RACE TWO

NIGHT NINJA (1) was a big winner at Marburg 2 starts back when working forward to the breeze from a 2nd line gate and forging clear to claim a 12m victory. Wide off the track here last start when working home the run was full of merit and with his best gate for some time looks hard to stop.

WHATA STRIDE (7) chased hard last start behind DATSGOOD but the race was already gone. Her run here 3 starts back was a nice effort when hitting the line in good style after being buried against the markers and with a cosy trip on offer again here will be looking to take the last shot.

GRIZZLY MONTANA (4) resumes from a spell and has been to the trials twice to prepare. Last seen when making an error as a red figure fav back in August as a 3YO, he is up to this field at his best.

BETTERTHAN TORQUE (8) struck trouble in the run last start and the effort was good under the circumstances. Trialled since that run with the right luck in transit she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: NIGHT NINJA (1), WHATA STRIDE (7), GRIZZLY MONTANA (4), BETTERTHAN TORQUE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: NIGHT NINJA (1) to win

RACE THREE

MAYWYN TOUGH (1) started from inside the 2nd line last time out and was shuffled back in the run. Finding the line in good order he was able to grab the bronze. His run here 3 starts back was a tidy effort after racing keenly in the breeze and hustling early here can look to dictate from the front.

SAMS THE BEST (5) returns to start his 3YO season after a 10 start 2YO term that returned placings in 5 appearances. Opening the pipes in a recent AP trial, the effort was a nice hit-out behind some handy performers. Without the best of luck in landing a marble in recent starts, he can feature.

ON THE TOP (7) did some early work here 2 starts back before finding cover and was sound to the line when only 5.5m from the winner. With a cosy trip on offer she can chime into the money.

OUR ULTIMATE VICKI (9) is a Roll With Joe filly making her race debut here for Darrel Graham. A half-sister to the handy QUEEN ZENOBIA, she has trialled in good order and stays under notice.

SELECTIONS: MAYWYN TOUGH (1), SAMS THE BEST (5), ON THE TOP (7), OUR ULTIMATE VICKI (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

MACH SAM (5)
should appreciate stepping back into this class of claimer after taking on the stronger bracket in recent starts. From the pocket trail over the 2138m trip 2 starts back he held ground when 3m from OUR MELS DREAM and last start was only 2m from EXCEPTIONAL MACH. This looks ideal.

VALTONA (7) will need some factors in her favour but with a cosy trip can be looking to make a closing play. Not suited last start behind EXCEPTIONAL MACH, her run here 2 starts back was a tidy effort from gate 4 after sliding back early to find position. Just needs a rub of the green in the run.

BLUE EYED CREATION (4) rolled forward from gate 3 here last start to find the front and looked to take them all the way when grabbed late by RORY MACH. Settling forward again he will be fighting.

RED ROCKER (1) couldn’t find position here last start and was forced to snag back and then was always up against it. This is his best gate for some time and he can look to capitalise.

SELECTIONS: MACH SAM (5), VALTONA (7), BLUE EYED CREATION (4), RED ROCKER (1)
SUGGESTED BET: MACH SAM (5) to win

RACE FIVE

SPLASH OF GOLD (7) will need some factors in her favour here and be looking to get to the passing lane with momentum. Taken back from gate 4 last start she found the line in good order to grab 3rd which followed a good effort despite being unsuited in the breeze. With the luck she can arrive.

RECIPE FOR DREAMING (8) will strip fitter following his latest run when making his 1st Qld appearance and 1st start since October. Taking the trail from gate 1 he used the passing lane to be 2m from the winner SMILING ARMADA and with the right run can be in the mix against this field.

EPIRUS BOY (3) found the pocket trail last start when the running fav over the AP 2138m trip and chased hard when mid-field. Still chasing his 1st win of the season, he will also need to break a Redcliffe duck to score.

UNASSUMING CHAMP (9) was driven aggressively from this same gate last start and it paid dividends when finding the front and from there was never in danger. This is harder but he can’t be dismissed.

SELECTIONS: SPLASH OF GOLD (7), RECIPE FOR DREAMING (8), EPIRUS BOY (3), UNASSUMING CHAMP (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 3-7-8-9

RACE SIX

MAJORESS JUJON (2)
hasn’t been suited at her past 2 starts after drawing gate 5 in each and caught wide trying to find position. They followed a dominant all the way win here 3 starts back when sent straight to the front from gate 3 and never in danger. Finding the pegs she can look to take control.

