (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MISS MIA (8) to win

RACE FIVE

OUR DOUG (7) took on the AP 2138m trip last start and finding the running line was facing a task with a 27.5 closing panel set from the front. He closed out strongly here 2 starts back from gate 6 after ending up a long way back. With a cosy trip he can be coiled and ready to strike in the stretch.

LA PISTOLA (1) will strip fitter following his latest start when resuming from a spell. Starting from the 2nd line he loomed up at the 500m but just peaked on his run when wide around the home bend. Still looking to break the maiden tag, he has good early speed and can look for the breakthrough here.

LITTLE BOLT (6) has no favours from the wide alley here but this season he has been in great touch with a top-three in 6 of 8 appearances. A stylish 2nd last start at AP, he won’t be far away here.

ALI DOWNUNDER (10) will take further benefit from his latest outing when 2nd up from a break. Snagged back from gate 5 to find the pegs he chased hard against the tempo and with a perfect 2 for 2 record at the triangle warrants consideration.

SELECTIONS: OUR DOUG (7), LA PISTOLA (1), LITTLE BOLT (6), ALI DOWNUNDER (10)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR DOUG (7) to win

RACE SIX

RIVERLEIGH WILLIAM (5)
has a wide gate here but with all 4 runners drawn to his inside resuming from a spell, he can utilise his race fitness to claim a wide-open and tricky affair. Only beaten a half-neck at AP 3 starts back, he hasn’t been ideally suited his past 2 starts. He looks to get his chance in this line-up.

BETTING BARON (8) will be further tightened from his latest outing when 3rd up from a break. Forced to work hard I the breeze he was in for the fight when only finishing 7m from the winner SMILING ARMADA. Charging home here 2 starts back when only beaten a head, this is within reach.

RAFFERTY DELIGHTS (3) resumes from a break and was last seen at Marburg when unsuited from a wide gate. The start prior he struck the handy MAKOA and with even luck he has podium claims here.

ITS ALL GO (6) took on a 2nd division qualifier on Sat night and was sent forward in the early stages to find the breeze. In for the fight he only faded the closing stages. That followed successive placings and despite the gate is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: RIVERLEIGH WILLIAM (5), BETTING BARON (8), RAFFERTY DELIGHTS (3), ITS ALL GO (6)
SUGGESTED BET: RIVERLEIGH WILLIAM (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

GOOD BOY OLIVER (2) was well-supported here last week off the back of a stable change and a strong trial performance. After being unable to find the pegs he was forced to do all the work in the breeze over the 2040m which was the end of his night. Back to the sprint trip he can atone.

SUBTLE ADVICE (3) strikes his easiest opposition for some time and despite having poor numbers and big margins in defeat next to his name, this is the type of race he can bounce back to form in. Freshened after his run 2 back, he couldn’t go with them last start but this looks to suit.

TASCOTT LADY (5) rolled forward from gate 6 to find the breeze here last start and was in for the fight when finishing a 3m 3rd to the winner KYLIE BROMAC. Despite the tricky gate she can feature.

BE ON THE SLY (8) looked to take them all the way here 3 starts back and was grabbed late when finishing 5m in arrears. Striking trouble his past 2 starts, he can get the right trail to podium in this.

SELECTIONS: GOOD BOY OLIVER (2), SUBTLE ADVICE (3), TASCOTT LADY (5), BE ON THE SLY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: GOOD BOY OLIVER (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

PURE MADNESS (4)
resumes from a spell and has not been seen at the official trials. Over the 1780m trip here 3 starts back she went to the front and was grabbed in the closing stages. Following that with a down the line effort in stronger company than she meets here, she is worth a shot 1st up.

SANTASTIC PRINCESS (1) didn’t have much luck here last start when unable to find position and forced to snag back which effectively ended her hopes. 3 starts back at Tamworth she looked to take them all the way when grabbed in the closing stages and with the options here is a big threat.

CHEYENNE AUTUMN (8) wasn’t suited last start from gate 7 and the start prior took on a much stronger contest than this. With even luck in transit to find a position, she can be chiming in late.

PAQUIN (7) will need a slice of luck from this alley but with the benefit of not spending a cent in the run can be looking for gaps late. Forced to work hard in the run when wide off the track last start, she has rough claims.

SELECTIONS: PURE MADNESS (4), SANTASTIC PRINCESS (1), CHEYENNE AUTUMN (8), PAQUIN (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

GALAXY HUNTER (7)
has been runner-up at his past 2 starts from the tapes when starting from 10m marks in each. Locked away on the pegs he was charging home last start when only 2m from the winner. With early options as the lone 2nd line runner he can look to work home over the top here.

GO AHEAD MAKEMYDAY (5) has been in the money at his past 3 starts including an AP win 2 starts back when stepping safely and controlling the tempo from the front. He worked home well here last start from the 20m tape and with a safe beginning from the mobile can challenge here.

YANKEE DIAMOND (1) makes her Qld debut for Ryan Veivers following a last start run at Menangle when finishing down the line. A good beginner from the mobile, if she can handle the triangle, she can be an improver.

HIGH CLOUD LASS (4) received a great run in transit last start and looking to make the closing dive on the leader could only get within 2.5m. Still a maiden from the mobile she can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: GALAXY HUNTER (7), GO AHEAD MAKEMYDAY (5), YANKEE DIAMOND (1), HIGH CLOUD LASS (4)
SUGGESTED BET: GALAXY HUNTER (7) to win