KYLIE BROMAC (4) returned in fine style here last start from gate 9 when working home over the top to claim a 2.5m victory. Last prep se started 4 times that saw a return win from gate 2 and then 3 runs where she failed to fire. With a return to the front line she is in for the fight.

DONT BE JEALOUS (1) worked home in good style here 4 starts back to grab the silver. Not really suited in her 3 runs since including striking trouble last start, with the cosy trip she can challenge.

BETTOR WATCH HIM (6) returns following a break without the benefit of an official trial. A big Marburg winner 2 starts back, he chased hard last start for the bronze and has place claims here.

SELECTIONS: MAJORESS JUJON (2), KYLIE BROMAC (4), DONT BE JEALOUS (1), BETTOR WATCH HIM (6)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJORESS JUJON (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

SHEZA GALVINATOR (2) went to AP last start looking to make it 4 on the bounce after completing a hat-trick of wins all over the 1780m here on the triangle. Not suited from gate 7 and forced to work she faded out. Back to her home track and with the front looking hers, the only query is the 2280m but she looks hard to stop.

ULTIMATE AD (1) settled back in the pack here 3 starts back and with a well-timed run arrived for the prize. Dropped o the pegs for a cheap run at his next start he was chasing hard for the bronze. With a cosy trip, he will be coiled and ready to take any chinks in the likely leaders distance armour.

FEEL THE REIGN (8) added another minor to his tally last start to make it a top-three in 15 of 18 for the season. He took the passing lane to arrive 2 starts back, was charging home last start to be beaten a pimple and is right in this.

RUTHLESS ARMBRO (5) returned in the best way possible last start when working home leading the three-wide train he was too strong in scoring. The gate hurts here but he will be in for the fight.

SELECTIONS: SHEZA GALVINATOR (2), ULTIMATE AD (1), FEEL THE REIGN (8), RUTHLESS ARMBRO (5)
SUGGESTED BET: SHEZA GALVINATOR / ULTIMATE AD (1 / 2) quinella

RACE EIGHT

FLASHING GOOD TIME (7)
had put together successive wins at Marburg and then here at Redcliffe and then when looking for the hat-trick led them deep into the stretch before being grabbed late. Not suited in the breeze from gate 6 last start, she can get a perfect trip here and be ready to strike.

TOO GOOD FOR YOU (2) did the hard yards in the breeze at Tamworth from gate 6 over the mile 2 starts back and went within a neck of victory. Forget he went around last start when striking trouble and ending his chances, he can work in his races and will be laying down the challenge in this.

MINI MIRACLE (1) looked to take them all the way over the middle distance trip here 2 starts back and led everywhere bar where it counted. Closing out in good order last start she can go close.

INCITER (3) was starting to wind up in the stretch last start and went within a half-head of the winner. Only 3m and 4m from the winner his previous 2 starts, he will be in for the fight again.

SELECTIONS: FLASHING GOOD TIME (7), TOO GOOD FOR YOU (2), MINI MIRACLE (1), INCITER (3)
SUGGESTED BET: FLASHING GOOD TIME (7) to win

RACE NINE

SOLDIER OF FORTUNE (1)
will strip fitter following his latest run when 1st up from a break. Doing some early work in the run from gate 4 he was closing out in the latter stages to get within 4m of the winner. A tough winner here 3 starts back he can hustle hard in the early stages and look to dictate.

BIG BEAT (7) will be sweating on the 1 holding the front and if that scenario eventuates he will be in the perfect position to strike. Last start over the 2280m trip he went straight to the front from gate 2 and once he was in control was never in danger. In search of the hat-trick he can arrive for the prize.

PRECIOUS CULLEN (4) was looking for a hat-trick of wins here 3 starts back when landing gate 5 he slid back and chased gamely for a mid-field finish. In his 2 runs since he has claimed the bronze, the latest after being 2nd across the line but losing that on protest. He is in the fight here.

JAX NAVARO (5) doesn’t have many favours from the wider gate here but if there can be some good tempo up front he will get a closing shot. A half-head winner 2 starts back he can close hard.

SELECTIONS: SOLDIER OF FORTUNE (1), BIG BEAT (7), PRECIOUS CULLEN (4), JAX NAVARO (5)
SUGGESTED BET: SOLDIER OF FORTUNE (1) to win
